Method and apparatus for continuous pressure cooking
A method and apparatus for continuous pressure cooking product includes a pressure cooking section, an isolating chamber, and an output section. A first product and fluid valve is between the pressure cooking section and the isolating chamber. A second product and fluid valve is between the isolating chamber and the output section. A fluid valve is between a source of pressurized fluid and the isolating chamber. Product is provided to the pressure cooking section and cooked. The fluid valve is opened so that the isolating chamber becomes substantially the same pressure as the pressure cooking section. The first controllable product and fluid flow valve is opened and product enters the isolating chamber, and then closed to isolate product in chamber. The second controllable product and fluid valve is opened and product moves from the chamber to the output section. Then the second controllable product and fluid valve is closed.
STEAM PASTEURIZATION METHOD FOR FREEZE-DRIED FOOD
A method for pasteurizing freeze dried food comprises: 1) Determining the corresponding sterilization temperature according to the food to be sterilized, and determining the target water activity at the sterilization temperature; 2) Cooling the food to a temperature corresponding to the type of the food; 3) Removing the air from the sterilization chamber using a vacuum pump; 4) Introducing water vapor into the sterilization chamber, adjusting the steam flow rate after the food temperature reaches the sterilization temperature, and maintaining the food temperature at the sterilization temperature for a specific duration and ceasing the introduction of water vapor; 5) Capturing steam from the sterilization chamber and reducing the pressure in the chamber; 6) After the pressure in the chamber reaches or approaches the water saturation pressure corresponding to the cooling temperature prior to sterilization, charging clean air into the chamber until the vacuum state is released, and removing the food.
PROCESSING AND PRESERVING A KAVA PRODUCT AND PROCESS OF MAKING IT STABLE
Embodiments herein relate to one or more methods comprising heating of a kava product; pressurizing the kava product, electrically pulsing the kava product, homogenizing the kava product or combinations thereof; cooling the kava product; wherein the method is configured to stabilize the kava product against microbiological decomposition or reduce microbial count in order to improve safety and extend shelf life under refrigeration and/or at ambient temperature.
Method and Apparatus for Pasteurizing and Dehydrating Cannabis
A method and apparatus for pasteurizing and drying cannabis plant materials using a microwave-vacuum chamber. The pasteurizing and drying are carried out with no use of ionizing radiation and with rapid drying. Pasteurization is done at a temperature and for a time period that are sufficient to reduce microorganisms to an acceptably low level, while not significantly reducing the psychoactive compounds in the material. In the process, the pressure inside a vacuum chamber is reduced to a first pressure less than atmospheric. The material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the first pressure at a pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pressure is then reduced to a second pressure lower than the first pressure and the material is maintained in the vacuum chamber at the second pressure for a time period at a dehydrating temperature lower than the pasteurizing temperature while irradiating the material with microwave radiation. The pasteurizing and dehydrating steps can be done in the reverse order.
METHOD OF DRYING VEGETABLES
The present invention relates to the field of food dehydration and production of snacks. In particular, the invention relates to a method for drying vegetables using microwaves in order to produce an improved dried product. The invention also relates to said dried vegetables and to the use thereof in the agro-food industry.
HIGH PRESSURE PROCESSING OF FOODS AND FOOD SUPPLEMENTS
The present invention relates to high pressure processing (HPP) methods of and containers for preparation of food products such as solid or semi-solid foods, beverages and food supplements containing high-pressure sensitive probiotics and other high-pressure sensitive substances, which maintain their viability, biological activity and other beneficial properties in the prepared food product. The present invention also relates to pasteurized food products containing biologically active high-pressure sensitive probiotics, other high-pressure sensitive substances, or their combinations.
SEALING PLUG ASSEMBLY
The disclosure provides a sealing plug assembly including a plug body, a guide ring, a first sealing ring and an elastic component. The plug body has an annular outer surface having a plug side and an exposed side opposite each other and a first annular recess located at the annular outer surface and located between the plug side and the exposed side. The guide ring is sleeved on the plug body and located in the first annular recess. The guide ring has a first inclined surface. The first sealing ring is sleeved on the plug body and located in the first annular recess. The first sealing ring is located farther away from the exposed side of the annular outer surface than the guide ring. The first sealing ring has a second inclined surface matching the first inclined surface. The elastic component is sleeved on the first sealing ring.
METHOD FOR FOOD PASTEURIZATION
A method for treating food where inside a packaging, made of a material configured for containing a gas-mixture, a food product and a gas mixture including at least carbon dioxide are inserted. Then, on the sealed packaging a uniform pressure, between 4 MPa and 20 MPa, is applied to compress the food. During application of the pressure, the packaging is maintained at a temperature between 25 C. and 50 C.
PRODUCTION PROCESS FOR HIGH PURITY ALGAE
A photo-bioreactor for growing a photosynthetic culture comprising: a channel through the bioreactor having an inlet and an outlet providing a labyrinth path from the inlet to the outlet, configured to contain the photosynthetic culture, wherein the channel is formed by a plurality of ribs; and a light emitting diode panel along a side wall of the photo-bioreactor. A method of product preservation, comprising: treating a packaged product with a first cycle of high pressure processing; incubating the packaged product allowing spore germination; and treating the packaged product with a second cycle of high pressure processing.
