Apparatus for buffering the flow of articles
Devices and methods for buffering articles may include use of an infeed conveyor, an outfeed conveyor, and at least two accumulation conveyors defining a path extending between the infeed conveyor and the outfeed conveyor. Each accumulation conveyor includes an entrance portion adjacent the infeed conveyor for receiving articles from the infeed conveyor and an exit portion adjacent the outfeed conveyor for delivering articles to the outfeed conveyor.
System and method for distributing vials to downstream locations in an automated pharmacy
An automated method and system for distributing vials to downstream locations in an automated pharmacy. More specifically, the present invention is a conveyor table having two U-shaped configurations for moving vials in a loop until the vials enter an open outbound lane. A barrier portion on the table guides vials from the conveyor table on an outbound lane for transport to a downstream location, such as a packing station. The outbound lane is operationally connected to a lane of stations, and the system is adapted to guide the vials to the first station that is open.
Very High Speed Linear Sortation Conveyor with Dynamic Recirculation Capacity
A material handling system includes a very high speed linear sortation conveyor that receives articles at an operating speed of 650 to 700 feet per second (fps) and up to 100 fps with gapping as small as one inch. In one or more embodiments, a recirculation sortation conveyor receives articles that are not diverted by the linear sortation conveyor with dynamic capacity sufficient to handle a high speed shutdown of the linear sortation conveyor. The recirculation sortation conveyor is itself a very high speed linear sortation conveyor having a pusher pre-sort feature that can distribute received articles at different lateral positions on an endless conveyor to align with more than one recirculation sortation conveyors that may be operating at a slower operating speed. In an exemplary embodiment, the recirculation sortation conveyor has a divert section for diverting articles to a divert target on a lateral side.
CONVEYOR WITH ACCUMULATION TABLE
A conveying system includes a conveyor for moving items along a primary conveyance path. A first buffer table is releasably connected at a first lateral side of the conveyor, and a second buffer table is releasably connected at a second lateral side of the conveyor.
Automated vial feed system and method for automated prescription fulfillment
An automated vial feed system for an automated prescription filling system. The system has a plurality of sensors located above a vial distribution table for controlling the pace of vial delivery to the table. The sensors determine the load of vials on the table and a control system uses the information as feedback to the vial delivery system.
TAKE-OVER APPLIANCE FOR A SORTING FACILITY AND A SORTING FACILTY
A take-over appliance for a sorting facility for taking over piece goods which at a delivery location are delivered from a sorting conveyor, including a buffer device which forms a storage space, for the intermediate storing or buffering of delivered piece goods, wherein the storage space of the buffer device can be changed during the operation of the sorting facility. The buffer device includes a flexible, two-dimensional rest element which for the intermediate storing of piece goods forms a receiving trough for the piece goods, the receiving trough delimiting the storage space. The buffer device further includes an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the trough depth for the purpose of changing the storage space.

Article sorting control apparatus, article sorting system, and computer readable storage medium
An article sorting control apparatus includes a memory, a processor, and a communication interface. The memory stores sorting destination management information including reference conveyance route information, fixed sorting destination information, and dynamic sorting destination information. The processor selects a first diverging control signal or a second diverging control signal. The communication interface transmits the first or the second diverging control signal to an article sorting apparatus.
