TRANSPORT APPARATUS, PRINTING APPARATUS
A transport apparatus includes: a support unit that supports a roll; a drive unit that rotates the support unit; a cover configured to cover at least part of the support unit; and a load applying unit that applies a load to the support unit, wherein the cover is movable between a closed position at which the cover covers at least part of the support unit and an open position which is different from the closed position, and the load applying unit applies a large load to the support unit when the cover is located at the closed position compared with the case where the cover is located at the open position.
METHOD OF BONDING STRIP-SHAPED MEMBERS TO EACH OTHER AND APPARATUS CONFIGURED TO BOND STRIP-SHAPED MEMBERS TO EACH OTHER
There is provided a technique of reducing the possibility of the occurrence of wrinkles in the process of bonding strip-shaped members to each other. A long strip-shaped first member is conveyed in a longitudinal direction of the first member. A width of a long strip-shaped second member in the shorter direction of the second member is larger than a width of the first member in a shorter direction of the first member. The second member is placed such that respective ends in a shorter direction of the second member are freed. The second member is bonded to the first member being conveyed, such that the shorter direction of the first member is aligned with the shorter direction of the second member and that respective ends in the shorter direction of the first member are placed between the respective ends in the shorter direction of the second member. The second member bonded to the first member is then conveyed along with the conveyed first member.
PAPER ROLL RANGE TARGET DEVICES AND SYSTEMS
A target assembly for use with firearms which includes an upper housing and a lower housing with a shooting area disposed between. A paper roll of targets is stored on a playout roller in one housing and the paper target can be unrolled, moved through the shooting area, and then rolled onto a takeup roller in the other housing after a particular portion of the paper roll target has been used. A rotation resistor on the playout roller provides counter torque to the paper roll keeping the portion of the roll in the shooting area taught. The target assembly may also include one or more optical devices allowing a user to view the results of a shot without having to leave the shooting position.
Tension-inducing shaft assemblies
A tension-inducing shaft system includes a shaft, two shaft caps, and a biasing mechanism. A bore extends through the shaft between two ends of the shaft. The shaft caps are positioned on the two ends of the shaft. Each shaft cap includes a collar having a size that is larger than the bore, a keyed end, and an anchor. The biasing mechanism is arranged inside the bore and is coupled to the anchors of the shaft caps so that the biasing mechanism exerts inward forces on the shaft cap. The keyed ends of the shaft caps can be coupled to a housing so that the shaft caps do not rotate with respect to the housing. The shaft is configured to rotate with respect to the shaft caps such that, when the keyed ends are coupled to the housing, the shaft is capable of rotating with respect to the housing.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR A TAPE DISPENSER
A tape dispenser housing wound adhesive tape includes a brake spoke tapering (i.e., narrowing) from a distal radial end to a proximal radial end relative to a tape rotational axis, wherein the brake spoke effectuates the braking of wound adhesive tape on a hub by contacting the wound adhesive tape, the hub, or both simultaneously.
Stencil printer having controllable tension device for a stencil wiper assembly and method of controlling tension
A stencil printer includes a stencil, a material applicator to apply material on the stencil, and a stencil wiper assembly to selectively wipe the stencil. The stencil wiper assembly includes has a quick-change material module having a supply roller to receive a roll of material, a take-up roller to receive used material, a drive to move the material across the stencil from the supply roller to the take-up roller, and a controllable tension device configured to vary a tension of the material when driving the material from the supply roller to the take-up roller.
SHEET SUPPLYING APPARATUS AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus is configured to perform in a first mode in which a second driving unit drives a second spool to feed out a sheet from a roll to a printing unit via a second guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and a basket unit receives the printed sheet printed on by the printing unit, and a second mode in which a first driving unit drives a first spool to feed the out the sheet from a roll to the printing unit via a first guide, the printing unit performs printing on the fed sheet, and the second driving unit drives the second spool to wind up the printed sheet printed by the printing unit as a roll.
Film roll/bag-on-a-roll making machine
A film roll/bags-on-a-roll making machine includes a feeding unit for transferring a film/sheet of bags, a reel displacement unit for cycling a reel through a reel let-off position, a reel-supplying position, a film-rolling position and a film-cutting position for enabling the reel to roll up the film/sheet of bags into a film roll/bags-on-a-roll, a cutting device for cutting off the feeding film/sheet of bags from the film roll/bags-on-a-roll at the reel that is cycled to the film-cutting position, and a control unit for controlling the operation of the feeding unit, the reel displacement unit and the cutting device.
Sheet supplying apparatus and printing apparatus
A sheet can be securely drawn out of a sheet roll irrespective of an outer diameter of the sheet roll, and then, can be conveyed. A driven roller moves according to the outer diameter of the sheet roll, so as to be brought into press-contact with an outer periphery of the sheet roll from below, with respect to the direction of gravity, irrespective of the outer diameter of the sheet roll. An arm member moves according to the outer diameter of the sheet roll, so as to guide a lower side of the sheet drawn through above the driven roller irrespective of the outer diameter of the sheet roll.
