Sanitary sleeve applicator for hoses
The conceived invention provides both a film applicator and a method for placing a continuous film sleeve around a hose, or a grouping of a plurality of hoses. The sleeve thickness is approximately ½ mil to 20 mils thick, which is suitable for cleanliness protection and reducing the possibility of ripping when the hoses are dragged across a floor. The embodied invention includes a plastic sleeve payout tube, that surrounds and encompasses the hose/hoses. The hoses are routed through the sleeve payout tube when they are hauled into a building to be cleaned. The payout tube stores a compacted length of an enclosing plastic sleeve, and the sleeve pays off as the hoses are dragged into the facility to be cleaned. The initial attachment of the plastic sleeve and hoses is by use of an adhesive tape or an outer clamping strap.
Spool holding apparatus and method
A spool holding device configured to fold upon itself in a storage mode and to support a spool of wound material in an operation mode. The device includes a base upon which a pair of feet, a pair of legs, a hoop segment and a horizontal axis are detachably connected for quick set-up and take-down of the device. The hoop segment is positioned a clearance distance from the horizontal axis and includes a wide hoop through which the wound material may pass such that unwinding of the material without undue force is achieved; the hoop also includes a contact surface having a large bend radius.
Fiber optic reel stand with axle bearing assembly
A reel frame stand for supporting a reel thereon comprises a first pair of hingedly connected legs oppositely disposed from a second pair of hingedly connected legs; a first axle bearing on the first pair of legs and a second axle bearing on the second pair of legs, and each of the first and second axle bearings comprising a base and a bushing having a cylindrical inner surface surrounding an open channel; an axle having opposing cylindrical portions being rotatably secured within the open channels of the opposing first and second axle bearings to permit selective rotation of the reel supported thereon; a first brace having one end being rotatably secured to one of the legs of the first pair of legs and a second end being selectively securable at one of a plurality of ports on the first pair of legs by a fastener that is sized and configured for engaged receipt within each of the plurality of ports; a second brace having one end being rotatably secured to one of the legs of the second pair of legs and a second end being selectively securable at one of a plurality of ports on the second pair of legs by a fastener that is sized and configured for engaged receipt within each of the plurality of ports; and wherein each of the first and second pairs of hingedly connected legs may be selectively positioned relative to each other in one of a plurality of configurations including a flat configuration, a closed configuration and an open configuration.
MODULAR SPOOL STORAGE DEVICE, MODULAR SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND COMBINATION THEREOF
A modular spool storage device is configured to store a length of line, which is configurable between an assembled operational configuration and a disassembled transport configuration. In the assembled operational configuration, the device includes a ring with a U-shaped cross-section. The ring includes multiple ring sections, each ring section having two end faces, each end face being provided with at least one ring connector allowing the assembly of the ring by interconnection of the ring connectors of the multiple ling sections in circumferential direction from the disassembled transport configuration to the assembled operational configuration. The dimensions of a ring section fit into or correspond to that of an ISO shipping container so as to be transportable as or by an ISO shipping container.
Flexible conduit dispenser case
A flexible conduit dispenser case is disclosed. An outer body defines an inner chamber where flexible conduit can be coiled. The flexible conduit is coiled around a rotating hub, which makes the flexible conduit easier to dispense. The flexible conduit dispenser case can be locked to help to retain the flexible conduit. The flexible conduit emerges from an exit port on the handle of the flexible conduit dispenser case for ease of access and control. Also disclosed is a planar base which holds the flexible conduit dispenser case in position for increased ease of dispensing the flexible conduit and engagement members on the rotating hub increase the retention of the flexible conduit.
Devices for lifting, maneuvering, winding and unwinding reels
An apparatus for lifting, maneuvering, winding or unwinding reels comprising a pair of devices having an elongated retractable frame having a first end and a second end which are adjustable relative to one another; a first crossbar having two opposite ends, the first crossbar being mounted to a first end of the elongated retractable frame; a second crossbar having two opposite ends, the second crossbar being mounted to a second end of the elongated retractable frame; a first roller carrier mounted on the first crossbar; a second roller carrier mounted on the second crossbar, parallel to the first roller carrier, wherein the roller rotates axially about the roller carrier; and a means for adjusting the first and second end of the elongated retractable frame relative to one another so that the first and second ends of the elongated retractable frame are moved closer together and further apart.
A CABLE DISPENSING ASSEMBLY
A cable dispensing vehicle comprising: a frame; at least one pair of ground contact wheels supporting the frame and for travelling over ground; opposed drum arms coupled to the frame for supporting a spindle for a drum of cable; and a cable shield fast with the frame and extending between a drum supported by the drum arms and the ground in use; wherein cable dispensed from an underside of the drum is shielded from the ground by the cable shield.
Folding carousel for umbilicals
A carousel for pipe products including cables and umbilicals includes a drum coupled to a carousel adapter, the carousel adapter coupled to a drive unit. The carousel adapter includes an upper base plate opposite a lower base plate, a fixed base leg coupled between the upper base plate and the lower base plate and extending radially outwardly therefrom. The carousel adapter also includes a plurality of foldable base legs coupled between the upper base plate and the lower base plate and extending radially outwardly from the upper and lower base plates. Each of the foldable base legs is disposed about a periphery of the upper and lower base plates and is rotatable about an independent axis perpendicular to the upper base plate and the lower base plate.
Installation Trailer for Coiled Flexible Pipe and Method of Utilizing Same
A system includes a collapsible trailer frame and a lifting mechanism coupled to the collapsible trailer frame. The lifting mechanism is configured to raise or lower a coil of pipe or a reel of pipe. The system also includes a braking mechanism.
INTERLOCKED PAY OFF REEL DESIGN
An interlocked pay off reel comprises square or rectangular endplates that can be interlocked together to build a wall or skid of reels, and which allows the cable to be unspooled or paid out easily using a simple assembly. The pay off reel comprises two round flanges configured to hold respective ends of a cable spool. The flanges can be snapped to respective two square endplates, which elevate the spool and act as a stable base. The engagement mechanism between the flanges and the endplates permits the spool and flanges to rotate during pay off and applies frictional braking to prevent the spool from back spinning and freewheeling. Handles are built into the endplates so that the reel can be handled and moved easily. Interlock mechanisms on multiple sides and surfaces of the endplates permit the endplates to be locked to other endplates in all directions, allowing stacks of reels to be assembled.
