The truncated wall includes a tapered outer surface for engaging and expanding the plurality of flexible segments.

METHOD OF INSTALLING CABLE ON CABLE REEL

A method of installing cable on a cable reel that has the steps of providing a cable reel that includes first and second opposing flanges, the first flange having a first hub portion and the second flange having a second hub portion, the first hub portion being longer than the second hub portion, the first hub portion having a plurality of flexible segments; placing a cable coil over the first hub portion and on the first flange so that the first hub portion extends through the cable coil; and inserting the second hub portion inside of the first hub portion, thereby expanding the flexible segments so that flexible segments engage the cable coil.

CABLE REEL WITH BRAKING

A cable reel that has at least one support frame having an outwardly extending braking gear member, the outwardly extending gear member being located off-center on the frame; a first flange having a central opening and a first hub portion surrounding the central opening, the central opening having an internal braking gear member engaging the outwardly extending gear member of the frame, thereby rotatably coupling the at least one support frame and the first flange; and a second flange opposing the first flange, the second flange having a second hub portion, the first and second hub portions being configured to mate with one another to support cable, wherein the engagement of the gear members providing a friction for cable payoff.

A packing strap carrying case includes a casing. The casing has a bottom wall and a side wall. The bottom wall is provided with a plurality of first engaging members. A top edge of the side wall is provided with a plurality of second engaging members. The top edge of the side wall is provided with a connecting portion. A cover is connected with the casing through the connecting portion. A central portion of the cover is provided with a positioning sleeve. The circumferential edge of the positioning sleeve is provided with a plurality of third engaging members corresponding to the first engaging members. The circumferential edge of the cover is provided with fourth engaging members corresponding to the second engaging members. The packing strap can be replaced with ease by the user, and the packing strap can be positioned in the case easily, without consideration of slide.

Interlocked pay off reel design

An interlocked pay off reel comprises square or rectangular endplates that can be interlocked together to build a wall or skid of reels, and which allows the cable to be unspooled or paid out easily using a simple assembly. The pay off reel comprises two round flanges configured to hold respective ends of a cable spool. The flanges can be snapped to respective two square endplates, which elevate the spool and act as a stable base. The engagement mechanism between the flanges and the endplates permits the spool and flanges to rotate during pay off and applies frictional braking to prevent the spool from back spinning and freewheeling. Handles are built into the endplates so that the reel can be handled and moved easily. Interlock mechanisms on multiple sides and surfaces of the endplates permit the endplates to be locked to other endplates in all directions, allowing stacks of reels to be assembled.

Filament storage and dispensing assembly
09630800 · 2017-04-25 ·

A filament storage and dispensing assembly stores and dispenses filament, such as fishing line, thread or the like. The assembly includes a container having a closed end, an open end and a perimeter wall coupled to and extending between the closed end and the open end. The open end defines an access opening into an interior space of the container. A spool is positionable in the interior space of the container. Filament is rotatably mounted around the spool for storing the filament in a coiled manner on the spool. A hole is positioned in the perimeter wall of the container. A free end of the filament is extendable through the hole for dispensing the filament outwardly of the container. A container lid is removably couplable to the open end of the container and is positionable to close the access opening of the container.

3D Printer Filament Supply Container Including a Supply Control and Management System

The present invention is a container for storing, managing and monitoring the usage time and consumption of a filamentary material consumed by an associated 3D printer during the printer's operation, including a storage quantity of at least one filament, and a power supply, and filament locking means, and filament lock actuation means. The container is universal and can therefore be used with a variety of makes and models of 3D printer hardware. The filament is fed from the quantity of filament through the filament locking means, prior to exiting the container. The filament locking means are normally actuated, thereby preventing feed of filament to emerge from the container unless a predetermined set of unlocking conditions are met to disengage the filament locking means via the filament lock actuation means.

Mobile winch in a bag system

A mobile winching system is provided, whereby a motorized winch, battery, and controller are mounted on a metal plate that is attached to and may be enclosed within a bag, wherein the metal plate has attachment points for coupling an anchor component to fix the winch system in position during a winching operation. The mobile winch in a bag system provides a way to transport and operate a winch in areas that are otherwise inaccessible by traditional vehicle mounted winches without the necessity of separately transporting the components of the system and with reduced setup of the components for use.

Cable reel

A cable reel that includes a one-piece frame body, a flange separate from the frame body, and a hub member therebetween. The one-piece frame body includes an outer frame portion and an inner flange portion. The flange has an inner side that faces the inner side of the one-piece frame body. The hub member is located between the one-piece frame body and the flange along a central longitudinal axis of the cable reel. The hub member has a first end that rotatably couples to the inner flange portion of the one-piece frame body and a second end that couples to the flange. The hub member is configured to support a coil of cable and is sized to be received inside of an inner diameter of the coil of cable. The flange and the hub member rotate together with respect to the one-piece frame body.

LOCKING ROTATING REEL ASSEMBLY

A reel assembly includes a core, two flanges, and two end stands. The core defines a longitudinal axis and has two ends. Each of the flanges is coupled to one of the ends of the core, and at least one of the flanges includes a lock receiver. Each of the end stands is coupled to one flange, and at least one of the end stands includes a lock insert. The lock insert is configured to be inserted into the lock receiver in an axial direction. When the lock insert is within the lock receiver, contact between the lock insert and the lock receiver generates a frictional force against movement of the flanges relative to the end stands in a rotational direction orthogonal to the axial direction.
