RAPID DEFROSTING TRAY
A defrosting tray includes a metal substrate, a thermal conductive ceramic coating formed on the top surface of the metal substrate, and an inorganic nanocoating formed on a top surface of the thermal conductive ceramic coating. The thermal conductive ceramic coating is configured to enhance a heat transfer capability of the metal substrate. In particular, the first ceramic coating and the first inorganic nanocoating together define a defrosting surface with sub-micron pyramidal arrays.
Self-oscillating defrosting apparatus and methods of their operation
A thermal increase system includes a cavity, a first electrode disposed in the cavity, a second electrode disposed in the cavity, and a self-oscillator circuit that produces a radio frequency signal that is converted into electromagnetic energy that is radiated into the cavity by the first and second electrodes. The self-oscillating circuit includes the first electrode and the second electrode. In an embodiment, the first electrode is a first plate in a capacitor structure and the second electrode is a second plate in the capacitor structure. The cavity and a load contained within the cavity operates as a capacitor dielectric of the capacitor structure. A resonant frequency of the self-oscillator circuit is at least partially determined by a capacitance value of the capacitor structure.

Raw, frozen ground beef (and/or other meat), method for making same, and packaging for displaying same
A method for processing or manufacturing a meat product is disclosed. Frozen meat is provided into a meat grinder having a grinder plate having a first surface and a second surface defining apertures of different sizes and shapes extending between the first surface and the second surface. The meat is urged through the apertures by a coolant and chopped or broken into frozen pieces by a blade rotating a spaced distance from the second surface of the plate. The frozen pieces are then provided into and conveyed by an auger conveyor as more coolant is provided into the conveyor to further cool the meat pieces. The meat pieces are then sifted to more optimally obtain desired pieces sizes or range of sizes and/or sublimate the coolant.

Defrosting apparatus and defrosting method
An apparatus that includes a vessel. The vessel is partially filled with a product to be defrosted. The vessel rotates about an inclined axis. The vessel includes means to move the product during defrosting. The apparatus includes a temperature-measurement-means located at partially inside the vessel to determine a surface temperature of the product and a temperature of liquid surrounding the product without contacting the product and without contacting the liquid. The temperature-measurement-means remain stationary while the vessel rotates.

FOOD OR WARE WASHING, DEGLAZING AND DEFROSTING SYSTEM AND METHODS OF DEGLAZING AND DEFROSTING FOOD ITEMS
A system and method for deglazing or defrosting items, for cleaning wares, and/or for thermalizing/rethermalizing food items. The system includes a tank for holding fluid and a wash pump for creating a rolling washing action within the wash tank. The method includes placing items into the fluid so that as the fluid rolls within the wash tank, the items become deglazed or defrosted. The system further includes a discharge manifold with a plurality of discharge jets, a flow balancer for equalizing flow to multiple sections of the tank, and a diffuser plate for equalizing flow within a section of the tank. The various components of the system can be removed for cleaning, inspection, and/or replacement. The discharge manifold is accessible for removal and is configured to be easily cleaned.
Defrost apparatus and method thereof
An apparatus and a method of defrosting frozen items, is provided. The apparatus and method utilizes a fluid flow system and method, such as a fluid-push/pull system in which generally an entire volume of fluid is pushed or pulled through a cavity in which frozen items are located and/or a continuous motion system in which fluid is circulated within a fluid tank of the system.
