The method includes providing a glass processing apparatus having a first processing zone, a second processing zone and a third processing zone. The glass ribbon is continuously fed from the first processing zone, through the second processing zone to the third processing zone. The feed rate of the glass ribbon is controlled through each processing zone using a global control device. A first buffer zone is provided between the first processing zone and the second processing zone in which the glass substrate is supported in a first catenary between two, spaced-apart, payoff positions. A second buffer zone is provided between the second processing zone and the third processing zone in which the glass substrate is supported in a second catenary between two, spaced-apart, payoff positions.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR WINDING STRIPS OF WEB MATERIAL WITH MEANS FOR THE TRANSVERSE CUTTING OF THE STRIPS AT THE END OF WINDING
The machine (1) comprises: an unwinding section (3) for unwinding parent reels (Ba, Bb) of web material (N; S); at least one winding station (15) comprising a winding device (25) and further comprising: guide members for guiding the strip (S) of web material, configured to form at least a loop of web material between a guide roller (43) and a log (B); and a cutting device (61) for transversally cutting the strip (S) of web material in an intermediate position between the log (B) and the guide roller (43), thus generating a tail edge, remaining on the log (B) being formed, and a leading edge, remaining fastened to the guide roller (43).
Method of forming topping sheet and apparatus thereof
A topping sheet forming method includes: a feeding and division step of feeding a textile original fabric, obtained by weaving longitudinally aligned tire cords into a cord fabric by use of weft yarns, and cutting off the weft yarns in predetermined widthwise positions to divide the textile original fabric into a plurality of narrow textile original fabrics; a calender step of topping, with unvulcanized rubber, at least one surface of one narrow textile original fabric out of the divided narrow textile original fabrics; and a wind-up step of winding up the other narrow textile original fabrics out of the divided narrow textile original fabrics.
Machine and method for the winding of strips of web material with means for transversal cutting of the strips and anchoring of the strips to the winding core
A machine (1) includes an unwinding section (3) for unwinding parent reels (Ba, Bb) of web material (N), an unwinding section (3) for unwinding parent reels (Ba, Bb) of web material (Na, Nb), and at least one winding station (15). The winding station in turn includes a winding device (41, 51), to which a longitudinal strip (S) of web material is fed. In the winding station, a respective spool (B) of web material is formed. The winding station (15) further includes: a cutting device (81, 83) for the longitudinal strip (S), to cut the longitudinal strip (S) transversely, thus forming a tail edge, which remains on the spool (B) under formation, and a leading edge; and a holding device (85) for holding the leading edge of the longitudinal strip (S), to transfer the leading edge onto a tubular winding core (T) of a new spool to be wound.
CONTINUOUS PROCESSING OF FLEXIBLE GLASS RIBBON
A method of continuously processing glass ribbon having a thickness0.3 mm.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING FILM AND FILM WINDING DEVICE
A method for producing a film and a film winding device are provided. When transferring of the film is slowed for winding of the film to be suspended and after winding of the film is suspended, transferring of the film is accelerated for winding of the film to be resumed. The film has a tension at a first level during a period extending from slowing of transferring of the film to suspending of winding of the film. Alternatively, the film has a tension at a first level during a period extending from a predetermined time point during a period during which winding of the film is suspended to a time point at which the accelerating starts. The first level of the tension is higher than a second level that the tension has immediately before slowing of the transferring of the film starts.
Method for producing slit separator and method for producing separator roll
A good-quality slit separator having a small amount of fuzziness at a slit part thereof is to be obtained. The present invention includes: a step (S101) of conveying an original sheet (S); and a step (S102) of slitting the original sheet (S) by causing a plurality of slitting blades (72) to cut into the original sheet (S) such that tangent plane angles (.sub.3) in a tangent plane, on which a slitting position is in contact with the original sheet (S), are substantially identical with each other.
Control plan for paper, sheet, and box manufacturing systems
Systems for providing efficient manufacturing of paper, sheet, and/or box products of varying size and structure, often with pre-applied print (pre-print), are provided herein. One or more controllers can be used to aggregate orders and information to prepare one or more control plans (e.g., reel maps, reel plans, etc.) for processing a roll of web product through the manufacturing process. The control plan may include a set of instructions for operating one or more systems within the manufacturing process to form the desired finished paper-based product. In such a regard, efficient manufacturing of various paper-based products, including corrugated boxes, folded carton, labels, flexible paper, industrial bags, plates, cups, dcor, and many others, can be achieved. Further, efficient customer ordering/tracking, job aggregation, print imposition, corrugator planning, and tracking and adjustments throughout the manufacturing process are contemplated.
