METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE OPERATION OF AN ATTACHMENT
A method is provided for controlling the operation of an attachment that is coupled to a tractor via a top link and two bottom links of a powerlift. The method includes selecting a point of action from at least one of a pull point as a geometric intersection of imaginary extensions of both bottom links and a pole point as a geometric intersection of imaginary extensions of the top link and a bottom link. The method also includes determining a position of the selected point of action, and signaling the determined position of the point of action by a display unit or adjusting the determined position depending on a comparison with a setpoint setting.
ELECTRONIC BRAKING SYSTEM FOR AN IMPLEMENT
An agricultural implement is provided. The agricultural implement includes a braking system configured to slow or stop the agricultural implement. The agricultural implement also includes a hitch configured to couple the agricultural implement to a towing vehicle. The agricultural implement further includes an electronic sensor disposed on the hitch and configured to sense tension and compression forces. The agricultural implement further includes a controller configured to automatically actuate or disengage the braking system in response to a signal indicating a presence of compression or tension forces from the electronic sensor.
AGRICULTURAL APPARATUS
A towed agricultural implement including a main chassis member, a moveable arm for carrying at least one working implement located to each side of the main chassis member, each moveable arm being moveable between a working position and a transport position, the main chassis member having a support device for attachment to a towing vehicle, the support device having left and right lower attachment points for attaching to lower mounting points of a three point hitch of a towing vehicle and a central upper attachment point for attaching to the upper mounting point of the three point hitch, in which each left and right attachment point is mounted on an articulated arm connected to the main chassis member, the main chassis member further including a regulating control apparatus to secure and release a free end of each articulated arm in an operative position. This construction has as an advantage that on encountering an obstacle the articulated arm can be released allowing the working implement to move away from the obstacle.
Coupling
An industrial work vehicle including a frame and a first shaft rotatably connected to the frame via first and second bearings. The work vehicle further includes a second shaft rotatably positioned in line with the first shaft and connected to the first shaft via a coupling. The second shaft is further connected to the frame via a third bearing. The coupling includes a first connection and a second connection. The first connection connects the first shaft to the second shaft via a fourth bearing adapted to support a radial load and to accommodate an axial rotation and an angular misalignment of one shaft with respect to the other shaft. The second connection connects the first shaft to the second shaft via flange elements which are interconnected via an intermediary element adapted to transmit a torque and to accommodate a misalignment of one shaft with respect to the other shaft.
IMPLEMENT MULTI-COUPLER WITH BREAKAWAY FEATURE
A work vehicle multi-coupler assembly having a controlled breakaway feature include a pair of coupling elements that mate along a coupling axis. A shear pin is carried by one of the coupling elements. A coupler mechanism connected to the second coupling element and configured to engage the shear pin to bring the first coupling element into mating engagement with the second coupling element. The coupler mechanism is configured to shear the shear pin to permit movement of the first coupling element away from the second coupling element along the coupling axis during a breakaway event.
Safety clutch for an agricultural vehicle or trailed accessory thereof
A clutch for an agricultural implement including a rotating unit for connection to a powered shaft, a selectively disengageable unit, a zero-backlash torque limiter operable in an engaged position where a biased plunger is housed in a seat to angularly connect the rotating unit and the selectively disengageable unit for torque transfer until a maximum torque level is reached; and in a disengaged position where the plunger is retracted outside the seat. Further, a safety occlusion mechanism having an obstructing element selectively movable in an obstructing position to hinder the seat from housing the plunger and in a release position to allow shape coupling when the plunger and the seat overlap. The occlusion mechanism is biased to switch in the obstructing position and the release position is instated by an operator.
CONNECTOR LINK OF THREE-POINT LINKAGE
A connector link (1) disclosed here comprises a tubular body (13), a threaded bolt (8), and an unthreaded bolt (9). The threaded bolt (8) is insertable within one end of the tubular body (13), where the threaded bolt (8) is configured to be threaded inside the tubular body (13) for adjustment of length of the connector link (1). The unthreaded bolt (9) is insertable within other end of the tubular body (13), where the unthreaded bolt (9) is connected to a suspension member (14, 10) to counter compressive and expansive forces caused due to movement of an implement that is connected to the unthreaded bolt (9).
REDUCING WEAR IN HITCH APPARATUSES
A pintle hitch apparatus has a pintle hook with a base portion adapted at a front end thereof for attachment to a towing vehicle, a bend portion extending rearward from the base, and a pin extending upward from a rear end of the bend portion. A recess is defined in a top surface of the bend portion, and a wear member is releasably attached in the recess such that a top surface of the wear member is above the top surface of the bend portion.
Work vehicle multi-coupler with breakaway feature
A multi-coupler assembly for a work vehicle includes a first bank of fluid connectors, a second bank of fluid connectors configured to matingly engage the first bank of fluid connectors along a coupling axis, and a coupler mechanism coupled to the first bank of fluid connectors. The coupler mechanism is controllable to bring the second fluid connector bank into mating engagement with the first fluid connector bank. A breakaway feature is integrated into the coupler mechanism. The breakaway feature facilitates controlled disengagement of the first fluid connector bank from the second fluid connector bank along the coupling axis during a breakaway event, such as when an implement inadvertently detaches from the work vehicle. The breakaway feature may permit controlled disengagement of the first and second fluid connector banks without requiring movement of the coupler mechanism.
