Tubular core for tissue paper rolls and method for the production of such a tubular core
The tubular core (1) for tissue paper rolls consists of at least one tape (10) of tissue paper with one or more spirally wound tapes, such that the pitch of the winding helix is much smaller than the width of the tape (10) itself, so that two consecutive coils (S) are partially overlapped. In the tubular core (1) there may be several tissue paper tapes (10) wound simultaneously in relative helical coils preferably offset along the longitudinal axis of the same tubular core (1). The coils (S) of each tape (10), in the areas in which they are partially overlapped, are mutually fixed by means of an adhesive film (2) interposed between them. The adhesive film (2) is preferably continuous according to the winding direction of the coils (S) themselves. The presence of said adhesive films (2) produces a solid connection between the helical coils (S) and confers the necessary structural resistance to the tubular core (1) to receive, for wrapping on it, a tissue paper roll for hygienic use or domestic or other tape material.
Lightweight paper tube structure capable of high loading
A lightweight paper tube structure capable of high loading is provided. The tube structure comprises an inner tube and an outer tube with an annular space being formed between the outer tube and the inner tube; a first paper ring and a second paper ring fitted at two ends of the annular space respectively, and a foamed body discposed in the annular space, the annular foamed body being supported between the outer tube and the inner tube. The structure enables the paper tube to retain a light weight and can also enhance the loading strength of the paper tube, thus achieving the substantial effect of preventing deformation.
Corrugated cable dispenser
The present disclosure describes methods of manufacture and implementations of cable storage and dispensing systems combining the advantages of reel-based systems and box-based systems. The present system may be manufactured entirely out of corrugated cardboard or similar materials, reducing expense and weight compared to systems with wood, plastic, or metal reels or flanges, and adding recyclability in a single paper-based waste stream. The system may dispense cable in the same manner as reel-based systems, reducing tangling and aiding installation and deployment compared to box-based systems that do not utilize reels or spools. The system does not require the use of reel stands or other external components, and may be light and portable.
CORE WITH IMPROVED CHUCK INTERACTION BACKGROUND
An improved core for mounting on one or more core engaging elements such as a pair of chucks and a method of making an improved core are provided. The core is adapted to wind and unwind material thereon. The core may comprise a high coefficient of friction coating disposed on the inner surface of the core to improve the core-chuck interaction. The inner surface may be mechanically or chemically treated to improve core-chuck interaction.
Core with improved chuck interaction
An improved core for mounting on one or more core engaging elements such as a pair of chucks and a method of making an improved core are provided. The core is adapted to wind and unwind material thereon. The core comprises a high coefficient of friction coating disposed on the inner surface of the core to improve core-chuck interaction.
BOLTLESS REEL WITH PAPERBOARD DRUM AND MOLDED FLANGES
A reel for carrying cable, wire or other wound materials is provided. The reel comprises a paperboard drum and molded flanges. The drum forms a friction fit with a hub located on each flange and forms an adhesive bond at an annular groove defined by each flange. The friction fit and the adhesive bond secure the flange to the drum sufficiently to eliminate the need for bolts or other attachment means.
COLLAPSIBLE/POP-UP REEL AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A collapsible reel having a high strength to weight ratio is provided. The collapsible reel comprises a core, around which a flexible media is wound, and flanges which prevent the wound flexible media from migrating axially off the core. The core is formed of first and second blanks having core portions and a plurality of spaced apart arms or tabs projecting from the core portions.
DURABLE TRANSFER ROLL CORE AND METHOD OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
A durable transfer roll core may comprise an elongate body comprising a groove, the elongate body having a longitudinal axis. The groove may comprise a Groove Angle from about 0 to about 90 degrees (relative to the longitudinal axis) and the groove may comprise a Groove Depth greater than about 0.003 inches.
PROTECTIVE BARRIER COATING FOR TUBES AND CORES
A paperboard carrier suitable for use with textiles may include one or more strips of paperboard secured together to form a hollow tubular body, the body having an outer surface, and a coating covering some or all of the outer surface. The coating comprises a coating agent such as a silicon resin dispersed in a solvent such as isopropyl alcohol and little or no water. The coating may be applied to the outer surface by using a plurality spray nozzles arranged axially or circumferentially about the carrier.
