10870556 · 2020-12-22 · ·

An illustrative example method of determining a condition of an elevator car operating panel includes controlling a plurality of light sources of the car operating panel to turn on all of the light sources. An image of the car operating panel is obtained that indicates an actual illumination of all of the light sources, respectively. A determination is made, based on the obtained image, if there are any differences between an expected illumination and the actual illumination of any of the light sources. An indication of the condition of the elevator car operating panel is provided that includes information regarding any determined differences between the expected illumination and the actual illumination.

In the modernization of a hall display device, the number of cables connected to operating equipment may increase since the shape and the number of pushbuttons, indicators and the like are changed. In this case, it is necessary to further process a hole at the worksite for passing the cables in accordance with the number of cables, which makes the work complicated. In the present invention, a frame having an opening in the center is fixed to a hall wall, and a front plate having operating equipment is fixed in a way as to cover the opening on the hall side of the frame. A back plate having a hole for passing cables is detachably fixed in a way as to cover the opening on the elevator hoistway side.

Elevator operation and service panel

According to an aspect, there are provided methods and apparatuses for configuring wireless devices in an elevator system. According to an aspect, an elevator car is caused to perform a travel in an elevator shaft. Wireless signal strength values and a device identifier associated with each detected wireless device are recorded based on wireless signals from the wireless devices at landing floors with an elevator car mounted wireless device during the travel. Data is received from the elevator car mounted wireless device, the data comprising for each detected wireless device the device identifier of the detected wireless device and data associated with the wireless signal strength values of the detected wireless device. Each detected wireless device at the landing floors is associated with a specific landing floor based on the data received from the elevator car mounted wireless device.
