MOVEABLE MAINTENANCE ASSEMBLIES FOR ELEVATORS
20180257910 · 2018-09-13 ·

Moveable elevator car maintenance assemblies having a fixed portion fixedly attached to the elevator car, the fixed portion forming a portion of a frame of the elevator car, a moveable portion arranged within the fixed portion, the moveable portion moveable relative to the fixed portion from a first position to a second position, and at least one component removably mounted to the moveable portion. The at least one component is removable from the moveable portion when the moveable portion is in the second position.

ELEVATOR WITH A SAFETY ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR CREATING A SAFE WORKING SPACE IN THE UPPER PART OF THE ELEVATOR SHAFT

The invention relates to a method and arrangement for creating a safe working space in the upper part of an elevator shaft. The solution comprises a number of safety levels with pre-defined clearances and triggering limits for safety operations in order to create a safety space zone at the upper part of the elevator shaft by stopping the upwards movement of the elevator car, when the elevator is in the inspection or maintenance mode, with actions which are arranged to become more and more effective and definitive safety level by safety level.

SAFETY DEVICE OF A LIFT SYSTEM
20180186600 · 2018-07-05 · ·

A safety device of a lift system may include a car comprising an evaluation device and a measuring device. Conditions where departure from a door zone with an open car door or where impermissible accelerations/speeds are reached within the door zone are identifiable by way of the evaluation device and output signals from the measuring device. In such conditions, a control signal may be generated for braking the car. A safety circuit may be connected to the evaluation device and ensure a first safe zone in a shaft head of a lift shaft during an inspection run. The safety circuit may have a safety switch, and the car may include a tripping means for tripping the safety switch. The safety switch and the tripping means have a first relative position upon which the first safe zone is based, and entry of the car into the first safe zone during the inspection run is preventable by tripping the safety switch, which leads to generation of the control signal and braking of the car.

ELEVATOR APPARATUS
20180170711 · 2018-06-21 · ·

An elevator apparatus including a car, a brake device configured to brake running of the car, and an unintended car movement protection device. For the unintended car movement protection device, an allowable zone being a zone for allowing movement of the car under a door-open state is set. When the car moves out of the allowable zone under the door-open state, the unintended car movement protection device stops the car by the brake device. Further, the unintended car movement protection device is capable of changing a range of the allowable zone in accordance with a braking capability of the brake device.

ELEVATOR SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING AN ELEVATOR SYSTEM
20180162692 · 2018-06-14 ·

An elevator system (1) comprises: a hoistway (4) extending between a plurality of landings (8, 9); at least one hoistway door (10, 11) allowing access to the hoistway (4); an elevator car (6), which is configured to move along the hoistway (4); at least one safety (16), which is attached to the elevator car (6) and configured to stop any movement of the elevator car (6) when activated; an electronic safety actuator (18), which is configured to activate and deactivate the at least one safety (16); and a door safety switch (20), which is configured to monitor the at least one hoistway door (10, 11) and which is connected with the electronic safety actuator in order to allow activating the at least one safety (16), if the door safety switch (20) detects that the at least one hoistway door (10, 11) is not closed.

MONITORING SYSTEM FOR ELEVATOR SYSTEM TO ENSURE PREDETERMINED ELEVATOR SHAFT CLEARANCE

A monitoring system for an elevator system to ensure a predetermined elevator shaft clearance is provided and includes an elevator car moveably disposed in an elevator shaft and guided along at least one guide rail, the elevator shaft having a top surface and a bottom surface. Also included is a counterweight moveably disposed in the elevator shaft. Further included is a position monitoring device monitoring a position of at least one of the elevator car and the counterweight relative to at least one of the top surface and the bottom surface. Yet further included is a braking device actuated to initiate a braking event in response to detection of the position of at least one of the elevator car and the counterweight being within a predetermined distance from one of the top surface and the bottom surface.

Elevator and means for forming a safety space

An elevator includes at least an elevator car arranged to move reciprocally in an elevator hoistway and fitted on guide rails, a plurality of landing doors having landing door locks openable e.g. with a service key, and a safety arrangement arranged to form a safe space, preferably a working space, in the elevator hoistway below the elevator car, access to which safe space is enabled via at least one landing door in the proximity of the base of the elevator hoistway, and/or a safe space, preferably a working space, above the elevator car, to which access is enabled via at least one landing door leading to the roof of the elevator car, and in which elevator the aforementioned safe space has a minimum height. The formation of each safe space is arranged to be implemented as a consequence of the opening occurring, e.g. with a service key, from a floor level of a landing door enabling access into the elevator hoistway.

Solution for operating an elevator having different elevator car motion profiles

The invention relates to a method for operating an elevator system. The method comprises receiving a request to drive an elevator car to a destination and generating an elevator car motion profile to serve the received request. The elevator car motion profile comprises at least the following motion parameters of the elevator car: acceleration, maximum speed, and deceleration. At least one of the maximum speed of the elevator car and the deceleration of the elevator car in the generated elevator car motion profile is defined on the basis of the destination. The invention relates also to a processing unit and an elevator system configured to perform the method at least partly.
