A single drive three pivot fork lift truck includes a steering bridge, a steering motor that drives the steering bridge, and at least one rear wheel that is connected to the steering bridge. The forklift truck also includes a first sensor that senses rotational position of a steering wheel, a second sensor that senses rotation of the steering motor, and a controller that receives signals from the first sensor and second sensor and controls the steering motor. The forklift truck also includes a battery carried by the truck frame in a battery compartment located at the rear of the forklift truck, which can take the place of counterweight blocks.

The first electric motor is located to a second side of the centreline, opposite the first side of the centreline. The or each electric energy storage unit is located to the cab side of the lifting arm housing.

A traction motor and a material-handling motor are arranged frontward from a cooling fan. The cooling fan discharges a wind, flowing from the front to the rear of the vehicle main body, to the rear of the traction motor and the material-handling motor.

The operator seat is in the operator compartment and comprises a backrest. The operator compartment floor extends rearward at least partially under the backrest of the operator seat.

The telehandler (1) is equipped with the following alternative power supply configurations: a fully electrical configuration wherein the power supply means comprise only one or more electric batteries (200); and a hybrid configuration wherein the power supply means include the electricity generator apparatus (300).

BATTERY SYSTEM FOR AN INDUSTRIAL VEHICLE

A battery system for an industrial vehicle, the industrial vehicle including a frame having a vehicle contour defined by front, back, left, and right bounds of the frame, the left and right bounds at least partially defined by opposed outermost left and right portions of respective left and right sides of a battery compartment. The battery system includes a battery, and a counterweight assembly, wherein at least a portion is positioned underneath the battery. The battery system further includes a first sensor assembly positioned underneath the battery at one of the left or right side of the battery compartment. The first sensor assembly is completely located within the front, back, left, and right bounds of the frame so as to not increase the vehicle contour. The first sensor assembly includes a sensing device that monitors an area adjacent to the corresponding left or right side of the vehicle.

FORKLIFT

A forklift includes a vehicle body, a fork and a forward movement driving mechanism. The vehicle body includes a main body and two branch arms, the main body is provided with two ends opposite to each other, the two branch arms are respectively arranged at two ends of the main body and extend toward a rear of the vehicle body, the two branch arms are arranged opposite to each other and enclose with the main body to form an accommodating space, and a first mounting space is formed inside one of the branch arms. The fork is arranged in the accommodating space, the fork includes a first fork arm and a second fork arm, and the first fork arm is located above the second fork arm. The forward movement driving mechanism includes a first driving assembly and a second driving assembly.
