The present invention relates to a dispense head to be mounted on a beverage container having an extractor tube with a valve, the beverage container or the extractor tube having a radially extending flange, enabling a beverage present in the beverage container to be dispensed via a dispensing line, the dispense head having an axial extension and comprising an outer shell comprising a first aperture configured to receive at least the dispensing line and/or a gas inlet, the outer shell being movable along the axial extension between a first position and a second position, a stationary inner part arranged inside the outer shell, a first face of the stationary inner part is configured to abut the flange and be axially stationary in relation to the flange, the stationary inner part having a first end and a second end facing the beverage container, the stationary inner part having a wall part at the second end, a valve activation part at least partly extending inside the stationary inner part and movable in the axial extension in relation the stationary inner part for activation of the valve, and a handle pivoting around a pivot point in the first end of the stationary inner part for moving between a deactivated position and an activated position for moving the valve activation part in order to activate the valve, wherein the dispense head further comprises a locking unit arranged at the second end of the stationary inner part, the locking unit being arranged at a distance from the first face and configured to be radially displaced during the movement of the outer shell from the first position to the second position thereby enabling locking of the flange along the axial extension, and a fixation unit configured to fixate the outer shell in relation to the stationary inner part at least in the second position of the outer shell.
Dispense head and beverage dispensing system
The present invention relates to a dispense head to be mounted on a beverage container having an extractor tube with a valve, the beverage container or the extractor tube having a radially extending flange, enabling a beverage present in the beverage container to be dispensed via a dispensing line, the dispense head having an axial extension and comprising an outer shell comprising a first aperture configured to receive at least the dispensing line and/or a gas inlet, the outer shell being movable along the axial extension between a first position and a second position, a stationary inner part arranged inside the outer shell, a first face of the stationary inner part is configured to abut the flange and be axially stationary in relation to the flange, the stationary inner part having a first end and a second end facing the beverage container, the stationary inner part having a wall part at the second end, a valve activation part at least partly extending inside the stationary inner part and movable in the axial extension in relation the stationary inner part for activation of the valve, and a handle pivoting around a pivot point in the first end of the stationary inner part for moving between a deactivated position and an activated position for moving the valve activation part in order to activate the valve, wherein the dispense head further comprises a locking unit arranged at the second end of the stationary inner part, the locking unit being arranged at a distance from the first face and configured to be radially displaced during the movement of the outer shell from the first position to the second position thereby enabling locking of the flange along the axial extension, and a fixation unit configured to fixate the outer shell in relation to the stationary inner part at least in the second position of the outer shell.
Valve closure incorporating an over-pressure relief valve
The valve closure (e.g. an A-type closure) has a closure body (1) for attachment to a container, a gas inlet port (14), a liquid dispensing port (25), and a valve member (6) to sealably close the gas inlet and liquid dispensing ports. An over-pressure relief valve (40) is configured to release gas from within the container in the event that an internal pressure limit is exceeded, and a user-operable depressurising lever (50) is arranged to permit the over-pressure relief valve to be manually opened. The over-pressure relief valve (40) comprises a plunger (53) which is urged against a seat (52) by a spring (57), and the depressurising lever (50) incorporates an abutment (58) for the spring (57). The plunger (53) includes an arrowhead formation (59) by which the depressurising lever (50) engages the plunger to hold the valve open during manual operation. The depressurising lever (50) incorporates an integral hinge (62) which also forms a frangible connection so that the lever becomes detached from the closure body and permanently opens the over-pressure release valve when manually operated.
Kit for dispensing a beverage through a dispense tube comprising a dispense valve
A kit for dispensing a beverage through a dispense tube comprising a dispense valve, the kit comprising: •—an assembly of a keg (1) and a closure (2), the keg (1) and closure (2) assembly comprising: •a. an inner vent mechanism incorporated in the closure or at the interface of keg and closure, the inner vent mechanism configured to fluidly connect the inner space and intermediate space when an overpressure of predetermined value Poo occurs in the flexible bag; and •b. a safety relief mechanism (8a, 8b, 27) incorporated in the closure (2) or at an interface of closure (2) and keg (1), the safety relief mechanism designed to relief pressure when an overpressure h of predetermined value P.sub.01 occurs in the keg, wherein Po1 is larger than Poo; •—a keg connector (38) comprising a base body and: •a) coupling means (40) for connecting the keg connector (31) to the neck portion (5) of the keg (1) or to the closure (2) of said keg; •b) a dispense connector (38a) comprising a dispense tip (38b); •c) a gas connector (39a), comprising a gas tip (39b); characterized in that said connector comprises an overpressure relief vent (41) and an overpressure relief valve (42) to relief pressure when an overpressure in the gas tip (39b) reaches a predetermined overpressure value P.sub.02 and in that at least one of following conditions are fulfilled: •i The predetermined overpressure P.sub.02 at which the relief valve opens is smaller than Po1; •ii the coupling of the keg connector to the keg or closure increases the overpressure Po1 needed to activate the overpressure mechanism in the closure or at the interface of keg and closure to an overpressure Po1′ larger than Po1, with P.sub.o1′ being larger than P.sub.02.
KIT FOR DISPENSING A BEVERAGE THROUGH A DISPENSE TUBE COMPRISING A DISPENSE VALVE
A kit for dispensing a beverage through a dispense tube comprising a dispense valve, the kit comprising: •—an assembly of a keg (1) and a closure (2), the keg (1) and closure (2) assembly comprising: •a. an inner vent mechanism incorporated in the closure or at the interface of keg and closure, the inner vent mechanism configured to fluidly connect the inner space and intermediate space when an overpressure of predetermined value Poo occurs in the flexible bag; and •b. a safety relief mechanism (8a, 8b, 27) incorporated in the closure (2) or at an interface of closure (2) and keg (1), the safety relief mechanism designed to relief pressure when an overpressure h of predetermined value P.sub.01 occurs in the keg, wherein Po1 is larger than Poo; •—a keg connector (38) comprising a base body and: •a) coupling means (40) for connecting the keg connector (31) to the neck portion (5) of the keg (1) or to the closure (2) of said keg; •b) a dispense connector (38a) comprising a dispense tip (38b); •c) a gas connector (39a), comprising a gas tip (39b); characterized in that said connector comprises an overpressure relief vent (41) and an overpressure relief valve (42) to relief pressure when an overpressure in the gas tip (39b) reaches a predetermined overpressure value P.sub.02 and in that at least one of following conditions are fulfilled: •i The predetermined overpressure P.sub.02 at which the relief valve opens is smaller than Po1; •ii the coupling of the keg connector to the keg or closure increases the overpressure Po1 needed to activate the overpressure mechanism in the closure or at the interface of keg and closure to an overpressure Po1′ larger than Po1, with P.sub.o1′ being larger than P.sub.02.
SELF VENTING VALVE CLOSURE
A valve closure for a keg, e.g. incorporating an A-type valve arrangement, has a gas inlet port 11, a liquid dispensing port 12 and a valve member 6 to sealably close the gas inlet and liquid dispensing ports. A venting mechanism includes a detent 23 which can be activated by rotating the valve member 6 after the keg has been filled. This mechanism, when activated, primes a resiliently deflectable circumferential arm 22 to move the detent between the sealing face of the valve member 6 and its valve seat when the valve is next connected for dispensing. When the mechanism is not activated it does not interfere with the normal opening and closing of the valve, e.g. during filling
BEVERAGE DISPENSING ASSEMBLY
A beverage dispensing assembly comprises a beverage container for containing a beverage, the container body comprising a beverage outlet provided with a beverage container sealing member arranged to enable opening of the beverage outlet. A beverage dispensing line extends between the beverage container and a dispenser for dispensing the beverage at a dispensing outlet of the dispenser. A coupler device is detachable coupled to the container body and coupled to a second beverage conduit of the beverage dispensing line, with a first beverage conduit of the beverage dispensing line extending between the beverage container and the coupler device. The first beverage conduit at a first end thereof comprises an adapter body fittingly arranged on the beverage container covering the beverage container sealing member. A piston is movably arranged in the coupler device for acting on the adapter body that is configured to open the beverage container sealing member upon actuation by the piston causing the beverage container sealing member to open the beverage outlet to provide a fluid connection between the beverage chamber and the first beverage conduit.
Pressurized Beverage Dispenser
A tapper assembly for a beverage dispenser includes a container cap, a tap body, and a tap valve. The container cap includes a container interface, a canister interface, and a tap opening. The canister interface is arranged in fluid communication with the container interface and couples with a gas canister. The tap opening couples with the tap body assembly. The tap body includes a tube nozzle, a valve interface, and a faucet. The tube nozzle couples with a tube that extends from the container interface. The valve interface couples the tap body with the tap valve. The faucet provides fluid communication between the tube nozzle and the valve interface. The tap valve includes a tap nozzle and a tap valve body. The tap nozzle dispenses a beverage from the tap valve assembly. The tap valve body couples with the tap body and provides selective fluid communication at the tap nozzle.
