Diesel fuel cross-drop prevention kit
A diesel fuel cross-drop prevention kit that provides a multitude of couplings and fittings designed only for a single type of fuel. The kit includes a drop-elbow coupler, a storage-tank inlet tube, a primary key slot, a primary key protrusion, a retractable pull pin, a hose, a gravity-drop tube fitting, a secondary key slot, and a secondary key protrusion. The primary key slot traverses into an internal surface of the drop-elbow coupler. The primary key protrusion is externally and laterally connected to the storage-tank inlet tube. The storage-tank inlet tube is positioned within the drop-elbow coupler with the primary key protrusion being positioned within the primary key slot. The secondary key slot traverses into a first female coupler tube of the hose. The secondary key protrusion is externally connected to the gravity-drop tube fitting. This allows the first female coupler tube to fit over the gravity-drop tube fitting.
Connector
Provided is a connector including: a plug to be attached to an opening of a liquid storing container and attached to an inner peripheral surface of the opening; a key ring to be attached to an outer peripheral surface of the opening extending along an axial line and including a key hole portion disposed at an outside of the outer peripheral surface with respect to the axial line; and a socket to be detachably attached to the plug and including a key rod portion to be engaged with the key hole portion. The plug and the socket are coupled together in a state where the key hole portion and the key rod portion are engaged with each other.
A PRODUCT IDENTIFIER AND A DELIVERY METHOD
A storage tank indicator for delivering petroleum products from a petroleum haulage tanker to storage tanks is disclosed. The indicator is co-operable with a product indicator associated with a product outlet on a petroleum haulage tanker to identify a storage tank for an indicated product. The indicator includes (a) a unit for displaying a storage tank identifier that is representative of an intended destination storage tank of a product and (b) an actuator that is operable to selectively display a storage tank identifier corresponding with the intended destination storage tank for the product. Associating the product outlet with a storage tank identifier assists with delivering the product into the intended destination storage tank. Also disclosed are a product destination indicator that incorporates the storage tank indicator and a method of delivering different petroleum products from a petroleum storage tanker to storage tanks at a service (gas) station.
APPARATUS FOR FILLING VEHICLES ON ASSEMBLY LINES IN THE AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY
A device for filling vehicles on assembly lines with a plurality of different operating media, which are fed from filling stations via connecting lines and special adapters into the circuits and tanks of the vehicles.
The device structurally integrates the terminals of all tanks and circuits of a vehicle which are to be filled with an operating medium in a common assembly, configured as a filling unit installed in the vehicle. The filling unit can be brought into operative connection with a filling tool for all of the terminals of all filling stations of different operating media. The terminals for the same operating medium at the filling unit of the vehicle and the filling tool to be brought into operative connection are configured with congruent contours.
Erroneous refueling prevention device
An erroneous refueling prevention device restricts or allows insertion of a refueling gun into a refueling passage depending on an outer diameter of the refueling gun. The device includes a flap configured to open or close the refueling passage by a turn of the flap about a first turn pivot; and a switch configured to be unlocked from the flap by a turn of the flap to a half-opened state, and to turn about a second turn pivot. The switch includes a protrusion detector configured to, in response to the turn, project to a position where the protrusion detector faces the refueling passage. The switch restricts or allows a turn of the flap from the half-opened state to a fully-opened state, depending on a turn amount of the switch to be determined by a contact relationship between the protrusion detector and the refueling gun.
Erroneous oil feed prevention device
An erroneous fuel feed prevention device includes paired flaps having a surface slanted relative to a direction of insertion of a fuel feeding nozzle. A turn shaft part, a support hole, and paired extension portions are provided. A first biasing member is configured to bias flaps of the paired extension portions to turn in a closing direction. A first restriction portion and a second restriction portion are configured to restrict the flaps from turning in an opening direction. While slanted surfaces are pressed by the fuel feeding nozzle, each of the flaps slide outward in radial directions of the fuel feed passage to release turning restriction states of the first restriction portion and the second restriction portion, and after the release, the flaps turn in an integrated manner with the extension portions being in contact with the respective other flaps.
Cross contamination control systems with fluid product ID sensors
A crossover protection system including a product transport vehicle having a tank compartment for containing a liquid product, a fluid property sensor positioned to contact liquid product stored in the tank compartment, a system controller, and a valve coupled to the tank compartment. The valve regulates a flow of liquid product from the tank compartment and has a normally locked state. The system controller may compare a received transported liquid type signal from the fuel property sensor indicative of the type of liquid product in the tank compartment and compare the type of liquid product to a stored liquid product type. If the two types match, the crossover protection controller transitions the valve to an unlocked state to allow the liquid product to unload from the tank compartment. If the two types do not match, the crossover protection controller will disable the valve from transitioning to the unlocked state.
Universal adapter
A universal closure valve adapter attachable to a neck wall of a first container that forms a periphery of an opening having a diameter. The universal closure valve adapter includes a closure valve assembly that is attachable to a closure valve assembly of a second container. A flange transversely extending from the closure valve assembly of the first container. The flange includes a plurality of tank neck engagement assemblies. Each of the plurality of tank neck engagement assemblies are spaced apart from each other about the flange.
FORM-CODED UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK FILLING PORT
A form-coded collar assembly that is configured to be attached around a filling pipe extending into an underground fuel storage tank and comprises a radial lip defining an opening at its open end, and a system having a plurality of such form-coded collar assemblies. The collar assembly has a base plate with a hollow center comprising a greater footprint than the filling pipe; a form-coded collar that corresponds to a substance contained within the underground storage tank; and a sidewall extending between a user-facing surfaces of said base plate and said form-coded collar.
