Processes to Clean Tail Gas from Carbon Black Production and System and Facility for Same
A process to clean a gas stream is described. The gas stream can include tail gas generated during carbon black production. The process involves a number of steps to systematically clean the starting gas stream so as to obtain a treat gas stream having fuel value and converting other parts of the gas stream to sulfur and carbon dioxide for recovery. A facility or system having various operation units to conduct the process of the present invention is further described.
Preparation capable of simultaneously removing NO, SO.SUB.2 .and HCl
The present invention discloses a preparation method for an activated coke catalyst capable of simultaneously removing NO, SO.sub.2, and HCl. The method includes: step 1: crushing and sieving activated coke to obtain coke particles with a particle size of 40-60 microns; step 2: putting the activated coke in an oxidizing agent, stirring at 80 C. for 8 h to allow for a thorough mixing and reaction, washing the activated coke obtained after the reaction until a neutral pH is reached, and drying to obtain activated coke with oxygen-containing functional groups; and step 3: impregnating, by equivalent-volume impregnation, the activated coke with oxygen-containing functional groups obtained in step 2 with a copper nitrate trihydrate aqueous solution for 24 h, drying, and putting the activated coke in a resistance furnace, and introducing argon for calcination to obtain the activated coke catalyst capable of simultaneously removing NO, SO.sub.2, and HCl.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATING SULFUR DIOXIDE CONTAINING STREAM BY CATALYTIC OXIDATION AND ACID AQUEOUS ABSORPTION
Provided herein are methods and systems for treating a sulfur dioxide-containing gaseous stream. The method includes combusting a tail gas in an excess of oxygen gas to yield a thermal oxidizer effluent containing sulfur dioxide and oxygen. The thermal oxidizer effluent is introduced to an oxidative catalytic converter to convert sulfur dioxide to sulfur trioxide, thereby forming an oxidized gas stream. The oxidized gas stream is routed to a quench tower and contacted with a dilute aqueous acid quench stream to yield sulfurous acid, hydrated sulfur dioxide, or both. The sulfurous acid or hydrated sulfur dioxide is oxidized with the excess of oxygen from the thermal oxidizer effluent to yield sulfuric acid.
Fresh air ventilation device for air pollution prevention
A fresh air ventilation device for air pollution prevention includes a main body, a blower, a filtering and cleaning assembly, and a gas detection module. The blower is disposed in the main body to guide air convection and form a flow-guiding path. The filtering and cleaning assembly is disposed in the flow-guiding path to filter and clean an air pollution source in the air convection guided by the blower. The gas detection module is disposed in the flow-guiding path of the main body to detect the air pollution source and transmit a gas detection data.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBON DIOXIDE ABSORBENT AND DESULFURIZATION CATALYST
The present invention relates to a method for producing a carbon dioxide absorbent and a desulfurization catalyst, the method comprising the steps of: (S10) introducing an illite powder into a reaction bath storing water heated to 40 to 100 C., followed by stirring; (S20) introducing sodium hydroxide into the reaction bath, followed by stirring; (S30) separating and filtering a supernatant from the reaction bath; and (S40) separating a precipitate from the reaction bath.
