Systems for Removing Sludge from or Distributing Fluids in Sludge or Waste Collection Vessels
Systems for use in one or more sludge or waste collection devices (e.g., containers, vessels or basins). One such system is a sludge removal system for removing sludge from one or more sludge collection devices. The sludge removal system includes one or more sludge removal grids disposed in one or more sludge collection devices. Each sludge removal grid preferably includes at least one header and a plurality of sludge collection laterals. Another such system includes a fluid distribution system for distributing one or more fluids in one or more sludge or waste collection devices. A movement restricting or prevention member is provided in both the fluid distribution and sludge removal systems to prevent or restrict movement of the sludge collection laterals and the fluid distribution laterals away from or towards a floor of a corresponding collection device without anchoring or fixing the laterals to the floor.
Methods for gas filtration in fluid processing systems
A method for filtering a gas comprises passing a gas through a compartment of a filter assembly, the filter assembly comprising: an inlet opening; a first outlet opening; a casing comprising polymeric film and bounding the compartment, the compartment communicating with the inlet opening and the first outlet opening; and a first filter at least partially disposed within the compartment. The method further comprising forming a first seal across a first section of the casing at a location between the inlet opening and the first filter to form a first sub-compartment within the casing and severing the casing at a first location.
LIQUID DIFFUSING FILTER
A liquid-diffusing filter which can aerate a liquid by diffusing it and thus exposing it to air to oxygenate the liquid. The user can pour a liquid through the device and it comes out diffused. Thus a superior liquid aerating solution is provided that can more simply aerate a beverage.
RETRIEVABLE AERATION SYSTEM FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT
An apparatus for use with a wastewater treatment tank is described. The apparatus includes a track, pipe modules coupled to the track such that the pipe modules are translatable along the track, and diffusers attached to the pipe modules. Each pipe module defines a respective partially curved mating surface, a respective partially curved mating cavity, and a respective gas passage passing through it. The respective partially curved mating surface of a first pipe module is inserted into the respective partially curved mating cavity of a second pipe module, while the respective partially curved mating surface of the second pipe module is inserted into the respective partially curved mating cavity of a third pipe module. Each gas passage of the pipe modules is in gaseous communication with the other gas passages of the pipe modules. At the same time, each diffuser is in gaseous communication with the gas passages of the pipe modules.
Combination submersible and floating aerator
An aeration system may have a submersible aerator that may be located on the bottom of a body of water and a floating aerator that may operate directly above the submersible aerator. The submersible aerator may create a laminar column of bubbles and may be powered by an air compressor. The floating aerator may use a motor driven propeller to agitate water on the water surface. A controller may determine when to operate the aerators, and may operate them separately or together in some instances. Some embodiments may have a controller that operates the aerators differently based on energy supply, which may vary in solar powered systems with a battery bank.
DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING SPECIFIC RESISTANCE VALUE AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING SPECIFIC RESISTANCE VALUE
A resistivity adjustment device includes: a hollow fiber membrane module that is divided by a hollow fiber membrane into a liquid phase side area; a liquid supply pipe that communicates with the liquid phase side area; a liquid discharge pipe that communicates with the liquid phase side area; a gas supply pipe that communicates with the gas phase side area; a gas discharge pipe that communicates with the gas phase side area; a bypass pipe that communicates with the liquid supply pipe and the liquid discharge pipe to bypass the hollow fiber membrane module; and a first on-off valve that is connected to the gas discharge pipe and opens or closes a first passage inside the gas discharge pipe, wherein the first on-off valve opens the first passage to discharge water accumulated in the gas phase side area.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A TREATMENT SOLUTION AND FOR PROVIDING SAID TREATMENT SOLUTION TO A BIOLOGICAL SYSTEM
An apparatus and method for obtaining a treatment solution containing reactive oxygen species includes generating an ozone water solution and feeding it into a first of two apertures of a container at a predetermined pressure. The container including a passage body comprising a plurality of passageways having a predetermined passage-section size, so that the ozone water solution flows through the passage body generating the treatment solution in which the ozone is converted to reactive oxygen, and so that the treatment solution then flows through a nebulizer device and is released in the form of small droplets immediately after it has been generated, in which, the reactive oxygen species interact with the biological system before they can decay, or can incorporated into a gel. The traversing body may be a bundle of fibers, a porous body with a percolable open-cell lattice, or a bed of a loose mineral particulate material.
Method and device for saturating a product with carbon dioxide
The invention relates to the food industry. A method of saturating a beverage with CO2 comprises supplying the liquid and the gas under pressure, increasing the mass transfer surface, intensively mixing the components in a chamber, and subsequently feeding them into a storage tank. The mass transfer surface is increased abruptly prior to mixing by converting the liquid to a moist saturated vapor state, and the vapor-gas mixture is condensed before feeding into the storage tank. Also described is a device for saturating a beverage with CO2, which device is in the form of a water-air ejector.
Systems, methods, and apparatuses for purifying liquids
Disclosed are methods, systems, and apparatuses for purifying liquids. One illustrative method includes generating an aerosol from a contaminated liquid. The illustrative method also includes generating a vapor from the aerosol by applying a negative pressure to the aerosol. The illustrative method further includes separating at least one type of contaminant particle from the vapor and converting the vapor into a liquid.
