The present invention relates to a novel imidazopyridine derivative, a method for preparing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating cancer. The novel imidazopyridine derivative according to the present invention, a stereoisomer thereof and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can effectively inhibit cancer-related kinases, are excellent in inhibiting proliferation of cancer cells in a cancer cell line, and effectively inhibit proliferation of cancer cells (cancer cell apoptosis) in a cancer cell heterograft model, and thus can be useful as a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating cancer. Also, the novel imidazopyridine derivative according to the present invention, the stereoisomer thereof, and the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof can effectively inhibit Src and Fyn, thereby being useful as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating the Src and Fyn related diseases, and in particular, have been confirmed to be useful in diabetic nephropathy in animal model experiments. Therefore, the compound of the present invention can be effective as a pharmaceutical composition containing the same as an active ingredient for preventing or treating diabetic nephropathy.
D-AMINO ACID OXIDASE INHIBITORS AND THERAPEUTIC USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to compounds of Formula (I):
##STR00001##
or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein: each of A, B, C, D, and E, independently, is C, N, NH, O, S, or absent; is a single bond or a double bond; each of X, Y, and Z, independently, is aryl, heteroaryl, aralkyl, H, or absent; each of L.sub.1 and L.sub.2, independently, is a moiety selected from O, CH.sub.2, CO, C.sub.2-10 alkyl, C.sub.2-10 alkenyl, C.sub.2-10 alkynyl, ((CH.sub.2).sub.nW), wherein n=0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, and W is O or S, or absent; and when L.sub.2 is absent, Z is aryl or heteroaryl fused with B
C. Also provided in the present invention is a method for inhibiting, treating and/or reducing the risk of a neuropsychiatric disorder, comprising administering a subject in need a composition comprising a compound of Formula (I).
Composition Remedy to Prevent Symptoms Related to Excessive Alcohol Consumption
An edible composition to increase the metabolism of alcohol thus prevent or lessen the symptoms caused by ingesting excessive amounts of alcohol is disclosed.
ORAL ADMINISTRATION FORM COMPRISING AN IRON-COPPER MIXTURE AND ITS USE AS A FOOD SUPPLEMENT
The present invention discloses an oral administration form comprising an association of Fe(II) and Cu(II). The oral administration form finds advantageous application as a food supplement for the supplementation of iron and copper, without side effects for the stomach and intestine.
COMPOSITION COMPRISING VEGETABLE OIL, A SOURCE OF ORGANIC ACIDS, PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS AND AMINO ACIDS
The objective of the present invention is to provide compositions containing vegetable oils and an anti-oxidant system to prevent oxidation of the triglycerides in the vegetable oil in food products, in particular in products which are often stored for a long time. The antioxidant system should not give an undesired colour, and neither an undesired taste, to a food composition. Additionally, it should be a natural compound and/or common food ingredient, and fitting to the food composition with regard to taste and colour. This has been achieved by providing a food composition containing vegetable oil, wherein the composition comprises a source of organic acids, one or more organic acids other than acetic acid, amino acids, and one or more phenolic compounds. More in particular the source of organic acids comprises organic acids other than acetic acid to total organic acids in the source of organic acids at a weight ratio ranging from 0.5% to 60%; and the weight ratio of one or more amino acids to total organic acids in the source of organic acid ranges from 0.03% to 20%.
Method of producing phycocyanin powder
A process for providing phycocyanin from a blue-green algae biomass comprising the steps of forming a slurry of blue-green algae by mechanically mixing the blue-green algae in water to break up filaments of the biomass and incubating the macerated slurry in a container with at least a 1% flocculating agent for a period of time sufficient to separate a blue extract from the slurry. The blue extract is separated and filtered through a filter to obtain a blue filtrate and the blue filtrate is mixed in a container with an ammonium sulfate precipitate for a suitable period of time to obtain supernatant protein separation. The supernatant is syphoned from the container and the settled participate is centrifuged at a rpm ranging from about 3500 rpm to about 4500 rpm for a sufficient time to produce phycocyanin precipitate. The phycocyanin precipitate is spray dried to form a phycocyanin powder which is collected and purified with a citrate and water mixture to obtain a supernatant and phycocyanin residue with the phycocyanin residue being redissolved in water and sprayed to dry into a phycocyanin powder.
HARDENING INHIBITOR FOR BRINE-CONTAINING NOODLES OR BRINE-CONTAINING WONTON WRAPPER
The present disclosure relates to a hardening inhibitor of brine-containing noodles or a brine-containing wonton wrapper including an -amino acid, a -amino acid, or a -amino acid, or a salt thereof.
METHODS FOR PREVENTING OR MITIGATING ACUTE ALLERGIC RESPONSES USING HUMAN MILK OLIGOSACCHARIDES
A method for preventing or mitigating an acute allergic response in a subject is disclosed. The method includes a step of administering a nutritional composition to the subject. The nutritional composition includes at least one of an acidic or a neutral HMO, but does not include an N-acetyl-lactosamine.
USE OF PHYSIOLOGICAL COOLING ACTIVE INGREDIENTS, AND COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING SUCH ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The invention relates primarily to a method of modulation, preferably of in vitro and/or in vivo modulation, of the cold menthol receptor TRPM8, wherein the receptor is contacted with at least one modulator selected from the group consisting of the compounds of the structure type 1 described herein. The present invention further relates to corresponding uses and compositions comprising such compounds.
