REMOVAL OF ATMOSPHERIC POLLUTANTS FROM GAS, RELATED APPARATUS, PROCESSES AND USES THEREOF
Methods related generally to the removal of atmospheric pollutants from the gas phase, are provided. The methods involve contacting a first stream comprising NO and/or NO.sub.2 with a second stream comprising (ClO.sub.2).sup.0 to provide a third stream comprising NO and NO.sub.2 at a molar ratio of about 1:1; and contacting the third stream with a fourth stream comprising an aqueous metal hydroxide (MOH) solution to convert NO and NO.sub.2 to MNO.sub.2.
Processes and Methods Using Chlorine Dioxide to Remove NOx, SOx, Organic Compounds, and Particulate Matter from Marine Exhaust
Integrated exhaust gas systems, methods, and processes are disclosed that includes pretreatment, treatment and post-treatment processes arranged in a variety of reaction environments to address varied application requirements and end product requirements is described in this disclosure. In addition, a contemplated ballast water treatment systemthat can be used in combination with the integrated exhaust gas systems can treat seawater and return it to storage within the vessel or send treated water back to the sea. This system can be sized to treat the seawater as it is leaving the ship without prior treatment, while the seawater is aboard or treat the seawater that is within the ship and add any additional treatment to the water, as the seawater leaves the ship. This system is not involved with pumping the seawater into the ship or filtering the water prior to storage as ballast water.
Removal of atmospheric pollutants from gas, related apparatus, processes and uses thereof
Methods related generally to the removal of atmospheric pollutants from the gas phase, are provided, as well as related apparatus, processes and uses thereof. A single-stage air scrubbing apparatus is provided that includes at least one reaction vessel, at least one introduction duct, and a turbulence component, wherein a residence time is sufficient to allow the conversion of at least one atmospheric pollution compound to at least one other compound, molecule or atom. In some embodiments, the at least one atmospheric pollution compound comprises nitrogen oxide, sulfur oxide or a combination thereof. Additionally, methods of removing atmospheric pollution compounds from a waste gas stream are disclosed that include introducing a waste gas stream and at least one additional gas stream, mist stream, liquid stream or combination thereof into a single-stage air scrubbing apparatus at a flow rate sufficient to allow for conversion of the at least one atmospheric pollution compound.
System and method of delivering dilution water droplets within an oil-and-water stream
A system for desalting a crude oil stream includes vessel that has an interior piping structure that releases wash water into a crude oil flow within the vessel. The piping structure, which may have more than one level, has a plurality of spray nozzles for dispersing or releasing the wash water into the flowing crude oil stream. The spray nozzles may be located on a same side or opposite sides of the piping structure. Where multiple levels are used, the number of spray nozzles on each level may be the same as or different than the number of spray nozzles on other levels. The pressure drop through each spray nozzle is no greater than 300 psi and the nozzles deliver a dilution water droplet no larger than 300 microns in diameter. A mixing valve, static mixer, or both can be placed downstream of the vessel.
PROCESS FOR FLOCCULATING AND DEWATERING OIL SAND MATURE FINE TAILINGS
A process for dewatering oil sand fine tailings is provided and comprises a dispersion and floc build-up stage comprising in-line addition of a flocculent solution comprising an effective amount of flocculation reagent into a flow of the oil sand fine tailings; a gel stage wherein flocculated oil sand fine tailings is transported in-line and subjected to shear conditioning; a floc breakdown and water release stage wherein the flocculated oil sand fine tailings releases water and decreases in yield shear stress, while avoiding an oversheared zone; depositing the flocculated oil sand fine tailings onto a deposition area to form a deposit and to enable the release water to flow away from the deposit, preferably done in a pipeline reactor and managing shear according to yield stress and CST information and achieves enhanced dewatering.

Tempered Ammonia Injection For Gas Turbine Selective Catalyst Reduction System
The present application provides a selective catalyst reduction system for use with a combustion gas stream of a gas turbine. The selective catalyst reduction system may include an inlet positioned about the gas turbine, a combined ammonia-tempering air injection grid positioned about the inlet, and a catalyst positioned downstream of the combined ammonia-tempering air injection grid. The combined ammonia-tempering air injection grid injects air and ammonia into the combustion gas stream upstream of the catalyst.
SYSTEM FOR A UREA MIXER
Systems are provided for a urea mixer. In one example, the urea mixer may include perforated tube having a toroid shape configured to receive a urea injection and exhaust flow.
