Interaction chambers with reduced cavitation

Apparatuses and methods that reduce cavitation in interaction chambers are described herein. In an embodiment, an interaction chamber for a fluid processor or fluid homogenizer includes an inlet chamber having an inlet hole and a bottom end, an outlet chamber having an outlet hole and a top end, a microchannel placing the inlet hole in fluid communication with the outlet hole, wherein an entrance to the microchannel from the inlet chamber is offset a distance from the bottom end, and at least one of: (i) a tapered fillet located on a side wall of the microchannel at the microchannel entrance; (ii) a side wall of the microchannel converging inwardly from the inlet chamber to the outlet chamber; (iii) a top wall and/or bottom wall of the microchannel angled from the inlet chamber to the outlet chamber; and (iv) a top fillet that extends around a diameter of inlet chamber.

In some embodiments, apparatuses and methods provided herein are useful for dispensing a fluid, such as a thixotropic fluid. In some embodiments, a bottle having a closure cap includes a flip top, a base, and a disk, where the base and disk define a mixing chamber configured to facilitate mixing of any serum or liquid separated from the fluid back therein. In some configurations, the base has a central opening through which the fluid exits and an internal shaft with a non-planar end surface opposite the central opening. In some configurations, the non-planar end surface and the disk define channels between the mixing chamber and the internal shaft. In some embodiments, the disk includes a central opening, a plurality of partial annular openings through a planar surface of the disk, and projections extending into the mixing chamber.

AGITATOR THAT CIRCULATES MATERIALS

Disclosed is an agitator that circulates materials including an agitation tank into which an agitation target is inputted, a base plate configured to support the agitation tank from below the agitation tank, pumps fixedly installed on the base plate, connected to a lower end of the agitation tank through suction pipes, and configured to suck the agitation target in the agitation tank, the pumps being connected to an upper end of the agitation tank through discharge pipes and configured to circulate the sucked agitation target by discharging the agitation target to the upper end of the agitation tank, and an agitation activator installed in at least one of the suction pipe and the discharge pipe and configured to promote agitation of the agitation target.
