ZEOLITE MEMBRANE COMPOSITE AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING ZEOLITE MEMBRANE COMPOSITE
A process for producing a zeolite membrane composite includes a step of obtaining FAU-type seed crystals, a step of depositing the FAU-type seed crystals on a support, a step of forming an AFX-type zeolite membrane on the support by immersing the support in a raw material solution and growing an AFX-type zeolite from the FAU-type seed crystals by hydrothermal synthesis, and a step of removing a structure-directing agent from the AFX-type zeolite membrane. In this way, the AFX-type zeolite membrane can be provided.
Structured adsorbent beds, methods of producing the same and uses thereof
Structured adsorbent beds comprising a high cell density substrate, such as greater than about 1040 cpsi, and a coating comprising adsorbent particles, such as DDR and a binder, such as SiO.sub.2 are provided herein. Methods of preparing the structured adsorbent bed and gas separation processes using the structured adsorbent bed are also provided herein.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ADSORPTION AGENT FOR TREATING COMPRESSED GAS AND AN ADSORPTION DEVICE PROVIDED WITH SUCH AN ADSORPTION AGENT
A method for manufacturing an adsorption agent for treating compressed gas, which includes the steps of providing a monolithic supporting structure; producing a coating suspension that includes an adsorbent; applying the coating suspension on the supporting structure to form a coating; applying a thermal treatment to the coated supporting structure in order to sinter the coating.
Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl sorbent materials and methods of use
Sorbent materials that are treated with ions, salts, oxides, hydroxides, or carbonates of calcium, magnesium, strontium, or barium are useful in removing perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), 2,3,3,3,-tetrafluoro-2-(heptafluoropropoxy)propanoate and heptafluoropropyl 1,2,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether, and similar compounds from liquids and gases are disclosed. The sorbent materials with the disclosed treatments offer improved performance as measured against untreated sorbent materials.
Separation membrane structure
A separation membrane structure comprises a porous support, and a separation membrane formed on the porous support. The separation membrane has an average pore diameter of greater than or equal to 0.32 nm and less than or equal to 0.44 nm. The separation membrane includes addition of at least one of a metal cation or a metal complex that tends to adsorb nitrogen in comparison to methane.
Methods and systems for producing low sugar beverages
Method and systems are disclosed for selectively removing naturally-occurring sugars in beverages in an effective, affordable and scalable manner.
CATALYTIC AND SORPTIVE ARTICLES COMPRISING METAL FIBER FELT SUBSTRATES
Catalytic and/or sorptive articles comprising a metal fiber felt, the metal felt having an array of metal fibers and voids and a catalyst composition and/or a sorbent composition disposed on the metal fibers and within the voids are described. Such articles can be highly effective towards the abatement of pollutants in exhaust gas streams from internal combustion engines.
SORBENT STRUCTURES WITH RESISTIVE HEATING CAPABILITY AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
A sorbent structure that includes a continuous body in the form of a flow-through substrate comprised of at least one cell defined by at least one porous wall. The continuous body comprises a sorbent material carbon substantially dispersed within the body. Further, the temperature of the sorbent structure can be controlled by conduction of an electrical current through the body.
POLYMER COMPOSITE ARTICLE HAVING RETAINED SOLIDS AND METHODS OF FORMATION
A polymer composite article having retained solids is disclosed. The polymer composite article includes a composite region having a first porous polymer comprising a plurality of pores and the retained solids. The composite region has at least a portion of the retained solids immobilized within some of the pores. In embodiments where the retained solids are solid sorbent materials, the article is configured to receive carbon dioxide through the first porous polymer that can be adsorbed onto the solid sorbent.
Gas adsorbent, gas adsorbent manufacturing method, glass panel unit
The gas adsorbent of one aspect according to the present invention includes is included in the glass panel unit. The gas adsorbent includes: a substrate made of fiber or a porous substance, of inorganic material; and a liquid containing a getter attached to the substrate.
