Monoliths with attached recognition compounds, arrays thereof and uses thereof
Provided herein are monoliths with attached recognition compounds which selectively bind ligands, methods of preparing such monoliths, arrays thereof and uses thereof. For example, monoliths provide herein can be used in columns and arrays thereof.
Electrode array device having an adsorbed porous reaction layer
There is disclosed an electrode array device having an adsorbed porous reaction layer for improved synthesis quality. The array comprises a plurality of electrodes on a substrate, wherein the electrodes are electronically connected to a computer control system. The array has an adsorbed porous reaction layer on the plurality of electrodes, wherein the adsorbed porous reaction layer comprises a chemical species having at least one hydroxyl group. In the preferred embodiment, the reaction layer is sucrose. A method for preparing an electrode array for improved synthesis quality is disclosed. The method comprises a cleaning method and a method of attachment of a reaction layer. The cleaning method comprises a plasma cleaning method and a chemical cleaning method. The reaction layer is attached after cleaning by exposing the microarray to a solution containing the chemical species having at least one hydroxyl group.
Microarray fabrication system and method
A microarray is designed capture one or more molecules of interest at each of a plurality of sites on a substrate. The sites comprise base pads, such as polymer base pads, that promote the attachment of the molecules at the sites. The microarray may be made by one or more patterning techniques to create a layout of base pads in a desired pattern. Further, the microarrays may include features to encourage clonality at the sites.
MICROARRAY FABRICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method includes forming a patterned substrate including a plurality of base pads, using a nano-imprint lithography process. A capture substance is attached to each of the plurality of base pads, optionally through a linker, the capture substance being adapted to promote capture of a target molecule.
HIGH SPEED DROPLET SORTER
The invention provides a means of generation of high numbers of droplets containing content while still diluting the interfering molecules to allow generating large arrays of isolated droplets without increased need to sort more droplets while allowing a higher content. The invention generates a larger group of droplets containing a library of compounds, then removes the empty droplets and retain the contents of full droplets by size exclusion filtration.
ARRAYS
Protein arrays and their use to assay, in a parallel fashion, the protein products of highly homologous or related DNA coding sequences and described. By highly homologous or related it is meant those DNA coding sequences which share a common sequence and which differ only by one or more naturally occurring mutations such as single nucleotide polymorphisms, deletions or insertions, or those sequences which are considered to be haplotypes. Such highly homologous or related DNA coding sequences are generally naturally occurring variants of the same gene. Arrays according to the invention have two or more individual proteins deposited in a spatially defined pattern on a surface in a form whereby a property such as an activity or function of the proteins can be investigated or assayed in parallel by interrogation of the array.
Method for the spatial arrangement of sample fragments for amplification and immobilization for further derivatizations
The invention relates to a method for performing a biochemical or chemical reaction for an isolated, spatially separated amplification of sample fragments during a simultaneous immobilization and spatial arrangement of the sample fragments and reaction products, the amplification products, on one or more suitable solid phases for subsequent derivatizations.
METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS OF LOCALIZING NUCLEIC ACIDS TO ARRAYS
Methods and compositions are disclosed relating to the localization of nucleic acids to arrays such as silane-free arrays, and of sequencing the nucleic acids localized thereby.
POLYMER SHEETS FOR SEQUENCING APPLICATIONS
Embodiments of the present application relate to patterned polymer sheets and processes to prepare the same for sequencing applications. In particular, flexible micro- and nano-patterned polymer sheets are prepared and used as a template surface in sequencing reaction and new polish-free methods of forming isolated hydrogel plugs in nanowells are described.
