REACTOR
A reactor includes: a main reactor core including main reaction flow channels through which the raw material fluid flows, and main temperature control flow channels through which the heat medium flows along a flow direction of the raw material fluid flowing in the main reaction flow channel; and a pre-reactor core including pre-reaction flow channels of which an outlet side connects with an inlet side of the main reaction flow channels and through which the raw material fluid flows, and pre-temperature control flow channels of which an inlet side connects with an outlet side of the main reaction flow channels and through which the product serving as the heat medium flows along a flow direction of the raw material fluid flowing in the pre-reaction flow channel.

Reactor
A reactor includes a reaction unit, a first pipe, a second pipe, a composition analysis unit connected to the first pipe, a regulating unit connected to the second pipe so as to regulate a flow rate or the like of a second fluid, a control unit causing the regulating unit to regulate the flow rate or the like of the second fluid in accordance with a composition of a product analyzed by the composition analysis unit so that a temperature of a third fluid is controlled to lead the composition of the product to keep a predetermined reaction rate or yield, and a first temperature measurement unit connected to the first pipe so as to measure the temperature of the third fluid. The control unit acquires the information on the temperature of the third fluid from the first temperature measurement unit.
CATALYTIC REACTOR
A catalytic reactor includes: a reaction-side flow channel in which a reaction fluid flows; a structured catalyst removably located in the reaction-side flow channel; and a protrusion formed in the structured catalyst or an inner surface of the reaction-side flow channel, having a height forming a clearance between the structured catalyst and the inner surface of the reaction-side flow channel.
Countercurrent heat exchanger/reactor
Counter-flow heat exchanger is constructed with plenums at either end that separate the opposing fluids, the channels of which are arrayed in a checkerboard patterns, such that any given channel is surrounded by channels of opposing streams on four sideslaterally on both sides and vertically above and below.
A THERMOCHEMICAL REACTOR SYSTEM FOR A TEMPERATURE SWING CYCLIC PROCESS WITH INTEGRATED HEAT RECOVERY AND A METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a thermochemical reactor system for a temperature swing cyclic process with integrated heat recovery comprising at least two modules, wherein each module comprises at least one chemical reaction zone (CRZ) and at least one thermal energy storage unit (TES), wherein the at least two modules are operationally connected for at least one heat transfer fluid (HTF) for transporting heat between the two modules, wherein each chemical reaction zone (CRZ) comprises at least one reacting material that undergoes in a reversible manner an endothermic reaction at temperature T.sub.endo and an exothermic reaction at temperature T.sub.exo, wherein T.sub.endo and T.sub.exo differ from each other, wherein the at least one reacting material is provided in at least one encapsulation within each of the chemical reaction zones (CRZ) such that a contact of the reacting material and the at least one heat transfer fluid is avoided. The present invention relates further to a method for operating such a reactor system.
Reactor and reaction system
The reactor has a heat exchanging body which includes therein a heat medium flow channel in which heat medium fluid is caused to flow, a reaction flow channel in which a reaction fluid containing a first reactant (and a second reactant) is caused to flow, and a supplement channel for supplying a second reactant at an intermediate portion of the reaction flow channel. A catalyst is provided in the reaction flow channel and promotes the reaction in the reaction fluid. The heat exchanging body has a plurality of holes through which the supplement channel communicates with the reaction flow channel. Steam reforming can be performed using water vapor and hydrocarbon as the first and second reactants.

EXCHANGER-REACTOR COMPRISING CONNECTORS WITH SUPPORTS
A single-component exchanger-reactor including, from bottom to top in the direction of manufacture a distribution region, an inlet connector and an outlet connector, each in the form of a half cylinder and adjoining the distribution region on either side; an inlet located on the front face of the inlet connector, an outlet located on the front face of the outlet connector; an exchange region consisting of reactive channels and product channels; with each connector including supports in the inner upper part thereof.
Heat treatment device
A reactor as a heat treatment device includes heat transfer structures removably placed in first flow channels, a first information acquisition unit connected to the inlet side of the first flow channels to acquire information for specifying a temperature and a flow rate of the first fluid which are reference conditions after lapses of time, a second information acquisition unit connected to the outlet side of the first flow channels to acquire the information for specifying the temperature of the first fluid after each lapse of time, and a control unit that calculates a heat exchange amount after each lapse of time in accordance with the temperature and the flow rate specified according to the information acquired by the first information acquisition unit and the second information acquisition unit, so as to estimate a service life of the heat transfer structures in accordance with the heat exchange amount.
