Material dispense tips and methods for forming the same
A dispense tip constructed and arranged to communicate with a material dispensing pump comprises an elongated neck and a molded base having a first portion and a second portion opposite the first portion. The neck extends from the first portion of the base. The second portion is constructed and arranged to abut an outlet surface of the pump. An outermost region of the second portion of the base includes a compressible fluid-tight surface that compliantly conforms to the outlet surface when the dispense tip is mounted to the pump.
Electrostatic spray drying nozzle assembly
An electrostatic sprayer operable at high flow rates and low pressures particularly suitable for spray drying. The sprayer includes an elongated body having a downstream spray nozzle assembly through which electrically charged liquid is directed via a central feed tube within the nozzle body and atomizing air is supplied via an annular passage about the liquid feed tube. In one embodiment, the nozzle assembly is an external mix cluster head spray nozzle assembly having a plurality of circumferentially spaced metallic spray tips. In another embodiment, the spray nozzle is an internal mix nozzle assembly having a spray tip with an internal mixing chamber for atomizing liquid prior to discharge.
MULTI-PHYSICS FLUID ATOMIZER AND METHODS
A fluid mixing device that includes a housing having a fuel inlet and at least one primary orifice positioned at the inlet, wherein the at least one orifice configured to disperse a stream of fuel into a plurality of fuel droplets. The plurality of fuel droplets contact a fuel impingement surface to break up the plurality of fuel droplets into a plurality of smaller secondary droplets and create a thin film of secondary droplets on the impingement surface. At least one pressurized air channel delivers an airflow into contact with the secondary droplets. The secondary droplets pass through a plurality of secondary outlet orifices to exit the housing. A size of the plurality of secondary droplets is reduced when passing out of the plurality of secondary orifices.
High melting point metal or alloy powders atomization manufacturing processes
There are provided high melting point metal or alloy powder atomization manufacturing processes comprising providing a melt of the high melting point metal or alloy through a feed tube; diverting the melt at a diverting angle with respect to a central axis of the feed tube to obtain a diverted melt; directing the diverted melt to an atomization area; and providing at least one atomization gas stream to the atomization area. The atomization process can be carried out in the presence of water within an atomization chamber used for the atomization process.
CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE FOR SPRAYING A FLUID, ARRANGEMENT HAVING A CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CLUSTER HEAD NOZZLE
A cluster head nozzle for spraying a fluid, having a single-piece housing and multiple outlet openings which are arranged around a central region on a front side of the housing for individual spray jets, and at least one purge air outlet opening for purge air. The at least one purge air outlet opening and sections of a feed channel for the purge air are provided in the single-piece housing.
FLUID CATALYTIC CRACKING FEED INJECTOR
A feed injector may have a body having an outer wall and an inner wall with a first conduit formed between the outer wall and the inner wall. The first conduit is configured to receive a atomizing gas. Additionally, a second conduit may be formed by the inner wall, and the second conduit is configured to receive a liquid. The first conduit and the second conduit are separated by the inner wall. Further, a mixing chamber may be provided at an outlet of the first conduit and an outlet of the second conduit. The atomizing gas from the first conduit and the liquid from the second conduit hit and/or mix together in the mixing chamber to form liquid droplets and a mixture of the atomizing gas and the liquid. Furthermore, a flow cone may have a first end in the second conduit and a second end in the mixing chamber.
Compact spraying module, system for spraying and controlling a plurality of such modules, and method for controlling modules of such a system
Disclosed is a compact spraying module for spraying a liquid in the form of droplets for treating a target. The module includes a spraying unit including a nozzle containing at least one spraying member and a fan that is capable of generating a carrying air flow in the nozzle and of carrying the droplets originating from the member to the target. The module includes its own liquid supply system that and includes an electric pump, an electronic control and monitoring unit, a holder that keeps the pump near the spraying unit, an individual communication interface, and a power supply interface. Also disclosed is a system for spraying and controlling a plurality of such modules and to a method for controlling modules of such a system.
Reductant nozzle with radial air injection
A nozzle including a first channel, a second channel annularly disposed around the first channel, and a plurality of third channels fluidly connected to the second channel. The nozzle includes an interior cavity having a first inlet fluidly connected to the first channel and a plurality of second inlets. Individual second inlets of the plurality of second inlets fluidly connect to individual third channels of the plurality of third channels. The interior cavity includes an outlet and an impinging surface located opposite the first inlet.
Reductant nozzle with concave impinging surface
A nozzle including an interior cavity, a structure disposed within the interior cavity, a first channel fluidly connected to the interior cavity, one or more second channels fluidly connected to the interior cavity, and one or more outlets coupled to the interior cavity. The structure includes a bottom impinging surface that is at least partially concave, one or more legs that support the bottom impinging surface, and a top surface located opposite the bottom impinging surface.
