Spray tip and method of manufacture
A spray tip comprises a tip body, a tip piece, and a pre-orifice piece. The tip body has a fluid channel along a channel axis (A.sub.C). The tip piece is disposed within the fluid channel, and has a stepped, narrowing passage that terminates in an outlet orifice. The pre-orifice piece has an inlet passage, and is disposed within the fluid channel, abutting and immediately upstream of the tip piece. The pre-orifice piece and the tip piece together define a turbulating chamber therebetween.
Material Cartridge Arrangement for a Dispensing System
A material cartridge arrangement (100, 101) for a dispensing system, comprising a material cartridge (2) having a first end (2a), an opposing second end (2b) and an ink material channel (5) extending between the first and second ends in the material cartridge (2), the ink material channel (5) being bounded by an ink material channel wall/walls (9) extending between the first (2a) and second ends (2b). An ink material pressurising device (3) is arranged to cause ink material hold in the ink material channel (5) to flow in a direction from said first end (2a) towards said second end (2b) and through an ink material outlet. At least one temperature sensing element (16) is arranged at a position along the direction of extension of the ink material channel (5) and arranged to measure a temperature at the ink material channel wall (9).
SYSTEM, CARTRIDGE AND PROCESS
A cartridge for a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, for dispensing a medicament composed of or produced from a plurality of components and a system including a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, and such a cartridge. The cartridge includes at least two fluidically separated chambers which each contain at least one component of the medicament, an actuating mechanism for fluidically connecting the chambers and mixing the components for the dispensing of the medicament A method for preparing a medicament composed of a plurality of components in a cartridge for the dispensing of said medicament by way of a dispensing device, such as a nebulizer, where a plurality of fluidically separated chambers of the cartridge are fluidically connected, and a component of the medicament is at least partially transferred from one of the chambers to another of the chambers with another component of the medicament in order to mix the components. Only once the components have been mixed is the cartridge opened for the extraction of a dose of the medicament.
Device for dispensing a pressurized material
A device for dispensing a pressurized material, includes a body defining a pressurizing chamber containing a gas generator, and a tank containing the material to be dispensed, the tank being defined by an end wall having an outlet orifice. The device includes a piston, to move inside the body, separating the pressurizing chamber from the tank, the gas generator to trigger the dispensing of the material to the outside of the body through the outlet orifice by causing the piston to pass from a material-storage, first position to an end-of-material-dispensing, second position in which the piston faces the end wall. The piston, when in the first position, presents a housing that is closed by a fragile portion beside the pressurizing chamber and that is open beside the tank, the housing containing a striker element that is held in the housing and that defines a channel opening out into the tank.
Nose-to-brain drug delivery device
A nose-to-brain drug delivery device is provided. The nose-to-brain drug delivery device includes a freeze-dried drug container for storing a freeze-dried drug, a restoring solvent container for storing a solvent for thawing the freeze-dried drug, a membrane for preventing the freeze-dried drug from being mixed with the solvent, and a compressor for providing a driving force. The membrane is opened by the driving force of the compressor to mix the freeze-dried drug with the solvent, thereby thawing the freeze-dried drug, and the thawed drug is sprayed by the driving force of the compressor.
Propellant-free continuous dispenser
A Propellant-Free continuous dispenser for dispensing liquid or viscous materials under pressure. The container comprises a tension surface, and a bag containing the liquid to be dispensed, which is in contact with the tension surface. An actuatable valve to which the bag is open serves to controllably release the liquid from the bag, and a diaphragm forms a floor to the tension surface underneath the bag. The diaphragm is elasticated and presses the bag against the tension surface to flatten the bag, thus to expel the contents under pressure.
Modular device for cell spraying
Systems and methods for spraying a liquid treatment solution include a syringe attachment device and a handheld device. The syringe attachment device can be configured to secure a syringe containing the liquid treatment solution. The handheld device can have a movable slide configured to dispense the treatment solution from the syringe. The spray deposition system can include a cover' positioned to provide an impervious barrier between at least a portion of the syringe attachment device and the handheld device. The cover can be attached to the syringe attachment device prior to coupling the devices together. In an example, the cover can have a generally tubular shape with a closed end and an open end. The handheld device can be inserted into the cover and the cover can enclose the handheld device in the assembled position. In an example, the cover can be sterile and at least a portion of the syringe attachment device can be sterile.
VALVE SYSTEM FOR FORMULA CARTRIDGE
A valve system comprises: a valve body; a valve cap; and a valve plug between the valve body and valve cap is compressed radially and axially, and a central bore extends wholly through the valve body and valve cap and partially through the valve plug. The valve system is welded to a packet which can contain a hair color formula. One or more of the packets are then used in a cartridge compatible with a dispensing device.
MODULAR DEVICE FOR CELL SPRAYING
Systems and methods for spraying a liquid treatment solution can include a syringe attachment device and a handheld device, which are configured to be coupled together in an assembled position of the system. The syringe attachment device can be configured to secure a syringe containing the liquid treatment solution. In an example, the treatment solution can include autologous skin cells for treating a tissue wound. The handheld device can have a movable slide configured to dispense the treatment solution from the syringe. In an example, the spray deposition system can include a cover positioned to provide an impervious barrier between at least a portion of the syringe attachment device and the handheld device. In an example, after delivery of the treatment solution, the syringe attachment device can be disposed of and the handheld device can be reused.
PIEZOELECTRIC DISPENSER WITH REPLACEABLE AMPOULE
Fluid delivery devices and methods are described, where the device may comprise a piezoelectric actuator operatively coupled to an ampoule with fluid, under a preloading force. The ampoule may comprise a thin-walled thermoplastic package which includes one or more apertures positioned on the wall of the ampoule. The piezoelectric actuator may be configured to clamp at least partially around the circumference of the ampoule and apply oscillations to its wall. The oscillations, typically in ultrasonic frequency, produce cycles of acoustic pressure in the fluid, leading to ejection of the fluid droplets or streams from the apertures.
