PUMP SYSTEMS, PUMP ENGINES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

A pump engine assembly includes an output cylinder that may be customized to include a stop portion limiting the stroke of a piston to produce a particular output such that customized pump systems may be produced from similar parts with the exchange of only a single partthe output cylinder, and wherein movement of a fluid lock in a product chamber creates a suck-back feature capable of pulling product away from a dispensing head opening.

ADJUSTABLE STROKE DISPENSER

A flowable product dispenser has a movable actuator (24) whose stroke length, represented by axial travel, corresponds to the product dosage which is dispensed. An adjustable ring (26) is fitted to a portion of the actuator wherein the position of the ring on the actuator determines the stroke length. This adjustable stroke feature allows the user of the dispenser to select a desired dosage within a dosage range for the particular dispenser.

DISPENSING CONTAINER AND ACTUATOR THEREFOR

A fluid dispenser, comprising: an actuator with a rotatable dial; a valve assembly connected to the actuator, the valve assembly being configured so as to cause fluid to be drawn from a reservoir and released from the dispenser during at least part of the time when the dial is rotated from a start position to one of a plurality of dosage positions and back to the start position, the plurality of dosage positions being at different respective angular positions of the dial; the actuator being configured to provide perceptible feedback at each of the plurality of dosage positions.

Adjustable pump

An adjustable pump includes a ring connected to an open end of a container, a cap rectilinearly movable relative to the ring to dispense fluid from the container, and a quantity-adjusting unit that includes a limiting element and a knob. The limiting element is adapted for contacting the cap and hence limiting the rectilinear movement of the cap relative to the ring. The limiting element is rectilinearly movable relative to the ring to adjust a stroke of the movement of the cap relative to the ring. The limiting element includes at least one boss. The knob is rotatable relative to the ring around the limiting element. The knob includes at least one helical groove that receives the boss so that the limiting element is moved relative to the ring as the knob is rotated relative to the ring.

Tamper-proof and controlled dosing container

A tamper-proof and controlled dosing container including a container to store contents, an actuator coupled with the container, the actuator being depressible in a longitudinal direction to drive the contents held in the container out of a nozzle protruding horizontally from the actuator, and a functional ring. The functional ring further includes a tamper ring portion, a dosing ring portion, and a nozzle plug. The nozzle plug is affixed to the functional ring at one end and includes a protrusion at the opposite end to plug an orifice of the nozzle. The tamper ring portion is removably provided on the functional ring so as to prevent tampering with the contents held in the container. The dosing ring portion is controls the dose dispensed from the container by limiting the vertical movement of the actuator.

Metering dispenser for discharging an in particular pasty or viscous material, such as cosmetic creams, adhesives and the like

The invention relates to a metering dispenser for putting out pasty or viscous material, comprising a dispenser housing, a cartridge arranged therein, an applicator and a pump unit. The metering dispenser according to the invention is provided with an actuating device which is formed by a push button, wherein the pump unit is activated by pushing the push button into the housing in order to put out the material.

Dispenser with stroke adjustment capabilities

A stroke adjuster and an associated dispenser are provided. An example embodiment provides a dispenser configured to dispense a fluid or foam and comprising a housing and a stroke adjuster. The housing comprises at least one housing engagement surface and defines an adjuster receiving area. The adjuster receiving area is configured to receive the stroke adjuster in one of either a first orientation or a second orientation. When the stroke adjuster is oriented within the dispenser in the first orientation a first surface is oriented upward and, when the dispenser is activated, a lower pump engagement surface of the pump is engaged by the first surface of the stroke adjuster. When the stroke adjuster is oriented within the dispenser in the second position a second surface is oriented upward and, when the dispenser is activated, the lower pump engagement surface is engaged by the housing engagement surface.

Piston pump with locking pistons

A piston pump with an improved arrangement by which a piston-forming element is movable relative to a piston chamber-forming element between locked and unlocked positions. The piston chamber-forming body has a collar member having an inner guide tube coaxially about an axis with a lug member extending radially inwardly therefrom and the piston-forming element has a slide tube coaxially radially inwardly of the collar member with the slide tube carrying motion control features for interaction and engagement with the lug member whereby relative axial and rotational movement of the piston-forming element relative to the piston chamber-forming body provides for the adoption of positions in which the pump is operable to dispense fluid and positions in which the pump is inoperative.
