Pump Assembly and Container With Contents Discharge Function
In a pump assembly, the outer wall of the first inner-housing sidewall, the inner wall of the second inner-housing sidewall and the inner-housing top wall define a first chamber with a first opening, and the gas chamber of the first chamber is a sealed chamber collectively defined by the piston portion, the inner-housing top wall, the outer wall of the first inner-housing sidewall and the inner wall of the second inner-housing sidewall, so that the formation of the sealed chamber does not require an additional sealing ring. This thereby reduces the risk of gas leakage due to aging of the sealing ring. A container with contents discharge function provided by this disclosure can include the above pump assembly.
Dispensing pump with locking structures and methods of using the same
A dispensing pump includes a spring assembly and a locking arrangement to prevent the dispensing head from being deployed and/or actuated during shipment, stocking and pre-purchase handling. The dispensing pump includes a pump base, and a dispensing head having a piston stem. The spring assembly includes a slotted tubular spring element and first and second loading cones received at opposing ends of the slotted tubular spring element. Various locking arrangements may include interacting rotatable lugs provided between the dispensing head and the pump base, snap beads to retain the piston and dispensing head in a secured shipping position, and recyclable locking rings disposed between the dispensing head and pump base which prevent an active dispensing head from being actuated.
PUMP DISPENSERS, ESPECIALLY FOAM DISPENSERS
Pump dispenser comprising a pump and a container for liquid to be dispensed, the pump comprising a pump body mounted in the neck of the container and a plunger reciprocable relative to the pump body to alter the volume of a pump chamber defined in the pump body and having an inlet and an outlet, the outlet leading through an outlet passage to a discharge opening. The pump cylinder body is retained at the container neck. A vent is provided in the cylinder body wall adjacent the neck edge. A vent block ring is disposed in the cylinder body adjacent the vent, and is moveable between blocked and unblocked positions relative to the vent. The vent block ring has an integral upward projecting formation which is engaged by part of the plunger in a locked-down position of the plunger, so that when the plunger is locked down the vent block element blocks the vent, while in a relatively extended position of the plunger the vent block element is in the unblocked position.
Valve retention under pressure
A one-way valve assembly including a chamber forming body and a valve forming body. The chamber forming body has an opening that extends along an axis and a radially outwardly directed catch surface. The valve forming body extends through the opening, and has an inner sealing disc that is positioned axially inwardly from the opening and has a radially inwardly directed catching surface. The disc is movable between a closed position and an open position. When the sealing disc is at the closed position, the catching surface is positioned radially outwardly from the catch surface in radial alignment with the catch surface so that, if the catching surface were forced radially inwardly, the catch surface would engage with the catching surface to prevent the catching surface from passing axially outwardly through the opening.
Device for packaging and dispensing a product in an airless manner, notably in several phases, associated purge ring and method
This device comprises: a container defining an inner volume intended to contain the product closed off by a movable bottom and opening out through a dispensing neck; a dispensing member; a purge ring comprising a base that delimits a central orifice defining a central axis of the ring, the base having an outer contour and a side surface converging from the outer contour toward a second end of the central orifice. The device is characterized in that the purge ring comprises at least one radial opening arranged radially relative to the central axis and allowing the passage of the product from the container toward the central orifice.
DISPENSERS
A dispenser has a plunger (3) operable in a pump body (4). The plunger can be locked up or locked down, and formations (88,89) of a pump plunger stem and pump body insert (6) for achieving this are described. Components of the dispenser, including a pump body cylinder/closure component (5), container neck and a pump body insert (6), are rotationally locked together with non-selective alignment and sealed by sliding-fit seals to prevent damage or leakage caused by relative turning of the components in transit.
SYSTEM FOR DISPENSING FLUIDS OR MIXTURES AND DEVICE USED IN SAID SYSTEM
