Fluid dispenser having a one-way valve, pump, variable-volume storage chamber, and a needle penetrable and laser resealable portion
A dispenser for dispensing a fluid includes a rigid vial that has a main fluid chamber containing a fluid, and a pump assembly that is in fluid communication with the main fluid chamber and is configured to dispense a predetermined quantity of fluid from the main fluid chamber. A flexible bladder is provided which is located within the main fluid chamber and is configured to expand to fill the ullage created within the main fluid chamber during dispensing of fluid by the pump assembly. The resilient bladder tends to force itself outwardly toward the rigid vial and, in turn, increases the pressure within the main fluid chamber in comparison to the interior of the bladder to thereby prevent the ingress of air or vapors through the bladder or otherwise into the main fluid chamber.

Liquid pump
Disclosed is a liquid pump (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900), including a movable unit and a fixed unit. The movable unit is capable of moving relative to the fixed unit so as to pump a product out. An elastic mechanism (130, 230, 330, 430, 530, 630, 730, 820, 930) is provided between the movable unit and the fixed unit, and the elastic mechanism (130, 230, 330, 430, 530, 630, 730, 820, 930) comprises at least one elastic strip (131, 231, 331, 431, 531, 631, 731, 821, 931). The elastic strip (131, 231, 331, 431, 531, 631, 731, 821, 931) applies a biasing force to the movable unit to restore the movable unit after the product is pumped. The liquid pump (100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900) further comprises an elastic mechanism adjusting member movable between a first position in which the elastic strip (131, 231, 331, 431, 531, 631, 731, 821, 931) of the elastic mechanism (130, 230, 330, 430, 530, 630, 730, 820, 930) is in a relaxed state, and a second position in which the elastic strip (131, 231, 331, 431, 531, 631, 731, 821, 931) of the elastic mechanism (130, 230, 330, 430, 530, 630, 730, 820, 930) is in a preloaded state. Systems and Methods to Precisely Control Output Pressure in Buffered Sprayers (DuO1)
In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, various novel dispensing devices can be provided. Such devices can involve a range of sprayer heads and sprayer/foamer systems incorporating such heads. Novel sprayer/foamer heads can include buffers of various types. By using a buffer, a user need not continually be pumping the device in order for the device to be spraying or foaming. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such a buffer can be spring loaded, spring loaded combination, elastomeric or gas. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the buffer can be in line or adjacent to a piston chamber. If adjacent, it can be connected to the piston chamber with a one way valve, to provide for spray after a downstroke of the piston has been completed, or without, to allow spraying to cease once a user releases the trigger or other actuator. In exemplary embodiments of the present invention, such novel sprayers and foamers can be mounted upside down, in various “Flairomop” devices, used to clean floors or the like. When using a buffer, a piston chamber can be designed to deliver greater amount of liquid per unit time than can be possibly dispensed through the nozzle or nozzles. The fraction of liquid that cannot be sent through the nozzle(s), due to their inherent restriction, can thus be sent to the buffer for dispensing after the piston downstroke has been completed. A volume of the piston chamber, a volume of the buffer, a pressure response of the buffer, the throughput of the nozzle, and the minimum opening pressure of the outlet valve can be arranged to restrict the outlet pressures of liquid droplets exiting the nozzle within a defined range.
