INTEGRATED ACOUSTIC TRANSDUCER WITH REDUCED PROPAGATION OF UNDESIRED ACOUSTIC WAVES
An acoustic device includes a micro-machined acoustic transducer element, an acoustically attenuating region, and an acoustic matching region arranged between the acoustic transducer element and the acoustically attenuating region. The acoustic transducer element is formed in a first substrate housing a cavity delimiting a membrane. A second substrate of semiconductor material integrating an electronic circuit is arranged between the acoustic transducer element and the acoustically attenuating region. The acoustic matching region has a first interface with the second substrate and a second interface with the acoustically attenuating region. The acoustic matching region has an impedance matched to the impedance of the second substrate in proximity of the first interface, and an impedance matched to the acoustically attenuating region in proximity of the second interface.

An imaging catheter assembly is provided. The imaging catheter assembly includes an interposer including a multi-layered substrate structure, wherein the multi-layered substrate structure includes a first plurality of conductive contact pads coupled to a second plurality of conductive contact pads via a plurality of conductive lines; an imaging component coupled to the interposer via the first plurality of conductive contact pads; and an electrical cable coupled to the interposer via the second plurality of conductive contact pads and in communication with the imaging component.
Ultrasound transducer
The present disclosure relates to an ultrasound transducer having at least one transducer element for sending or receiving ultrasound signals. The ultrasound transducer includes a matching element acoustically coupled to the transducer element that is designed to ensure acoustic matching between the transducer element and a medium that acts on the matching element. In a first subregion of the axial extent, the matching element partially fills each cross section of the matching element, and a filling component in the first subregion along the first longitudinal axis monotonically increases in the direction of the first side. The matching element has a plurality of ring elements in the first subregion arranged concentrically around the first longitudinal axis. Each ring element partially fills each cross section in the first subregion, wherein the first subregion comprises at least 80% of an axial extent of the matching element along the first longitudinal axis.

An ultrasonic transducer and an ultrasonic probe including the same are provided. The ultrasonic transducer includes a piezoelectric layer configured to convert an electric signal and an ultrasound into each other, and a dematching layer having a uniform thickness, the dematching layer being arranged on a partial region of the piezoelectric layer and configured to reflect the second ultrasound wave that is incident on the dematching layer.

An acoustic matching layer is formed on individual ultrasonic transducer elements on a base. Electric conductors are arranged between adjacent ultrasonic transducer elements, the electric conductors being connected to electrodes of the ultrasonic transducer elements. Protective films overlap the electric conductors. The protective films have smaller moisture permeability than the acoustic matching layer. Wall portions are arranged on the protective films, the wall portions separating portions of the acoustic matching layer that are respectively located on adjacent ultrasonic transducer elements from each other at least in a part of a height range with respect to a height direction from the base, and having an acoustic impedance that is different from the acoustic impedance of the acoustic matching layer.
Ultrasonic imaging device with programmable anatomy and flow imaging
An imaging device includes a transducer that includes an array of piezoelectric elements formed on a substrate. Each piezoelectric element includes at least one membrane suspended from the substrate, at least one bottom electrode disposed on the membrane, at least one piezoelectric layer disposed on the bottom electrode, and at least one top electrode disposed on the at least one piezoelectric layer. Adjacent piezoelectric elements are configured to be isolated acoustically from each other. The device is utilized to measure flow or flow along with imaging anatomy.

Presented is a wireless portable ultrasound acquisition system for dental imaging, having an ultrasound probe with a control switch connected through a cable to a portable ultrasound acquisition system that communicates wirelessly with a smart tablet or a phone display to display the ultrasound images. The system uses ultrasound signals to create images of alveolar bone structure and boundaries of enamel, dentin and gingiva of a patient.
