Method of unclogging ducts in parts obtained by additive manufacturing
A method of unclogging ducts in a part made by additive manufacturing, the ducts running from at least one well that opens out into the surface of the part, the method comprising the steps of: fabricating a guide with a body that is designed to fit in the well, the guide having internal channels that extend from a base of the guide that is accessible by a user to an outside wall of the body; cleaning the well and inserting the body of the guide in the well so that channels in the guide open out in register with inlets of ducts that are to be unclogged; and inserting a thin flexible tool, e.g. a metal cable, through the base of the guide into at least one channel therein and causing the tool to penetrate into the duct in register in the part so as to unclog it.
SHEATHED FLEXIBLE SHAFT DRAIN CLEANER
A drain cleaner is disclosed having a housing with an interior region for storing a flexible drain cleaning cable. The drain cleaning cable can be extended from the drain cleaner and includes a rotatable member within a non-rotating sheath. The drain cleaner includes an engageable drive shaft coupled to the rotatable member. In certain versions, the drive shaft is coupled to the rotatable member through a torque limiting device such as a clutch. Upon engagement of the drive shaft with a rotary power source, a rotating distal end of the flexible cable can be used to dislodge obstructions in pipes. The interior region of the drain cleaner is configured to promote efficient coiling of the drain cleaning cable. The drain cleaner includes additional features for reducing wear of cable and components, and securely retaining the cable to the drain cleaner.
DRAIN AUGER
The present disclosure provides a drain auger than includes a drum with an accessory attachment. A pole attachment is coupled to the drum. A cable is extendable and retractable relative to the drum. An actuator is operatively coupled to the cable and a motor is operably coupled to the actuator. A mode selector is coupled to the drum and includes an auto-feed mode. The auto-feed mode is configured to selectively and automatically extend and retract the cable relative to the drum in response to actuation of the actuator.
CLEANING DEVICE
A cleaning device for cleaning an inner surface of a pipe. The cleaning device has first and second bodies each having a connector for connecting a drive shaft and being rotatable about a rotation axis with the drive shaft. The cleaning device also has multiple link connections defined in said first body and in said second body and multiple chains of links extending between the link connections of said bodies. The links consist of a helically wound metal wire for detachably connecting the links to each other and/or to the link connections. At least a part of said links has a tip of the helically wound metal wire bent radially outwardly from said helical winding for cleaning the inner surface of the pipe when the first body and the second body are rotated with the drive shaft.
Multi-Bar Scraper for Cleaning Marine Risers and Wellbores
An instrument for the mechanical removal of corrosive buildup, deposits or scale from within a wellbore. A tubing-conveyed scraping blade and/or other abrading devices (50) has a collapsible maximum outer diameter by using a multi-bar mechanism (53, 54) to ensure physical contact with corrosive buildup, deposits or scale on surfaces of a surrounding wellbore, oil and gas tubular, or drilling/production marine riser (and, in particular, inner surfaces thereof). The multi-bar mechanism allows for a wide range of motion irrespective of the direction of loading and variable maximum outer diameter to clean corrosive buildup, deposits or scale from tubular goods with unknown configurations and/or dimensions.
DRAIN CLEANING DEVICE
A drain cleaning device including a drum, a cable positioned within the drum, a motor coupled to the drum to rotate the drum, a cable feed device operable to extend the cable out of the drum and retract the cable into the drum, a sensor operable to detect a performance characteristic of the drain cleaning device, and a controller coupled to the sensor and to the motor, the cable feed device, or both. The controller is configured to receive a signal from the sensor indicative of the performance characteristic of the drain cleaning device, and send an instruction to the motor, the cable feed device, or both to change an operating parameter of the motor, the cable feed device, or both based on the signal received from the sensor.
Gun Cleaning Kit
A gun cleaning kit comprising a handle, an elongate rod, a cylindrical brush comprising radially outwardly projecting metal bristles and a cylindrical wiping element, wherein the handle defines a first part of a two-part coupling and a first end of the rod defines a second part of the two-part coupling such that the handle is capable of being detachably coupled to the first end of the rod via the first two-part coupling; a second end of the rod defines a first part of a second two-part coupling; and each of the cylindrical brush and cylindrical wiping element defines a second part of the second two-part coupling, such that the cylindrical brush and the cylindrical wiping element are each separately capable of being detachably coupled to the second end of the rod via the second two-part coupling.
Drain Cleaning Device Used With A Chemical Cleaning Fluid
A drain cleaning device for removing debris from a drain is disclosed herein. The drain cleaning device includes a fluid container section with a fluid reservoir for holding a chemical cleaning fluid therein; an elongated rod section having a first end being connected to the fluid container section, the elongated rod section defining a fluid passageway configured to be fluidly coupled to the fluid reservoir of the fluid container section for conveying the chemical cleaning fluid; and a tip section connected to a second end of the elongated rod section, the tip section including a central core portion and a plurality of protruding elements, the tip section further including a fluid aperture fluidly coupled to the fluid passageway of the elongated rod section so as to enable the chemical cleaning fluid to be discharged from the fluid aperture of the tip section to a drain pipe.
Apparatus and Method to Maintain Flow Through and Prevent Clogging of a Feeding Tube
A cleaning apparatus for an internal bore formed in a feeding tube has a shaft with a distal end and an opposing proximal end. The distal end terminates at a blunt tip and the proximal end terminates at a cap. The shaft has a length such that when inserted into the feeding tube, the cap aligns with a proximal end of the feeding tube and the blunt tip extends only partway out of a distal end of the feeding tube. At least one disc is mounted on the shaft adjacent the blunt tip. Each disc has a diameter equal to or greater than said first diameter of the internal bore so that tip portions of the disc deflect and travel along the internal bore of the feeding tube providing a squeegee-like cleaning action.
Spring assemblies with variable flexibility for use with push-cables and pipe inspection systems
Push-cables and associated apparatus and systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a push-cable assembly for use with a pipe inspection system may include a push-cable element having a proximal end and a distal end, with a spring assembly having varying flexibility coupled to or near the distal end. The spring assembly may include an outer coiled spring having a proximal and a distal end, and an inner coiled spring nested at least partially within the outer coiled spring. A camera head and/or other elements such as a cutting or jetting apparatus may be coupled at or near the distal end.
