A top portion extends from an upper end of a handle. The top portion is curved from the front to the back. A clearance is located between the back side of the razor head and the front of the top portion of the holder. The clearance between the back side of the razor head and the front of the top portion is changed by means of a pivoting mechanism such that, when the razor head is at the neutral position, the clearance at a position separated from the cutting edge is greater than the clearance at a position in the vicinity of the cutting edge. When the razor head is moved from the neutral position to a specified movement position, the clearance at the position separated from the cutting edge is less than the clearance at a position in the vicinity of the cutting edge.

Razor cartridge with reduced part count and expanded range of motion

A shaving razor having a cartridge containing a razor blade coupled to a monolithic yoke. The yoke is formed from a single piece of material possibly by injection molding. The yoke has a bridge and a pair of cross pieces each coupled to the bridge by a living hinge. The cartridge is coupled to the cross pieces and spans between the cross pieces.

SHAVING RAZOR TRAY

A tray is disclosed for securely holding a shaving razor and a shaving cartridge magazine when not in use.

SHAVING RAZOR ACCESSORY

Shaving razors and cartridges are featured which include one or more removably attachable shaving aid accessories.

RAZOR WITH HANDLE HAVING ARTICULABLE JOINT
20170282392 · 2017-10-05 ·

A razor has a handle with an articulable joint intermediate the cutting blade and the portion of the handle grasped by a user. The joint is made of resilient elastomeric memory material so that the head of the razor may be moved from an initial position to a displaced position and back to the initial position. The joint has at least one undercut to reduce its thickness and facilitate the moving of the head.

Shaving Device

A shaving device comprising a head assembly including a support member having at least one support member magnet and a blade cartridge having at least one face with at least one razor blade and configured to be rotatably coupled to the support member about a pivot axis. The blade cartridge includes at least one blade cartridge magnet having a pole aligned with a pole of the support member magnet to generate a magnetic force that urges the blade cartridge about the pivot axis towards an initial starting position (ISP), wherein the blade cartridge is further configured to rotate about the pivot axis away from the ISP upon application of an external force sufficient to overcome the magnetic force between the support member magnet and the blade cartridge magnet.

Ultraviolet Razor Blade Treatment

An ultraviolet razor blade treatment system for providing a cleaning treatment to a shaving razor is disclosed. The ultraviolet razor blade treatment system can include a shaving razor cleaning unit that has at least one ultraviolet radiation source and sensor to clean surfaces of the shaving razor for purposes of disinfection, sterilization, and/or sanitization.

RAZOR HANDLE WITH A ROTATABLE PORTION

A handle for a shaving razor with a frame and a pod operably coupled to the frame such that the pod is configured to rotate about a first axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the frame. The pod has a base and a retention system which applies a resistance torque upon the pod when the pod is rotated from an at rest position about said first axis of rotation. The retention system has a static stiffness of about 0.7 Nmm/deg to about 2.25 Nmm/deg as determined by at least one of a Static Stiffness Test, and a damping of from about 0.03 N*mm*sec/degree to about 0.30 N*mm*sec/degree as determined by a Pendulum Test Method.

Shaving System

The invention relates to a shaving system comprising a razor with at least one razor handle with a razor head connected to it, including at least one sensor for retrieving data on the shaving behaviour of the user, and at least one power source, and including a movement sensor and a method of interpreting movement of the razor and a wireless transmitter which wirelessly transmits the sensed data to a processor. The sensor may be mounted on the handle of the razor or the razor head and includes an accelerometer to detect movement of the wet-shave razor.

Rotating type razor

Disclosed is a razor and, more particularly, a rotating type razor having a cartridge which is replaceable, rotatable and controllable in angle. To this end, the rotating type razor, which includes a handle provided at one side thereof, a head provided at the other side thereof, and a razor blade cartridge connected to the head, further includes a mover configured to rotate the razor blade cartridge. The razor blade cartridge is rotated by 180 degrees about the head as a rotation axis by the mover so as to be variable in position when shaving the upper jaw and when shaving the lower jaw in a state in which a body of the razor has a fixed orientation.
