CUTTER ASSEMBLY AND PRINTER
A cutter assembly for a printer includes a cutter module including a rotary cutting blade and a gear associated with the rotary cutting blade, wherein rotation of the gear is transmitted to the rotary cutting blade to drive the rotary cutting blade, a toothed belt extending along a cutting direction and arranged to engage with the gear; and a support component extending along the cutting direction and comprising a ledge to support and guide the toothed belt.
Media cutting device and method with contact-free coupling of upper and lower members
A cutting device comprises an upper support and a lower support arranged above and below a media plane, and a contact-free coupling device to engage and disengage the upper support and the lower support, wherein one of the upper support and the lower support is a master support and the other one of the upper and lower supports is a slave support, and further comprises a master cutting blade arranged in the master support, wherein when the upper and lower supports are engaged, the slave support follows movement of the master support.
APPARATUS FOR MAKING A MULTIPLICITY OF PACKAGES
An apparatus for making a multiplicity of packages including a feeding station, a separation station which is arranged downstream of the feeding station, a single feeding track which carries at least one multiplicity of multiple sheets from the feeding station to the separation station, at least two exit tracks which are arranged downstream of the separation station. Each multiple sheet of the multiplicity of multiple sheets includes at least two portions of sheet lying on a same geometric plane. Each portion of sheet is a single sheet of the package in a flat configuration. Each package of the multiplicity of packages includes at least one product and the single sheet of the package adapted to pass from a flat configuration to a configuration coupled with the at least one product.
UPPER BLADE ROLLER, SLITTING DEVICE, SLITTING METHOD, AND LAMINATED TAPE
A laminated film including an adhesive layer peelably laminated on a base film is shear cut using an upper roller including specific upper blades arranged at a pitch of 0.5 mm or less for slitting. The upper blade includes one side surface constituting a blade edge being a flat surface and the other side surface having a first ridge and a second ridge from the blade edge aide. A laminated tape including an adhesive layer peelably laminated on a base film is slit by slitting using this upper blade to a tape width of 0.5 mm or less without the base film and the adhesive layer peeling apart and with suppressed protrusion of the adhesive layer in the slit tape.
APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY, ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY MANUFACTURED THERETHROUGH, AND SECONDARY BATTERY
Discussed is an apparatus for manufacturing an electrode for a secondary battery, an electrode for a secondary battery which is manufactured therethrough, and a secondary battery. The apparatus notches a portion of a non-coating portion of an electrode collector, which is not coated with an electrode active material, in an electrode sheet coated with the electrode active material on the electrode collector to manufacture an electrode tab. The apparatus includes a notching roll that rotates to notch the portion of the non-coating portion, wherein the notching roll includes: a notching cutter provided on a portion of the notching roll, which faces the non-coating portion to notch the electrode sheet; and a roll pad provided on a portion of the notching roll, which faces the electrode active material, the roll pad contacting the electrode sheet when the notching roll rotates to prevent the electrode sheet from being slipped.
Dual box slotter
Arrangement for cutting notches in box blanks fed along a feeding direction. A feeding portion feeds box blanks. At least a first-fourth cutting devices along the feeding direction. The first is arranged most upstream and the fourth is arranged most downstream. Each device includes: a first wheel rotating around a first axis transverse to the feeding direction, the first wheel being on a first side of the blanks; a second wheel rotating around a second axis extending transverse to the feeding direction parallel to the first axis, the second wheel being in the same plane as the first wheel on an opposite side of the blank; and a cutting element cutting notches. The cutting element extends from either the first or the second wheel towards the other. A control unit controls the operation of the first-fourth devices for different operation combinations.
Device for Determining and Storing Eccentricity of Customer Roll Within a Slitter winder and Using for Unwinding Control
A measuring device is releasably received within a winding core of a customer roll wound on a slitter-winder (10). The measuring device (20) is releasably fastened within the winding core by fastening element(s) (21) securing the device to the winding core (10) for rotation during winding of the fiber web around the winding core to form the customer roll. Eccentricity of the customer roll as it is wound is determined from movement, speed and/or acceleration data received from at least two sensors of the measuring device and data is stored for use in unwinding the fiber web from the customer roll and serving as control information. Tension variations in unwinding can thus be anticipated and premeditative steps taken to ensure smooth running of the fiber web in unwinding in further processing.
Printing apparatus and conveyance apparatus
To provide a printing apparatus and a conveyance apparatus that are capable of preventing a cut position to be cut by a slitter (cutting unit) from deviating, a printing apparatus, which is configured to perform printing by use of a printing unit on a printing medium conveyed by a conveyance unit and is configured to cut the printing medium on which the printing has been performed by the printing unit by use of a cutting unit at a cut position along a conveyance direction of the conveyance unit, includes an abutment portion configured to abut on a printing surface of the printing medium at an inner position relative to the cut position in a width direction of the printing medium, the width direction that crosses the conveyance direction.
DEVICE FOR CUTTING DIAGNOSTIC REAGENT PAPER INTO STRIP
The present invention is configured such that a guide bar for supporting a diagnostic reagent paper includes a groove and the groove prevents the diagnostic reagent paper from being supported by a guide member in a section where knives using a shear force cut the diagnostic reagent paper, whereby a pressed line generated when the guide member presses the diagnostic reagent paper due to a cutting force by the knives is prevented from being formed on a strip so as to eliminate defects of the strip. In particular, the present invention is configured such that the guide member is installed to be disposed to pass through a space between a first shaft and a second shaft, each formed by repeatedly arranging two knives facing each other and one space, so as to guide the diagnostic reagent paper, whereby a section through which the diagnostic reagent paper passes has a substantially rectangular shape. Therefore, not only can the diagnostic reagent paper cut into strips accurately by a blade, but also the cut strips have no defects such as bending, entangling, or twisting.
