METHOD FOR PLACING A SELF-SEALING PRODUCT ON THE INNER SURFACE OF A TIRE
The process includes a non-crosslinked self-sealing composition which is introduced into an extrusion means, the geometric and thermodynamic characteristics of which have been specially adapted. The speed and temperature conditions of the extrusion means are adjusted so that, at an application nozzle forming the outlet die of the extrusion means, the self-sealing composition is crosslinked. The application nozzle is brought close to the internal surface of the casing previously set in relative motion with respect to the application nozzle, and an extruded and crosslinked bead that has a given width and profile is deposited directly on the internal surface of the casing.
Method of devulcanizing vulcanized rubber
A method of devulcanizing vulcanized rubber is described. The method includes steps of: (a) providing at least one vulcanized rubber composition; (b) grinding the vulcanized rubber into chips or pellets; (c) mixing the ground rubber obtained from step (b) in such a way as to homogenize the form and temperature of same; (d) carrying out a non-degrading mechanical treatment on the mixed rubber at the end of step (c) to obtain a polymeric composite. Also described is a thermoplastic material and an elastomeric mixture which comprise, in the formulation of same, at least one polymeric composite obtained by this method of devulcanization.
REMOVABLE EXTRUDER ADAPTER FOR IMPROVED FEED
Methods for altering feed throat passageway size, shape and position in a pellet fed extruder by means of a removable adapter are disclosed. Adapters chosen for optimal extrusion performance may be removed with little effort in a shorter time and may be more cost effective than other methods for optimization of extrusion including replacing the screw or by replacing the feed throat through purchase of a different extruder.
BIODEGRADABLE LAMINATE
A method may produce a biodegradable laminate, including: laminating an aliphatic polyester-based resin layer and a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer with a bonding layer between the aliphatic polyester-based resin layer and the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer. The biodegradable laminate may include: the aliphatic polyester-based resin layer comprising an aliphatic polyester-based resin composition; the bonding layer comprising an adhesive resin; and the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin layer comprising a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin. The aliphatic polyester-based resin composition may include an aliphatic polyester-based resin, a polyhydroxyalkanoate including a 3-hydroxybutyrate unit as a main constituent unit, and an inorganic filler. The aliphatic polyester-based resin may include, in polymerized form, an aliphatic diol and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, as main constituent units, and a trifunctional or higher-functional aliphatic polyol, a trifunctional or higher-functional aliphatic polyvalent carboxylic acid, an acid anhydride thereof, or a trifunctional or higher-functional aliphatic polyvalent oxycarboxylic acid component.
