EVERTING TRANSCATHETER VALVE AND METHODS
20220023032 · 2022-01-27 ·

Described embodiments are directed toward centrally-opening, leaflet valve devices and systems for transcatheter delivery having a two-piece valve body as well as methods of making and delivering the two-piece valve devices. A transcatheter valve includes a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The transcatheter valve can further include an everted configuration and a non-everted configuration.

Methods and systems are disclosed for manufacturing or reinforcing of any length, shape, size, and any thickness pipe with a plurality of layers comprising at least a first reinforcement sheet, a pre-designed and localized resin-fortified Core, and a second reinforcement sheet. The Core includes A-regions which are designed to absorb less resin, and B-regions which are designed to absorb more resin. For reinforcing a pipe, a first reinforcement sheet is placed over the inside and/or the outside surface of the pipe. A pre-designed and localized resin-fortified Core is placed over and adhered to the first reinforcement sheet. Subsequently a second reinforcement sheet is placed over the surface of the Core, such that the Core stays between the first and the second reinforcement sheet. Next, the resin-saturated sheets and Core are cureddepending on the type of resinby partial or complete exposure to ambient temperature, to heat, or to light.

A method can comprise: positioning a prosthetic heart valve in a collapsed configuration at an implantation site. In some examples, the prosthetic heart valve can comprise: a multi-part frame having a body frame and a leaflet frame, and at least one leaflet coupled to the multi-part frame. In some examples, the prosthetic heart valve can be expandable between the collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. The method can further comprise expanding the prosthetic heart valve to the expanded configuration at the implantation site, transitioning the multi-part frame of the prosthetic heart valve from a non-everted configuration to an everted configuration, and securing the prosthetic heart valve at the implantation site.
