Electric welding coupler for the welding of pipes made of thermoplastic material or other weldable plastics comprising a cylindrical body made of thermoplastic material or other weldable plastics, containing at least one welding element, wherein the welding element is arranged close to the inner diameter of the cylindrical body, wherein the welding element forms at least two welding zones, a contact for feeding the electric current and at least one cavity, wherein the cavity is arranged in the cylindrical body, wherein a reinforcing ring is arranged around the outer circumference respectively outer diameter of the cylindrical body.

Electrofusion joint

An electrofusion joint includes a main body and a heating wire. The main body is configured to be connected to a resin pipe containing a thermoplastic resin. The heating wire is in the main body. The heating wire includes a conducting wire and an insulating cover film that is around the conducting wire. The insulating cover film has a melting point of at least 230 degrees.

Apparatus for construction of safety mats

An array of resilient floor tiles is assembled into a continuous sheet after being laid down. An array of included, sacrificial resistive wires is buried along the edges of the tiles and is controllably heated in order to cause welding of the edges of tiles across the paths of the wires to neighboring tiles. Subsequently the wires may be used to give the array integral tensile strength. The welded array is provided with greater strength for resisting use, expansive and contractile forces caused by environmental heat and cold and also long-term tile contraction owing to loss of plasticizer as may be seen with PVC-based tiles.

INTERNAL CONDUCTIVE ELEMENT FOR BONDING STRUCTURAL ENTITIES

An apparatus (100) comprising: first and second structural parts (102, 104) that are formed of a rigid material or a semi-rigid material; and a bond comprising a first adhesive (304) and at least one conductive member (502) disposed in a bonding area (306) between the first and second structural parts so as to securely couple the first and second structural parts together. The cure time of the first adhesive is decreased and a strength of the bond is increased during a bonding process by increasing a temperature of the first adhesive using the conductive member having electricity traveling therethrough.
