Method for joining a sealing seam of a tubular bag packaging by means of an ultrasound applicator and longitudinal seal joining device for use with said method
The invention relates to a method for joining a sealing seam of a tubular bag packaging by means of an ultrasonic applicator (10), characterized in that said ultrasonic applicator (10) generates ultrasonic waves at a frequency of between 0.1 MHz and 5 MHz, preferably between 0.5 MHz and 2 MHz. The invention also relates to a longitudinal seal joining device of a tubular bag machine for use with said claimed method.
Ovenable heat-sealed package
A package comprises a heat seal between a first film and a second film. The first film comprises at least 70% of one or more polyamides. The first film also comprises at least one modified layer comprising (1) at least 70% of one or more polyamides and (2) one or more modifiers selected from ethylene/alkyl(meth)acrylate copolymers, ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid copolymers, and ionomers. The second film comprises at least 70%) of one or more polyamides. The package is useful under ovenable conditions.
Method for manufacturing a fuel tank and fuel tank
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a fuel tank on the basis of thermoplastic material, the method comprising the following method steps: producing semifinished products in sheet form from a fiber composite material with a matrix of thermoplastic material, laminating the semifinished products with a laminate that comprises at least one barrier layer for hydrocarbons, heat-treating the laminated semifinished products until the thermoplastic material plasticizes, thermoforming the plasticized semifinished products in a thermoforming mold to form shells and joining the shells to form an essentially closed tank.
Catheters with lubricious linings and methods for making and using them
Apparatus and methods are provided for creating tubular devices, e.g., as components for catheters, sheaths, and or other devices sized for introduction into a patient. In one embodiment, a method is provided for making a tubular device using a sheet of material including a coated first surface. The sheet is rolled around a mandrel until longitudinal edges of the sheet are disposed near or adjacent one another, e.g., without attaching the longitudinal edges together. A tubular braid is positioned over the sheet-wrapped mandrel, one or more tubular segments are positioned over the tubular braid, and heat shrink tubing is positioned over the tubular segments. The resulting assembly is heated to cause the tubular segments to at least partially reflow and/or otherwise laminate the tubular segments to the tubular braid and sheet. The heat shrink tubing and mandrel are then removed to create the tubular device.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A profile body of a not liquefiable material is used as a connecting element between a first object and a second object. The profile body may especially be metallic and/or may be bendable. The profile body, in contrast to a conventional wire, however, has a shape defining a first and a second undercut. The method includes embedding the profile body in the second object so that the second undercut is within material of the second object, and embedding the profile body within material of the first object so that the first undercut is within the first object, and wherein at least embedding of the profile body in the first object is caused by mechanical energy impinging on the first object and/or on the second object while the first object and the second object are pressed against each other.
Method for producing a cup
A method for producing a cup from a flat segment and a pot-like base, including the steps of winding the flat segment onto a winding mandrel, so that there is an overlap in the region of the side edges of the segment, connecting the sections, which adjoin the side edges, in the region of the overlap, so that a conical sleeve is produced, inserting the pot-like base into the conical sleeve, and connecting a circumferential wall of the pot-like base in a substantially liquid-tight manner to an inner face of the sleeve.
Method for producing a transverse sealing seam and transverse sealing device
The invention relates to a method for producing a transverse sealing seam in a tubular bag (6) having a longitudinal sealing seam (5), wherein the tubular bag (6) is passed through between a sonotrode (1) and an anvil (2) and, in order to produce the transverse sealing seam, the sonotrode (1) and the anvil (2) are moved toward each other so that a welding force is applied to the tubular bag (6). In order to provide a method and transverse sealing device with which the stated disadvantages can be overcome at least reduced, the longitudinal sealing seam (5) is moved through a gap (8, 7) formed in the sonotrode (1) or the counter tool (2) at least during the application of the welding force.
BONDING OBJECTS TOGETHER
A method of bonding together a first object and a second object having a flat part and an opening defining a contour is provided. The second object has a fastening portion having a coupling structure defining an undercut and running around a periphery of the opening. The method includes positioning the first object relative to the second object in the opening, and providing a thermoplastic material along the contour, causing a relative force between the second and first objects and impinging the assembly of the first and second object with mechanical vibration until at least a flow portion of the thermoplastic material becomes flowable and flows into the coupling structure, and causing the thermoplastic material to re-solidify.
PORTABLE TABLE TOP WELDER
A portable table top welder for welding plastic material webs, the portable table top welder including a frame including a carrier housing and a support arm at which a welding device is arranged; at least one transport roller including a rotatable transport roller axle and at least one contact pressure roller that is rotatably supported at the carrier housing, wherein a weight is arranged at an eccentrical element which is rotatably connected at one side by a concentrically supported eccentrical element axle at the carrier housing and rotatably connected at another side by an eccentrically supported contact pressure roller axle at the contact pressure roller. The table top welder handles and transports easily and can be mounted on a table or on another carrier structure in a disengageable manner.
Plastic Bags
Methods of sealing a woven laminated plastic bag are provided that result in no adhesive-to-adhesive contact. In various aspects the bag can be fabricated from woven polypropylene and/or polyethylene layer which can be laminated with a film layer, can form a pinch bottom bag, and can have one or both sides include graphics and/or printing. The bag can also provide a top end and/or a bottom end either or both of which provide a discrete area which may contain discrete graphics and/or printing.
