The second step includes: a first parallel winding treatment where the reinforcing belt is wound one turn on a first circumference; a spiral winding treatment where the reinforcing belt is spirally wound in a tire width direction; and a second parallel winding treatment where the reinforcing belt is wound on a second circumference within a range of from 24030 with one turn set to 360.

A method for checking a continuous elongated element during the building of a tyre for vehicle wheels. A beam of an electromagnetic radiation is projected on a section of the continuous elongated element dispensed by a dispensing head and interposed between the dispensing head and a first contact area of the continuous elongated element with a radially outer surface of a tyre being processed. An image of a radiation reflected by the section is acquired. A first parameter related to the image is detected, and the first parameter is compared with a second reference parameter.
Pneumatic tire and process for producing the same
A pneumatic tire includes film layers of thermoplastic resin or thermoplastic elastomer composition made by blending an elastomer with the thermoplastic resin, which are superposed by winding the film layer in the circumferential direction of the tire multiple times, a thickness of the film layer is in a range of 0.02 mm to 0.2 mm and a thickness of the rubber layer is in a range of 0.1 mm to 1.2 mm, and the tire wherein a rubber film is interposed between the film layers. The pneumatic tire is produced by preparing a laminated body in which the rubber layer is stuck to at least one surface of the film layer; interposing the rubber layer between the film layers by winding the laminated body in the circumferential direction of the tire multiple times; forming an uncured tire which includes the film layers and the rubber layers; and curing the tire.
Device for bonding rubber strip
A rubber strip is bonded with high accuracy to the surface of a non-linear cylinder-like wound body. The space occupied by the device is reduced. Provided is a transporting conveyor having a transporting belt guided rotatably by guiding rollers. A transporting surface of the transporting belt is provided with a transporting surface width centerline extending in a straight line over the entire length thereof. The guiding rollers are distributed into forward-side guiding rollers and backward-side guiding rollers in the transporting direction. Since the forward-side guiding roller is held tiltibly around the transporting surface width centerline, the transporting surface forms a twistable twisting transporting surface portion between a forward-side transporting surface portion supported by the forward-side guiding roller and a forward-side transporting surface portion supported by the backward-side guiding roller.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FORMING RUBBER REINFORCED COMPONENT
An apparatus and method for forming a reinforced rubber component is described. The apparatus includes a support frame; a rotatable drum mounted upon the support frame; a rubber strip forming apparatus mounted in close proximity to the rotatable drum for applying a rubber strip onto the rotatable drum; and a reinforcement applier apparatus for applying a reinforcement onto the rotatable drum. The method includes the steps of: providing a rotatable drum; applying a rubber strip onto the rotatable drum to form a first rubber layer in a first direction; applying a reinforcement over the first rubber layer in a second direction opposite the first direction to form a first reinforcement layer; applying a rubber strip over the first reinforcement layer.
Strip, method for manufacturing the same, and method for manufacturing pneumatic tire
A strip of a thermoplastic elastomer to be wound spirally on a cylindrical drum for forming an inner liner for a tire having a shape close to a finished sectional shape is provided. The strip is formed of composite layers of (A) a first layer made of a styrene-isobutylene-styrene triblock copolymer and (B) a second layer containing at least one of a styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymer and a styrene-isobutylene diblock copolymer. The strip further has a strip main body and ear portions arranged on opposite sides thereof. The strip main body has a thickness (T1) of 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm. The ear portions have a thickness (T2) thinner than the thickness (T1) of the strip main body and a width (W2) of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm. This ribbon-shaped strip reduces unevenness of the surface of a sheet formed by the opposite ends of the strip when manufacturing an inner liner.

A method and equipment for controlling a manufacturing process of a component of a tire for vehicle wheels, wherein at least one continuous elongated element fed by a supplying member is placed on a forming support by means of at least one pressing member active on the at least continuous elongated element along an application direction. During the manufacturing of the component of the tire, at successive sampling times T.sub.i, the value P.sub.i of a quantity indicative of the position of the pressing member is acquired along the application direction, where i is an integer greater than or equal to 1, T.sub.i=i*1/f, and f is the sampling frequency.

A method of manufacturing a pneumatic tire includes forming a green tire. The installation is intended for the manufacture of tires, and includes a work area with a drum, a magazine provided with a support carrying a plurality of laying tools, and a manipulator robot. The manipulator robot is arranged to selectively grasp a laying tool waiting in the magazine and bring the laying tool to the drum and then return the laying tool to the magazine and detach itself from said laying tool. Several of the laying tools are each carried by an articulated compass. The compass includes a barrel that is attached to the support and orientable in yaw, a first arm which is attached to the barrel by a first pivot connection of horizontal axis, and a second arm. The second arm is articulated on the first arm by a second pivot connection of horizontal axis and whose free end is attached to the laying tool.
