A tire includes: a bead core; a bead filler which extends to an outer side in the tire-radial direction of the bead core; a carcass ply which extends from the bead core to another bead core, and folded back around the bead core; and a rubber sheet which covers a folding end of the carcass ply folded back, in which an electronic component is provided between the bead filler and the rubber sheet.

A press-up member presses a movable member upward, thus raising a pressing member. A support block is moved forward by means of the press-up member and a moved member. Due to the cam action brought about by such movement, the pressing member is arranged above a filler on a balloon of a molding drum. Then, the press-up member is lowered to press a distal end section of the filler onto the balloon. In this state, the molding drum is rotated to mold the filler in an annular shape. The pressing member is then separated from the filler and the pressing member is arranged at a standby position outside the molding drum. The press-up member and the moved member are separable from each other and, in the separated state, the molding drum is independently rotatable.

Tire frame step portions 18 are formed to a tire frame member 17. The tire frame step portions 18 are formed further toward the tire equatorial plane side than tire axial direction end portions 30A of a tread member 30. Covering layers 24 are formed at the outside of the tire frame member 17 so as to span from bead portions to the tire frame step portions 18.

A tire includes a circular tire frame formed of a resin material, the resin material including a polyamide-based thermoplastic elastomer having a weight average molecular weight of from 15,700 to 75,000. Included with the tire may be side portions and a crown portion that serves as an outer peripheral portion that is in communication with the side portions.
