TIRE PLY JOINT CONFIGURATION
A method of forming a layer of tire ply is disclosed. A first strip of ply is provided having a plurality of evenly spaced reinforcement cords, having a spacing S, and having a lateral end, wherein the last cord is spaced apart from strip end a distance X, wherein X is not equal to S. A second strip of ply is provided having a plurality of evenly spaced reinforcement cords, having a spacing S, and having a lateral end, wherein the last cord is spaced apart from strip end a distance Y, wherein Y is not equal to S. The lateral ends of the first and second strip are joined together in a lap joint. The first and second lateral ends are overlapped so that the spacing X preferrably does not overlap, but may partially overlap with the spacing Y.
PNEUMATIC TIRE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
In a pneumatic tire, respective end portions in the tire circumferential direction of a composite layer of an inner liner and a rubber layer are jointed at a joint portion; the lower inner liner layer has a first edge and the upper inner liner layer has a second edge at the joint portion; the first edge is separated from the upper inner liner layer by the rubber layer; provided that a position on the upper inner liner layer at the same height as the lower inner liner layer and closest to the first edge is P, a circumferential distance measured from the first edge to the position P is L, and a circumferential distance measured from the second edge to the position P is T, T35 mm, TL/29 mm, and 0T<L0.2T.
Pneumatic tire
In a pneumatic tire that includes strip members which extends in a tire circumferential direction, both ends thereof reaching each bead portion, a belt layer is disposed in a tread portion on an outer side in a tire radial direction of the strip members. The strip members are divided in the tire width direction, and the divided strip members have joints that join together in the tire circumferential direction. Relative positions of the joints are disposed deviated by not less than 20 in the tire circumferential direction within a region between an edge of a maximum width in the tire width direction of the belt layer and a maximum tire width position.
Pneumatic tire with rectangle-sheet-shaped carcass ply pieces
A pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass configured from at least one carcass ply. The carcass ply is formed by arranging, in the tire circumferential direction, rectangular sheet-shaped ply pieces, each having a radial direction length larger than a tire circumferential direction length. In each of the ply pieces, carcass cords are arranged parallel to each other in the longitudinal direction, and adjacent ply pieces at least partially overlap with each other in the tire circumferential direction, and in each of the ply pieces, the distance (Pe) between the carcass cords in at least one side edge portion in the circumferential direction of the ply piece, is larger than the distance (Pc) between the carcass cords in a central portion of the ply piece.
Tire with spliced film innerliner
The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire having an alloy film innerliner with a rubber reinforced spliced overlapping ends.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire 1 comprises a carcass 6 comprising at least one carcass ply 6A extending between bead portions 4 via sidewall portions 3 and a tread portion 2. The carcass ply 6A comprises strip-shaped ply pieces 11 longer in a tire radial direction than in a tire circumferential direction arranged circumferentially. Each of the ply pieces 11 comprises a plurality of carcass cords 12 arranged in parallel in the tire radial direction and at least partly overlapping each other with the ply pieces 11 circumferentially adjacent. At least one of the carcass cords 12 arranged in at least one of side edge portions 11e in the tire circumferential direction of each of the ply pieces 11 having a diameter (Ce) smaller than a diameter (Cc) of at least one of the carcass cords 12 arranged in a center portion 11c of each of the ply pieces 11.
Pneumatic Tire Production Method
In a pneumatic tire production method including a step of overlapping end portions of a sheet laminate and vulcanization-molding the tire, the sheet laminate being obtained by layering an elastomer layer and a sheet of a thermoplastic resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer, after the end portions of the sheet laminate are overlapped, the overlapped portion of the sheet laminate is compression-bonded at a temperature of not less than a glass transition temperature Tg of the thermoplastic resin and not greater than 120 C.
Device and method for joining rubber members
When overlapping and joining together end portions of a rubber member, it becomes possible to join them at a joining area smaller than a conventional one by increasing the joining area. There is provided a joining device for overlapping end portions, of a rubber member (tire constituent member) with one upper end portion placing on the other lower end portion and joining the end portions of the rubber member, in which a pressing roll (disk-shaped roll) rotating about an inclined shaft is rolled while being pressed against the overlapped upper end portion of the rubber member, and the upper end portion is extended by a shearing force generated at this time to increase a joining area between the both end portions.
PNEUMATIC TIRE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING PNEUMATIC TIRE
This disclosure is to provide a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire without generation of end material when manufacturing an inner liner. The method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire according to this disclosure, which arranges an inner liner on an inner circumferential surface of a tire molded body, includes a cutting process of cutting in a widthwise direction a strip-like resin film having a thermoplastic resin film layer, at a constant spacing in a longitudinal direction of the resin film; a joining process of joining uncut edges of a plurality of resin film pieces generated in the cutting process; and a process of arranging the inner liner generated in the joining process on the inner circumferential surface of the tire molded body.
