GLASS UNIT FOR AN ILLUMINATED VEHICLE ROOF, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A GLASS UNIT, AND ILLUMINATED VEHICLE ROOF
A glass unit for an illuminated vehicle roof has a glass pane, a plastic film and an outer and an inner polyurethane layer. These components are stacked one on top of the other in a planar manner in the following order: glass pane, inner polyurethane layer, plastic film, outer polyurethane layer. Furthermore, the plastic film has a lower refractive index than the adjacent outer polyurethane layer.
Heads-up display and coating therefor
A laminate including: a first ply having a first surface and a second surface, where the first surface is an outer surface of the laminate; a second ply having a third surface facing the second surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface, where the fourth surface is an inner surface of the laminate; an interlayer between the plies; and an enhanced p-polarized reflective coating positioned over at least a portion of a surface of the plies. When the laminate is contacted with radiation having p-polarized radiation at an angle of 60° relative to normal of the laminate, the laminate exhibits a LTA of at least 70% and a reflectivity of the p-polarized radiation of at least 10%. A display system and method of projecting an image in a heads-up display is also disclosed.
SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING OVERHEATING ARCING IN HEATED LAMINATED GLASS
A system includes a laminated glass comprising a protective layer disposed between two sheets of glass. The system includes a resistive conductive coating made of a first electrically conducting material disposed on a surface of one of the two sheets of glass facing the protective layer. The system includes a first set of electrodes made of a second electrically conducting material disposed on the resistive conductive coating. The system includes a second set of electrodes made of a third electrically conducting material disposed on the first set of electrodes. The second set of electrodes is electrically connected to the first set of electrodes, respectively. The third electrically conducting material of the second set of electrodes is more ductile than the second electrically conducting material of the first set of electrodes.
Connection apparatus and methods for communication with movable electro-optic window systems
A vehicle apparatus configured to selectively position and enclose an opening formed in at least one panel of a vehicle includes a sliding panel and a positioning mechanism. The sliding panel includes an electrical device in communication with a control circuit of the vehicle and the positioning mechanism is configured to slidably position the sliding panel along a positioning track between an open position and a closed position. A control connection is configured to transmit control signals between the control circuit of the vehicle and the electrical device. The control connection extends from a portion of the vehicle to a connection interface of the electrical device, and the connection apparatus is configured to communicate a control signal to adjust an operating state of the electrical device in both the open position and the closed position.
Windows With Uniform Thicknesses
A system may have a window. The system may be a vehicle having a vehicle body. The window may serve as a front window in the vehicle body, a rear window in the vehicle body, a side or roof window, or other window. A window may include one or more structural glass layers. A layer of polymer may be used to attach glass layers together. An electrically adjustable component such as a light modulator layer may be included between structural glass layers. The glass layers may be characterized by regions of compound curvature. To ensure satisfactory optical performance, the window layers may be formed from molded sheets of glass that are shaped in a molding tool with draw beads of various strengths. The molded glass layers may exhibit low amounts of thickness variation.
Process for preparing a laminated glazing
A process for preparing a laminated glazing comprises providing a first glass sheet formed into a desired shape with a first thickness by a first procedure and providing a second glass sheet formed into a desired shape with a second thickness by a second procedure with an interlayer located therebetween, and laminating together the first and second glass sheets and the interlayer at a temperature and pressure sufficient to adhere the interlayer material to the glass sheets and in which the process further comprises applying a mould which is shaped substantially the same as the first glass sheet, against the second glass sheet, during laminating to adhere the interlayer material to the two glass sheets such that after lamination, the shape of the second glass sheet is substantially the same as the shape of the first glass sheet.
Antenna glazing
The present invention concerns a vehicle antenna glazing antenna element. According to the present invention, the antenna element is placed on an outwardly oriented face of the glazing and the antenna is working at a frequency comprised between 750 MHZ and 28 GHZ. The antenna 5 element is connected to a co-axial cable.

A composite glass pane that contains two glass panes or two polymer panes or one glass pane and one polymer pane and has at least one polymer film bonded therebetween, wherein a first type of polymer film having a first stiffness is arranged in a first, larger areal region of the composite glass pane and a second type of polymer film having a second, higher stiffness than the first polymer film is arranged in at least one second areal region.

The present invention relates to a polyvinyl acetal resin composition containing: a polyvinyl acetal; a photoradical polymerization initiator; and a monomer or oligomer having a radical polymerizable double bond.
