INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF PRINTING INK USING THE SAME AND METHOD OF FABRICATING DISPLAY DEVICE
An inkjet printing apparatus, method of printing ink using the same and method of fabricating display device are provided. The method of printing ink includes: ejecting ink in which a plurality of particles is dispersed from an inkjet head; irradiating the ejected ink with a first light and a second light having different wavelengths to acquire data on a first exit light and a second exit light emitted from the ink; calculating a concentration of the particles in the ink from the data on the first exit light and the second exit light; and checking whether the concentration is out of an error range from a reference value, where the first light has a wavelength of about 500 nm or less, and the second light has a wavelength of about 1000 nm or more.
RECORDING DEVICE AND CURL DETERMINATION METHOD
There is provided a recording device including a transport section that transports paper along a support surface; a recording section; a determination region setting section; a liquid volume ratio calculation section; a determination section; and a recording position adjustment section that, when the determination section determines that the average value is larger than the threshold, adjusts a distance of the recording section from the support surface to a distance which is longer than a case in which the average value is not larger than the threshold.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING A PER-IMAGE RESOURCE CONSUMPTION IN A PRINTER
A method for attributing an amount of resource consumption to an individual printed image that is printed in a printer comprising a print job controller and a print engine, wherein the print job controller is configured to compile a print job that comprises at least two images to be printed, the print job controller comprising an estimation section arranged to estimate a respective amount of resource consumption for each of the at least two images on the basis of print data that define the images, the method comprising the steps of: a) compiling a print job with at least two images; b) printing at least a part of each of the at least two images while monitoring a total amount of resource consumption; c) estimating the amount of resource consumption for the printed part of each of the at least two images on the basis of the print data; and d) proportioning the monitored total amount in proportion to the estimated amounts.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREFOR INCLUDING INQUIRY AND NOTIFICATION FEATURES
An inkjet recording apparatus includes an ink tank, a recording head, a monitor, an operation panel, and a controller. The ink tank forms an ink chamber and including an injection inlet. The recording head ejects ink from the ink chamber to record an image on a sheet. The operation panel receives user input. The controller controls operation of the recording head, the monitor, and the operation panel. The controller performs receiving a completion signal indicating completion of ink injection, decision processing deciding whether an initial processing has been completed, and inquiry processing based on receipt of the completion signal.
LIQUID CARTRIDGE
A liquid cartridge is configured to be inserted into a liquid consuming apparatus in a first direction along a horizontal direction against an urging force directed in a second direction opposite the first direction, and thereby to be mounted to the liquid consuming apparatus. The liquid cartridge is configured to pivot about a pivot center in the liquid consuming apparatus. The liquid cartridge includes a rear face, and the rear face includes a first portion and a second portion positioned further in an upward direction than the first portion. The first portion includes a portion positioned further in a downward direction than the pivot center, and the first portion is positioned further in the first direction than the second portion.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS, IMPRINT APPARATUS AND PART MANUFACTURING METHOD
A liquid discharge apparatus comprises a head including a discharge port surface, a first reservoir that stores the liquid to be supplied to the head, a flexible member, separating an inner space of the first reservoir into a first chamber that stores the liquid and a second chamber that stores an operation liquid, a second reservoir communicating with the second chamber, the second reservoir storing the operation liquid to be supplied to the second chamber, the second reservoir being disposed in such a manner that a liquid surface of the operation liquid stored in the second reservoir is positioned below the discharge port surface, and an adjustment unit that performs adjustment in such a manner that a position of the liquid surface of the operation liquid in the second reservoir falls within a predetermined range in a state where the second reservoir is opened to atmosphere.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD
An inkjet printing apparatus and its control method which can suppress defective ejection and wasteful ink consumption are provided. For that purpose, pigment density N.sub.x of the ink in a circulation path is calculated, and the ink in the circulation path is discharged on the basis of the pigment density N.sub.x.
Printing-fluid containing device including printing-fluid cartridge and adaptor
A printing-fluid containing device configured to be inserted into a cartridge attachment section in an insertion direction includes: a printing-fluid cartridge and an adaptor to which the cartridge is detachably assembled. The cartridge includes: a casing; a supply portion; a detection portion; and an engagement portion. The adaptor includes: an adaptor body; and an electrical interface. The detection portion includes a light accessible portion accessed by light from an outside of the cartridge. The engagement portion is engageable with the cartridge attachment section. The adaptor body has a front wall at its leading end in the insertion direction. The front wall has an opening through which the supply portion extends. The electrical interface is disposed on an outer surface of the adaptor body and electrically connectable to an electric contact of the cartridge attachment section.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CAPABLE OF PERFORMING PROCESSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH OPERATION MODE SET THEREFOR
An image forming apparatus includes: a main casing; a supply cartridge attachable to the main casing; a printing mechanism; a display; and a controller configured to perform: determining, based on information inputted into the controller, whether an agreement is made for the image forming apparatus; setting, when an agreement is made for the image forming apparatus, an operation mode for the image forming apparatus to a pre-contract mode; determining under the pre-contract mode whether a type of the supply cartridge attached to the main casing is a normal type or a subscription type; displaying, when the type of the supply cartridge attached to the main casing is the normal type, information related to the pre-contract mode on the display; and setting, when the type of the supply cartridge attached to the main casing is the subscription type, the operation mode from the pre-contract mode to a formal contract mode.
MAINTENANCE OF PRINTING DEVICES
Determining a need for maintenance of a printing device in large format printing is described in which historical performance data including ink consumption data relating to the printing device may be obtained. Threshold data based on the obtained historical performance data indicative of a need for maintenance of the printing device may be identified. Current performance data of the printing device may be monitored and may be used to determine whether the current performance data exceeds the identified threshold data indicative of a need for maintenance of the printing device.
