Liquid storage container

A liquid storage container includes: a discharge port member including a discharge port through which liquid stored in a storage portion is discharged; a cover portion configured to be attachable to and detachable from the discharge port member and to be capable of opening and closing the discharge port; a liquid stop valve provided inside the discharge port member; and a protrusion provided inside the cover portion and configured to open the liquid stop valve in closing the cover portion. In the liquid storage container, the storage portion is sealable by at least one of a first sealing portion formed of a contact portion between the cover portion and the discharge port member and a second sealing portion formed of the liquid stop valve, and the first sealing portion and the second sealing portion are configured to be simultaneously unsealed.

Ink tank and image recording apparatus

An ink tank includes: a first liquid storage chamber; a second liquid storage chamber communicating with the first liquid storage chamber through a communication passage; an injector having an opening supplying liquid to the first liquid storage chamber; a cap movable between an open position and a closed position with respect to the injector; a slide member which is inserted so as to be vertically movable with respect to the opening of the injector, the slide member being moved downward by the cap in the closed position; a valve body which is vertically movably inserted in the communication passage and includes a first sealing member opening the communication passage by moving downward together with the slide member moved downward by the cap in the closed position; and an urging member always urging the valve body upward.

Actuators for fluid delivery systems

An apparatus includes a reservoir and a printhead. The printhead includes a support structure including a deformable portion defining at least a top surface of a pumping chamber, a flow path extending from the reservoir to the pumping chamber to transfer fluid from the reservoir to the pumping chamber, and an actuator disposed on the deformable portion of the support structure. A trench is defined in a top surface of the actuator. Application of a voltage to the actuator causes the actuator to deform along the trench, thereby causing deformation of the deformable portion of the support structure to eject a drop of fluid from the pumping chamber.

TUBE PUMP AND PRINTING APPARATUS

A tube pump that sends a fluid includes a tube, a roller, and a roller holder. In the roller holder, a guide groove is formed that receives a shaft of the roller and defines a range in which the roller is movable with respect to the roller holder. The roller holder has an inner side surface and an outer side surface as surfaces defining the guide groove in the roller holder. The inner side surface has a protrusion protruding toward the outer side surface.

Print materials replenishment

In some examples, a print materials container can include a dispense mechanism to dispense print materials directly to an in-situ reservoir of a printing device, a lock feature to engage a fill port during connection of the dispense mechanism to the fill port, and a valve integrated with the dispense mechanism for connecting the dispense mechanism to the fill port of the reservoir and comprising an output opening offset from a center axis of a tip of the dispense mechanism. The valve can open responsive to rotation of the valve opening with respect to the lock feature such that opposite openings align.

Fluid pumps with shifters

In an example, a fluid pump includes a shifter having a first end and pivotable about a second end, a cam rotatably engaged with the shifter, wherein the cam is to rotate about a cam shaft axis if the shifter pivots about the second end, a diaphragm fluidly engaged with a fluid cavity, a collar movable with a cam surface of the cam, wherein the collar is to compress the diaphragm so as to decrease the volume of the fluid cavity, a fluid inlet having a one-way inlet valve to only allow fluid into the fluid cavity, and a fluid outlet having a one-way outlet valve to only allow fluid out of the fluid cavity, wherein the one-way outlet valve is to allow fluid out of the fluid cavity upon the volume of the fluid cavity being decreased.

An ink supply bottle from which ink is to be supplied to a printer includes: an ink bag that contains the ink; a bottle unit that houses the ink bag and that has a bottleneck with an exit opening; and an ink conduit member disposed in the bottleneck of the bottle. The ink conduit member is in contact with an inner side of the ink bag and seals an opening of the ink bag to form an ink outlet. The ink bag is made of an elastic or stretchable material.

DETECTION METHOD FOR LIQUID LEVEL OF STORAGE TANK

A detection method for a liquid level of a storage tank is provided. The detection method determines that an optical sensor is for a liquid level detection purpose when a sensing value to a tank object is consistent with a first threshold condition. The detection method further determines the optical sensor as valid on liquid level detection when sensing values respectively corresponding to statuses of print material and non-print-material are consistent with a second threshold condition. During printing, the detection method starts/stops pouring print material into a storage tank when the sensing value of the optical sensor is consistent with a third threshold condition correspondingly.

LIQUID CONTAINER

A liquid container connected to a liquid ejection apparatus for ejecting a liquid, includes a container for containing liquid and a filter section for collecting foreign matter, an injection port for injecting the liquid into the container and a lead out port for leading out the liquid from the container are opened in the container, and the filter part is positioned in the injection port.
