or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said compound, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the variables X, R.sup.1, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, A, B, L, m and n are as defined herein. The invention also provides uses of the compounds of Formula (I), as defined herein, for inhibiting plasmepsin V activity, for treating a Plasmodium infection, and for treating malaria. Also provided are methods of treatment further comprising administration of one or more additional anti-malarial compounds.
TRANSFER FILM, USE OF A TRANSFER FILM, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A TRANSFER FILM, METHOD FOR DECORATING A PLASTIC ARTICLE, AND PLASTIC ARTICLE
A transfer film (1), the use of a transfer film (1), a method for producing a transfer film (1), a method for producing a transfer film (1), a method for decorating a plastic article (10), and a plastic article (10). The transfer film (1), for application to a base body (9), here includes a carrier ply (2) and a transfer ply (3) and a first layer (4), wherein the surface of the first layer (4) can be touched by a person at least in areas after the application to the base body (9), and wherein the first layer (4) contains at least one substance with an antimicrobial action.
PRINTED MATTER WITH DECORATIONS
To solve the problem of requiring a number of fabrication steps for making a printed matter formed with protrusions and depressions and having its protruding portions decorated with metal foil. A printed matter according to the present invention includes: a sheet or base paper; a printed layer printed on a surface of the sheet or base paper with ink containing releasing agent; a graphic formed on a surface of the printed layer with ink or resin that adheres to the printed layer; and a metal foil applied only on a surface of the graphic via adhesive having a property of not adhering to the printed layer but adhering to the graphic formed of ink or resin.
MICRO-CUT PATTERNED ARTICLE AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A patterned article includes a carrier layer having a microstructured first major surface and an opposing second major surface. The first major surface includes pluralities of upper and lower edges spaced apart along a thickness direction of the carrier layer and defining respective upper and lower portions of the first major surface. The lower portion is disposed between the upper portion and the second major surface. The article includes a first functional layer disposed on the lower, but not the upper portion of the first major surface. The first functional layer includes at least one first micro-cut inorganic layer including a plurality of cut edges substantially coextensive with the plurality of lower edges. A method of making the patterned article is provided. Articles that can be made by transferring a functional layer from the patterned article are provided.
COMPOUNDS FOR THE TREATMENT OF MALARIA
The present invention provides methods of treating malaria by administration of a compound of Formula (I): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of said compound, to a subject in need thereof, wherein the variables X, R1, R3, R4, R5, A, B, L, m and n are as defined herein. The invention also provides uses of the compounds of Formula (I), as defined herein, for inhibiting plasmepsin V activity, for treating a Plasmodium infection, and for treating malaria. Also provided are methods of treatment further comprising administration of one or more additional anti-malarial compounds.
##STR00001##
METHOD FOR PRODUCING LIGHT-ACCUMULATING TRANSFER SHEET, LIGHT-ACCUMULATING TRANSFER SHEET AND TRANSFER METHOD FOR LIGHT-ACCUMULATING TRANSFER SHEET
A method for producing a light-accumulating transfer sheet, which comprises: an adhesive layer forming step for forming an adhesive layer on a supporting layer; a resin layer forming step for forming a resin layer on the adhesive layer; a heat generation layer forming step for forming a heat generation layer, which comprises a dye layer containing a near-infrared absorbing dye on the resin layer; and a pigment dispersion layer forming step for forming a pigment dispersion layer, which contains a light-accumulating pigment on the heat generation layer.
THREE-DIMENSIONALLY SHAPED OBJECT FORMING SHEET, THREE-DIMENSIONALLY SHAPED OBJECT AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR SAME, AND PRODUCTION METHOD FOR DECORATED THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT
A three-dimensionally shaped object forming sheet includes: a thermally expansive layer distending at a predetermined temperature or higher; a base laminated on one side thereof with the thermally expansive layer; and a photothermal conversion layer for converting absorbed light to heat, formed on at least one side, wherein the base includes a first base and a second base that are laminated; and the first base has an elasticity that is greater than an elasticity of the second base.
COLOR MARK STRUCTURE APPLYING ON RUBBER PRODUCT AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME
A color mark structure applying on rubber product comprises cellophane and a transfer paper. The transfer paper is arranged on the cellophane and a predetermined color or a predetermined pattern with a predetermined color is printed thereon by screen printing. The transfer paper having the predetermined color or the predetermined pattern with the predetermined color and the cellophane are attached on the rubber product. The upper and lower sides of the transfer paper are respectively connected with the cellophane and the rubber product.
Decorative transfer methods and apparatus
Apparatus and methods for transferring a pigment-based decorative design onto a surface without using a plastic film or adhesive.
MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR DECORATED OBJECT
A manufacturing method for a decorated object is provided. In this manufacturing method, a foil is attached to a medium to obtain the decorated object. The manufacturing method includes: a foil layer forming step of attaching the foil to an adhesive layer formed on the medium, so as to form a foil layer in a manner that the adhesive layer is partly exposed; and an ink layer forming step of applying an ink to the foil layer on which the adhesive layer is partly exposed, so as to form an ink layer in a manner that the ink contacts an exposed part of the adhesive layer.
