CAP PLY STRIP WITH ALTERNATE NYLON 6,6 AND PET CORDS
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord fabric or strip made of alternating PET and nylon 6.6 warp cords which is used as tire reinforcement. Such a novel tire cord fabric or strips improve high speed durability, tread separation resistance and impact resistance when used as zero degree spirally wound cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
NOVEL BIELASTIC ARAMID TIRE CORD AS CAP PLY
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus aramid fibers which has bielastic tensile properties. The dipped and heat-set aramid cord includes at least two cord plies and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bielastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
NOVEL BIELASTIC CARBON FIBER CORD AS CAP PLY
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus carbon fibers which has bi-elastic tensile properties. The dipped and heat-set carbon fiber cord includes at least two cord plies and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bi-elastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as cap ply in pneumatic radial tires.
MOTORCYCLE TIRE
A motorcycle tire comprising: a carcass extending between a pair of bead portions 4 through a tread portion 2 and a pair of sidewall portions 3, and a band 7 disposed radially outside the carcass in the tread portion. The band 7 is composed of a ply of a spirally wound steel band cord 10, and the steel band cord 10 has a compressive stiffness of not more than 500 N/mm, a bending rigidity of not more than 15.0 g cm, and an elongation percentage at 49N of 0.5% to 2.5%.
Pneumatic Radial Tire
A pneumatic radial tire of the present technology has a belt reinforcing layer and a tread rubber. The belt reinforcing layer comprises a composite fiber cord having one aromatic polyamide fiber cord and one aliphatic polyamide fiber cord twisted therein. A total fineness of the composite fiber cords is from 1800 to 3200 dtex and an elongation under a load of 2.0 cN/dtex is from 3.0 to 4.0%. A rubber composition constituting the tread rubber is formed by compounding from 10 to 110 parts by weight of a silica having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of not less than 100 m.sup.2/g with 100 parts by weight of a diene rubber. A loss compliance of the rubber composition at 60 C. is not greater than 45 Pa.sup.1.
A CAP PLY REINFORCEMENT CORD
The present invention relates to a asymmetric cap ply reinforcement cord comprising yarns having yarns with two different linear density values in range of 1300-1500 dtex and 850-100 dtex in the cap ply reinforcement layer that is located between the tread and the belt package in a pneumatic radial vehicle tire comprising a tread and a belt package, and that is formed by winding spirally as strip comprising at least two cords such that it will make 0 to 5 angle with the equatorial plane on the said belt package.
Pneumatic radial tire for passenger vehicle
The present invention provides a pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle, having: a cross sectional width SW and an outer diameter OD controlled under an appropriate SW-OD relationship; and an optimized configuration of a crown portion thereof.
Pneumatic Tire
A pneumatic tire includes a tread portion; sidewall portions; bead portions; a carcass layer disposed extending between the pair of bead portions; a belt layer of a plurality of layers disposed on an outer circumferential side of the carcass layer in the tread portion; and a band-like noise absorbing member adhered to a region corresponding to a tire inner surface of the tread portion along the tire circumferential direction interposed by an adhesive layer. The pneumatic tire further includes a belt cover layer being disposed on an outer circumferential side of the belt layer across an entire width of the belt layer, the belt cover layer including organic fiber cords arranged in the tire circumferential direction; and a rate of change of a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 270 km/h with respect to a dynamic loaded radius when traveling at 30 km/h being restricted to 2.0% or less.
Tyre with lightened belt structure including steel monofilaments
A radial tire includes a crown reinforcement or belt having a lightened belt structure. The lightened belt structure is constructed of a multilayer composite laminate that includes a first layer of rubber that radially surmounts, in a direction Z, two other layers of rubber. The first layer of rubber includes weakly heat-shrinkable textile circumferential reinforcers, for example, made of nylon or polyester. The two other layers of rubber are reinforced with monofilaments of high tensile steel. The first reinforcers have a diameter between 0.40 mm and 0.70 mm and a density between 70 and 130 threads/dm, and the second and third reinforcers have a diameter between 0.20 mm and 0.50 mm and a density between 120 and 180 threads/dm.
