Pneumatic tire

A pneumatic tire comprises a tread portion provided on each side of the tire equator with a middle land portion defined between a shoulder main groove and a crown main groove each extending continuously in the tire circumferential direction. The middle land portion is provided with axially inside middle lug grooves and axially outside middle lug grooves arranged alternately in the tire circumferential direction. The axially inside middle lug groove is connected to the crown main groove at an angle θ1 of from 20 to 45 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction and has an axially inner opened end and an axially outer closed end. The outside middle lug grooves is connected to the shoulder main groove at an angle θ2 of from 60 to 80 degrees with respect to the tire circumferential direction and has an axially outer open end and an axially inner closed end. The tread portion may be provided with a shoulder land portion comprising circumferential sipes, axial grooves terminating at the circumferential sipes, and a circumferentially continuous rib.

Heavy-Duty Pneumatic Tire

A heavy-duty pneumatic tire includes a tread pattern including center lug grooves, shoulder lug grooves, a pair of circumferential primary grooves formed in wave-like shapes by alternately connecting ends of the center lug grooves and ends of the shoulder lug grooves and having a smaller width than the width of the shoulder lug grooves, center blocks defined by the center lug groove and the circumferential primary grooves, and a circumferential secondary groove extending in the tire circumferential direction so as to divide regions of the center blocks. The belt portion includes two or greater pairs of belts. The ratio of the width W8 of a belt having a smaller width in each of the belt pairs to the width W7 of a belt having a greater width is 0.75 or greater and 0.90 or less.

Heavy Duty Pneumatic Tire

A tread pattern is provided with: shoulder lug grooves open at ground contact ends; center lug grooves each having opposite ends; circumferential primary grooves each formed in a wavy shape by connecting ends of the center lug grooves and the inner ends of the shoulder lug grooves in the width direction of the tire; and center blocks defined by the center lug grooves and the pair of circumferential primary grooves. The width of the circumferential primary grooves is smaller than the width of the shoulder lug grooves. The center lug grooves are tilted relative to both the circumferential direction and the width direction of the tire and each have a third groove turning portion and a fourth groove turning portion which protrude in the different directions in the circumferential direction of the tire.

In a tire, plural outer side cutouts, which respectively correspond to block land portions and extend toward tire width direction outer sides and end midway along outer side land portions, are formed so as to be spaced apart in a tire circumferential direction in tire width direction inner-side side walls, which are exposed to central circumferential grooves, of the outer side land portions that are provided further toward tire width direction outer sides than the two central circumferential grooves respectively. Further, at least portions of tire width direction inner side openings of the outer side cutouts are positioned between maximum position A, at which a tire width direction distance of a corresponding block land portion is a maximum, and an intermediate point B of two vertices that are adjacent at a tire width direction outer-side side wall of the block land portion.

A pneumatic tire includes first and second main grooves, and first sipes and auxiliary grooves on second land portions between the first and second main grooves, the auxiliary grooves opening to the second main grooves and terminating in the second land portions. The auxiliary grooves bend at a bend point and include a first portion extending from an opening end to the bend point, and a second portion extending from the bend point to a terminating end. A groove width of the first portion gradually reduces from the opening end to the bend point. Second sipes have an end that opens to each of the second main grooves and another end that opens to each of the terminating ends. Third sipes have an end that opens to the first main grooves and another end that opens to the first portions. The sipes are parallel to each other.
