Tire
A tire has a tread surface, the tread surface including a circumferential groove extending in a tire circumferential direction, a lug groove extending in a direction intersecting the circumferential groove, and a plurality of land parts partitioned by the circumferential groove and the lug groove. A width-direction groove extending in a tire widthwise direction is formed on a land part of the plurality of land parts. An in-groove sipe is arranged along one side edge of a groove bottom of the width-direction groove.
Tire with shallow groove-based tread wear indicator
A tire including a tread wear indicator is provided. The tire includes a pair of sidewalls, in which each sidewall extends from a respective bead area to a tread. The tread includes a plurality of main circumferential grooves, in which the main circumferential grooves are disposed in and proximate an axial center area of the tread. At least one shallow groove is formed in the tread, and each shallow groove includes a depth relative to the surface of the tread that is less than a depth of each of the main circumferential grooves. A primary tread wear indicator is disposed in at least one of the main circumferential grooves, and a secondary tread wear indicator is disposed in the shallow groove.
Tyre
A tyre includes a tread portion including an outboard middle land portion disposed between an outboard tread edge and a tyre equator. The outboard middle land portion includes first and second longitudinal edges, outboard middle lateral grooves extending from the first longitudinal edge and having terminal ends within the outboard middle land portion, first outboard middle sipes extending from the respective terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves to the second longitudinal edge, and second outboard middle sipes extending from the first longitudinal edge toward the second longitudinal edge beyond the terminal ends of the outboard middle lateral grooves and terminating within the outboard middle land portion. The outboard middle land portion is not provided with any lateral grooves that extend from the second longitudinal edge toward the first longitudinal edge to reach an axial center location of the outboard middle land portion.
TIRE
A tire includes a circumferential narrow main groove extending in a tire circumferential direction provided in a tread portion. The circumferential narrow main groove includes a narrow groove portion having a groove width W1 in a range of 1.0 mm≤W1≤4.0 mm in a region where a groove depth from a road contact surface of the tread portion is less than 30%, and a widened portion having a maximum groove width W2 more widened than the groove width W1 in a region where the groove depth is 30% or more.
TIRE
A circumferential narrow main groove extending in a circumferential direction in a tread of a pneumatic tire. The circumferential narrow main groove includes a narrow portion opening to a road contact surface of the tread and a widened portion having a wider groove width than the narrow portion. The widened portion is at a groove bottom. A groove width ratio (W2/W1) of a maximum groove width W2 of the widened portion to a groove width W1 of the narrow groove portion is in a range 1.5≤(W2/W1)≤4.0, and a cross-sectional area ratio (A2/A1) of a groove bottom-side cross-sectional area A2 to a groove opening-side cross-sectional area A1 in a meridian cross-section is within a range 1.2<(A2/A1)<4.0 when the circumferential narrow main groove is divided into two parts at 50% of a maximum groove depth of the circumferential narrow main groove. The cross-sectional area ratio changes along the circumferential direction.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A tire, comprising: a plurality of shoulder blocks side by side in a tire circumferential direction on the outermost side in a tire width direction, by a main groove extending in the tire circumferential direction in a tread surface of a tread portion and by a plurality of subsidiary grooves intersecting the main groove; and a plurality of sipes extending along the tire width direction in the tread surface of each of the plurality of shoulder blocks and provided side by side in the tire circumferential direction. Each of the plurality of sipes includes at least an end portion terminated on an outer side in the tire width direction, a cap tread rubber forming the tread surface has JIS hardness Ha of in a range of not less than 45 and not greater than 55, a snow traction index in a 0° direction is less than 180.
TIRE
A tire includes a plurality of main lug grooves and a plurality of sub lug grooves that extend in a tire width direction and penetrate a tread surface, and that are arranged at predetermined intervals in a tire circumferential direction. Additionally, the main lug grooves have a maximum groove width Wg1 of 15.0 mm or more and a maximum groove depth of 23.5 mm or more. In addition, the sub lug grooves have a maximum groove width Wg2 that satisfies 0.10≤Wg2/Wg1≤0.35 with respect to the maximum groove width Wg1 of the main lug grooves. Additionally, at least one of the sub lug grooves is disposed between adjacent ones of the main lug grooves.
