A protective device including a flexible fabric shiftable longitudinally between different functional positions, and provided on opposite side edges with respective stiffening strips guided in a manner shiftable longitudinally in vehicle-mounted guide tracks. A pull-out profile extends transversely with respect to the longitudinal shifting direction of the fabric and is connected to an end region thereof. The pull-out profile is guided in the vehicle-mounted guide tracks by guide elements, and each stiffening strip is fastened on the end side to a respective guide element. Each stiffening strip has at least three receptacles provided one behind another in the longitudinal shifting direction, and the guide element is assigned at least three profiling portions spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal shifting direction and projecting into the receptacles in a form-fitting manner transversely with respect to the longitudinal shifting direction.

A shading device for a vehicle roof includes at least one shading length that can be rolled up for shading a light-permeable and/or open area of the vehicle roof, a tension bow that is movably mounted in a direction of travel (V), to which the shading length-is fastened, a drive mechanism that can be operated by a drive motor to move the tension and a control unit for activating the drive motor. The shading device includes at least one opposing force element for restricting a traveling movement of the tension bow, and the control unit is designed to activate the drive motor based on an opposing force when the tension bow reaches an end position (P1, P2) defined by the stop element.

A window assembly for a vehicle includes a frame, one or more panes secured to the frame, and a shade movably coupled to the frame. The shade is configured to be moved between an open position and a closed position. The shade includes an illuminator that is configured to allow ambient light from outside of the vehicle to pass through and illuminate the illuminator.

A vehicle windshield roller shade including a roller shade assembly having a cylindrical casing, a U-shaped bracket, and a series of fasteners. The cylindrical casing houses a retractable shade hosted on a retractable coil. The U-shaped bracket is configured to be mounted along a vertical side of a windshield using semi-permanent fastening means and is configured to removably engage the cylindrical casing. The series of fasteners may be mounted on an interior surface of the windshield opposing the cylindrical casing and are configured to engage with and secure the retractable shade when the retractable shade is in an extended condition. The retractable shade blocks sunlight from entering a vehicle through its windshield and provides shading to an interior of the vehicle during use.

A retractable overhead assembly for a vehicle having a retractable cover (912) under tension and an integrated stiffening rod that includes attachment features (916) to selectively connect to a windshield area. The retractable system is self contained within an extrusion keeping the overall package size small and the installation/removal simple. The retractable cover creates a sun shade over the vehicle front cockpit and/or rear passenger area when deployed, and is retractable to a stowed position. The retractable overhead assembly is installable under any hard or soft top assembly configuration, and does not impede use or operation of the hard top or soft top assembly.

A shade roller apparatus is provided to achieve stable attachment of a pull bar to a shading sheet, and reduce the numbers of components and process steps required for the attachment. The pull bar may include a clip portion clipping a front hem of the shading sheet along an entire length of the pull bar, and a bottom wall below the clip portion. An arrangement for a darkening device for a vehicle roof having a tension bow and a coupling, said coupling including at least one coupling recess and being coupled to the tension bow at an elongate end thereof. The arrangement has a drive cable and a cable attachment which includes at least one coupling recess and which is coupled thereto at an elongate end of the drive cable. Moreover, the arrangement may have at least one coupling pin which extends in each case into the coupling recess of the coupling and into the coupling recess of the cable attachment and connects the coupling to the cable attachment and couples the tension bow to the drive cable, so that the tension bow can be moved in a predefined manner by the drive cable.

A vehicle sunshade device including: a sunshade configured to block at least a portion of light entering a vehicle cabin, by being disposed along a door glass of a vehicle; a knob attached to the sunshade; and a case configured to internally stow the sunshade, such that stowing of the sunshade is complete in a state in which the knob contacts the case.
