10663069 · 2020-05-26 · ·

A valve member provides for the flow of vapors from a fuel tank of an internal combustion engine to escape the fuel tank. The valve member may include a valve and a boss or spacer. The valve is configured to selectively control the flow of vapor from the fuel tank. The boss or spacer is positioned in a predetermined relationship to the valve, and the boss or spacer prevents a deformation of the valve from disrupting the selectively controlled flow of vapor from the fuel tank.

Fuel cap opening/closing structure of vehicle

A vehicular fuel cap opening/closing structure may include a stopper hinged to a fuel inlet to rotate when a fuel cable is pulled via operation of a switch provided inside a vehicle, a fuel cap external device configured to be held in place by the stopper, the fuel cap external device being discharged in a longitudinal direction of the fuel inlet via rotation of the stopper, a fuel cap internal device fitted inside the fuel cap external device to close the fuel inlet, the fuel cap internal device being engaged with the discharged fuel cap external device, and a fuel cap handle coupled to the fuel cap internal device and held in place by the fuel cap external device to rotate the fuel cap external device and cause the fuel cap internal device to be rotated, guiding opening of the fuel inlet.

Fuel tank adapter for a golf cart

The fuel tank adapter for a golf cart is configured for use with a motorized golf cart. The golf cart further comprises a fuel tank and a tank port. The fuel tank adapter for a golf cart is an extension device. The fuel tank adapter for a golf cart extends the tank port by creating a flow path that guides the liquid fuel from an inlet structure located on the exterior of the golf cart into the fuel tank through the tank port. The fuel tank adapter for a golf cart comprises a coupling structure, an extension structure, and the inlet structure. The inlet structure and the coupling structure attach to the extension structure. The coupling structure attaches the extension structure to the tank port of the fuel tank. The inlet structure receives liquid fuel from an external source and transports the received liquid fuel to the extension structure.

Closure Cap for an Operating Medium Tank
20200101839 · 2020-04-02 ·

A closure cap for an operating medium tank is provided with a closure device projecting into a fill socket of the operating medium tank. The closure device has a first cap element, a second cap element, and a sealing ring arranged between the first and second cap elements. A lifting assembly axially moves by an axial travel the first and second cap elements relative to each other for opening and closing the fill socket. The lifting assembly has a pressure member acting axially on one of the first and second cap elements. A grip member is provided that is rotatable about a hub and actuates the lifting assembly. A cover disk covering at least partially the fill socket relative to an exterior is connected fixedly to the pressure member of the lifting assembly. The cover disk rotates, together with the pressure member, about the hub.

Fuel tank filter assembly and fuel system
10596899 · 2020-03-24 ·

A fuel tank filter assembly and fuel system designed to be used as fuel is initially added to a vehicle. A removable, and cleanable filter sock is provided comprised of mono filament capable of straining micro particles. A pressure release locking cap is also provided. The filter sock allows fuel to flow at a normal rate while still catching and thereby removing unwanted debris.

TANK CAP STRUCTURE AND SADDLE-TYPE VEHICLE

An in-tank fuel pump assembly and mounting system is disclosed which may be configured for mounting inside a fuel tank. The assembly includes a pump housing, pump mounted to the housing, and pressure relief valve. The housing may comprise upper and lower pump housing units coupled together. The upper housing unit is configured for mounting to a tank opening, which in one implementation may be the fuel fill opening. The lower housing unit extends into the tank to approximately the bottom of the tank. A fuel fill fluid pathway is created through the housing for adding fuel to the tank while the pump assembly remains in situ. The upper housing unit may include a removable fuel cap. The pump housing may include an integral vapor trap.

Refuelling coupling

A refueling coupling has an annular fitting 101 having a bore 102, bayonet lugs 103 and slots 104 suiting it for connection to a pressure filling nozzle. A flange 122, drilled with screw holes for securement to a fuel tank (not shown), extends out from the fitting 101. Also not shown for the sake of clarity is a tube extending own from the flange. Rods extend down from the flange 122 to a spider 125, with springs bearing upwards onto the underside of a dry-break member 105, through which the rods extend. The rods, springs and spider are within the non-shown tube. On attaching and opening of a pressure filling nozzle to the coupling, the dry-break member 105 is displaced resiliently inwards fuel can flow past this member and into the tank. The dry-break member has a central aperture 111, normally closed by a plug 112, which is threaded externally 114 and carries an O-ring seal 115 above the thread. The central aperture has a plain bore orifice 116 and is threaded 117 below the plain bore. Thus, when the plug is screwed in, the dry-break member is fluid tight as normal.
