Vehicle seat
A seating posture is stabilized for the shoulders of a passenger seated on a vehicle seat. A vehicle seat is provided with a seat back configured to support the seated person from the rear. A shoulder support portion of the seat back configured to support a corresponding one of the shoulders of the seated passenger includes an air cell configured to expand when air is supplied. When the air cell expands, one end portion of the shoulder support portion on the outside in the width direction of the vehicle seat moves more forward than the other end portion of the shoulder support portion on the inside in the width direction.
OCCUPANT KNEE SUPPORT DEVICE
An occupant knee support device provided in a vehicle includes a knee outer side surface support member and a knee lower surface support member. The knee outer side surface support member is disposed in a side part of the seat surface part in a stored state, protrudes forward and upward beyond the seat surface part in a support state to support an outer side surface of a knee of the occupant. The knee lower surface support member is, in the stored state, provided in a vicinity of a front end part of the seat surface part and separated from a lower surface of the knee of the occupant. The knee lower surface support member is configured to support the lower surface of the knee of the occupant in the supported state.
Adjustment Device for Automatic Seat Position Change in a Vehicle
An adjustment device for the automatic seat position change in a vehicle from an actual setting into a predefinable target setting including an electronic control unit for automatically setting at least one actuator for adjusting at least one seat-position-dependent adjustable vehicle component depending on detected vehicle occupant data. In this case, the control unit has an analysis unit for determining an efficiency-oriented adjustment space requirement for the adjustment of the actual setting into the target setting depending on the vehicle occupant data and the vehicle interior geometry.
Integrated Safety Seat
An integrated safety seat permanently built into a vehicle. The safety seat may be united with other seats or separated from other seats, or other integrated safety seats. The integrated safety seat is configured to accommodate an occupant from newborn to adulthood in a seat bottom, as well as in a back, whereby the seat bottom, back and a cradle in between may incline upward and downward by an internal mechanism, to a plurality of angles, ranging from rear facing to forward facing. The integrated safety seat includes a headrest and footrests support in the forward facing position, which serve as a footrest and headrest support, respectively in the rear facing position. The integrated safety seat includes harnesses and lap-belts with hasps, armrests, and headrests, footrests, inserts, within that elevate. The safety seat further includes integrated safety controls that operate regardless of whether the vehicle is in operation.
Systems and methods for adaptively communicating notices in a vehicle
System, methods, and other embodiments described herein relate to adaptively communicating notices to passengers within a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes in response to receiving a notice about an occurrence of an event, determining a viewing orientation of a passenger in the vehicle according to at least one electronic input that indicates information about a physical position of the passenger within the vehicle. The event is an incident associated with the vehicle for which the passenger is to be informed. The method also includes selecting at least one alerting device from available communication devices in the vehicle according to the viewing orientation by determining which of the available communication devices correspond with the viewing orientation of the passenger. The method further includes controlling the at least one alerting device to communicate the notice to the passenger about the occurrence of the event.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF AT LEAST ONE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
An automatic adjustment of a piece of equipment of a motor vehicle is performed in response to detecting the presence of at least one person on at least one seat of the motor vehicle or detecting the absence of a person on a front passenger seat of the motor vehicle. The automatic adjustment of the at least one piece of equipment as a function of the result of the detection.
ALTERNATING SEAT SETTING
A method is provided for controlling a vehicle seat, wherein settings of parts of the vehicle seat are dynamically adjusted depending on person-related parameters of the person seated on the seat, to make the seated position of the person as favorable as possible under biomechanical aspects.
MONITORING SYSTEM
A monitoring system includes: a monitoring device that outputs a warning when detecting abnormality of a monitoring target person in an interior of a vehicle; a housing arranged on a surface on the interior side of a roof of the vehicle; and a release operation unit arranged being exposed to an outer face of the housing, the release operation unit being able to receive an input of a warning release operation. The monitoring device, in a state of outputting the warning, releases the warning when the warning release operation is input to the release operation unit. As a result, the monitoring system can appropriately monitor the monitoring target person in the interior of the vehicle.
VEHICLE COMPONENT
A vehicle component for a motor vehicle having a rear seat device with at least one headrest and having a wind deflector device with an extendable planar element for protecting front seats of the motor vehicle against relative wind. In an extended state, the planar element extends from a region behind the headrest to a region in front of the headrest. In this context, the headrest can be pivoted by a pivoting device from a position of use, in which the headrest projects beyond a height of the planar element in the extended state, into a position of rest. In the position of rest, the headrest is arranged under the extended planar element.
Systems and methods for delivering discrete autonomous in-vehicle notifications
Method and apparatus are disclosed for providing discrete autonomous notifications to a passenger of a vehicle. An example vehicle includes a plurality of seats, a plurality of audio transducers, and a processor. The processor is configured to determine a passenger seat corresponding to a passenger having a predetermined destination, determine a notification based on the predetermined destination, and transmit, via one or more of the plurality of audio transducers, a notification to the passenger based on a determined passenger head position.
