LOCKING ASSEMBLY FOR RECLINER
A locking mechanism includes a housing, a cam disposed within the housing, and pawls disposed within the housing. The housing includes a first plate defining channels and a second plate received by the first plate. Each of the pawls is positioned within a respective channel. Each of the pawls has a first side profile defining a first notch and a second side profile defining a second notch. The cam is configured to engage with the pawls to translate the pawls along the channels such that the pawls engage with the second plate. The first notch and the second notch are configured to facilitate deformation of the first side profile and the second profile, respectively, as at least one of the first side profile or the second side profile engages with a sidewall of a respective channel under certain loading conditions to prevent disengagement of the pawls from the second plate.
RECLINING APPARATUS
A reclining apparatus includes an inner tooth member, an outer tooth member, a pair of wedges, an urging member that urges the pair of wedges, and a striker that moves the pair of wedges. Each of the pair of wedges includes a wedge body, a first end portion, a second end portion, and a protrusion. The striker includes a pair of pressing portions that presses the protrusion. Each of the pressing portions includes a pressing site having a pressing surface that presses the protrusion, and a movement restraining site that is provided on an opposite side of the pressing surface in the pressing site and restrains the wedge from moving.
REMOVABLE AND CONVERTIBLE SEAT ASSEMBLY
A removable and/or mountable seat assembly includes a seat back and a seat pan that are pivotally connected to each other via a locking device and rotate about at least one common axis of rotation. The locking device is in mechanical communication with the seat back and the seat pan and is configured to lock the seat back and the seat pan relative to each other about the at least one common axis of rotation. The locking device is configured to selectively lock the seat pan and the seat back such that the seat back and the seat pan lie along the common plane forming the stretcher or selectively lock the seat pan and the seat back such that the seat back and the seat pan form a seat. Additionally, the seat back and the seat pan may be locked in yet another position allowing for the easy transport and/or storage of the seat assembly.
Recliner Heart For Seat Assembly
A recliner heart for a vehicle seat recliner assembly may include a first plate, a second plate and one or more pawls. The first plate may define a recess. The second plate may include a first inner diametrical surface having first teeth formed thereon. The pawl may be slidably disposed in the recess between a secure position in which the pawl is engaged with a portion of the teeth of the second plate to restrict relative rotation between the first and second plates and a release position in which the pawl is disengaged from the portion of the teeth of the second plate to allow relative rotation between the first and second plates. One or both lateral sides of the pawl may include one or more slots.
Seat recliner for vehicle and method of manufacturing the same
A seat recliner for a vehicle may include: a fixing flange provided with multiple guide parts spaced apart from each other and having a guide groove formed along a locus having a predetermined distance from a center axis; and a rotary cam mounted on a center portion of the fixing flange, rotating about the center axis to press a locking gear such that the locking gear slides along the guide parts. In particular, the rotary cam includes: a first protrusion formed on a mount surface of the rotary cam, which is coming into contact with the fixing flange when mounted; and a second protrusion formed on a surface opposite to the mount surface and capable of engaging with a control plate. When the first protrusion is inserted into the guide groove, the guide groove guides a rotation of the rotary cam.
SEAT RECLINING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A first pole of this seat reclining device for a vehicle has a first limiting part, a second pole has a second limiting part, a second bracket has a first pole allowing part and a first pole restricting part. A first escape part is provided on the negative direction end of the second limiting part, and when the rotation angle of the second bracket to the first bracket moves from the angle at which the first limiting part engages with the first pole restricting part to an angle at which the first limiting part engages with the first pole allowing part, the negative direction end and the positive direction end come into contact, by means of the first escape part, in a direction inclined to the rotation direction.
Dual cam recliner mechanism
A recliner mechanism for a seat. The recliner mechanism may have first and second cams that may be rotatable about an axis. The first cam may engage and hold a pawl in an engaged position. The second cam may be spaced apart from the pawl when the pawl is in the retracted position.
BRAKE DEVICE FOR MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
A brake device for a motor vehicle seat is composed of a brake assembly, a tooth assembly, and a lever assembly. The brake assembly includes a housing, a pinion shaft, a braking component, and a drive wheel that are structured to be self-held in an assembled state by mechanical interaction thereamong. The tooth assembly includes a holder plate and a tooth plate that are structured to be self-held in an assembled state by mechanical interaction therebetween. The lever assembly includes an input lever, a cover, a coil spring, and a lever bracket that are structured to be self-held in an assembled state by mechanical interaction thereamong. The brake assembly, the tooth assembly, and the lever assembly are arranged and assembled together in an axial direction.
SEAT ASSEMBLY FOR ABSORBING ENERGY FROM A REAR OCCUPANT IN FRONT COLLISION
A seat assembly includes a seat cushion frame, a seat back frame, a bracket, a pin actuator, a sensor, and an electronic control unit. The seat back frame is pivotally connected to the seat cushion frame about a pivot axis. The bracket is fixed to the seat cushion frame. The bracket includes a cam surface, and a distance between the cam surface and the pivot axis varies along the cam surface. The pin actuation includes a pin. The pin actuator is fixed to the seat back frame. The pin actuator is configured to move the pin from a disengaged position to an engaged position. The electronic control unit determines whether the sensor detects the front collision of the vehicle and controls the pin actuator to move the pin from the disengaged position to the engaged position.
