Locking harness
A retainer apparatus including a first retainer portion, a second retainer portion, a wireless transceiver, and a sensor contained within at least one of the first retainer portion and the second retainer portion. The retainer apparatus includes the first retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a first harness strap and a second retainer portion configured to be slidably attached to a second harness strap. The first retainer portion is removably attached to the second retainer portion. The sensor is configured to detect the first retainer portion being disconnected from the second retainer portion and generate a warning signal. The wireless transceiver is configured to wirelessly transmit the warning signal to a controller in a vehicle to activate an audible warning alert to warn a user in the vehicle of the first retainer portion being disconnected from the second retainer portion.
Child safety seat
A child safety seat comprising a base and a body rotatably connected to the base for providing a seating space. The base is rotatably connected to the body via a rotating shaft. The child safety seat further comprises an electrical pivoting structure including a base pivoting member for electrically connecting to a base electrical device in the base, and a body pivoting member for electrically connecting to a body electrical device in the body. The base pivoting member is coupled to the base and has a base conductive part. The body pivoting member is coupled to the body and has a body conductive part. The base conductive part and the body conductive part are rotatably and electrically connected in the rotating shaft. The base electrical device and the body electrical device are electrically connected to each other via electrical connection of the base conductive part and the body conductive part.
Child safety seat alarm system
A child safety seat alarm system includes a child safety seat, an alarming device, a detection mechanism and a driving portion. The alarming device is configured to receive a signal and output an alarm signal. The detection mechanism includes a detector and a trigger mechanism. The detector is configured to detect whether states of the alarming device and the detector meet a predetermined criterion. The detector is in a non-working state when the trigger mechanism is in an open state, and the detector is in a working state when the trigger mechanism is in a closed state. When a child is seated in the child safety seat, the driving portion is operated to switch the trigger mechanism from the open state to the closed state so as to switch the detector to the working state. When the detector detects the states of the alarming device and the detector meet the predetermined criterion, the alarming device outputs the alarm signal for alarming. The child safety seat alarm system can remind a user whether or not a child is left in a car for preventing a dangerous scenario where the child is left in the car.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat is provided and includes a seat body, a driving portion and a detection mechanism. The driving portion is rotatably connected to the seat body. The detection mechanism includes a detector and a trigger mechanism. The detector is in a non-working state when the trigger mechanism is in an open state. The detector is in a working state when the trigger mechanism is in a closed state . The driving portion is rotatably operated to switch the trigger mechanism from the open state to the closed state, so as to switch the detector to the working state. The child safety seat can prevent a dangerous scenario where a child is left in a car.
Seat occupancy sensing with analog sensors
At least one analog load sensor, such as a force sensitive resistor is situated between upper and lower seat structures to generate a signal correlating with weight placed upon the seat. A vehicle has multiple seats fitted with sensors. Weight related information is communicated to a processor and an optional display, along with seatbelt latch sensor outputs to communicate to an operator if any seats are occupied without seatbelt latched. A weight force threshold for each seat is adjustable in one embodiment to customize the system to accommodate occupants of different weights and non-occupant loads of different weights. Loading information for the vehicle, such as total weight of occupants and/or objects on the seats and location of these loads upon the vehicle can be calculated and utilized to ensure that gross vehicle weight rating and load center of gravity and related parameters are within acceptable ranges.
INSERT FOR A CHILD SAFETY SEAT
An insert for repositioning at least one of the harness straps of a child safety seat in order to accommodate an occupant smaller than the harness is configured to accommodate, wherein the insert is adapted to locate between the child safety seat and the occupant and includes a pair of waist strap guides, each waist strap guide configured to allow a waist strap of the harness to extend through and exit the waist strap guide at a position narrower than where the waist strap exits the child safety seat.
Device and system for assisting actuation of a buckle release
A device and system that can be used to assist actuation of a buckle release is disclosed. A device can comprise a first arm and a second arm joined by a U-shaped connecting portion. The device can also comprise a button contact feature. The device can be inserted over a buckle with the button contact feature over a buckle release button, and the device used to assist engagement of the buckle release button by a person operating the device. A system can comprise a device and various additional features or accessories.
KC chest clip having an extension guard
A child restraint harness system includes first and second shoulder straps that have button holes located on the y-axis of the straps and a chest clip device which consists of two separate connectors that join together to form the chest clip device. On each connector, there is an extension guard located on the inferior portion of the chest clip device. Also, on each extension guard, there is a button located inferior to the bottom shoulder strap slot. Once the first and second shoulder straps are threaded through the top shoulder strap slot and then threaded through the bottom shoulder strap slot, the extension guard located on the inferior portion of the chest clip device can be buttoned into the shoulder straps, which secures the chest clip device in the proper position so the child cannot move the chest clip in the downward position. Once the child grows to the next strap level on the safety seat, the chest clip can be unfastened and each extension on the connector can be unbuttoned and moved up to reach the proper placement of the chest clip on the child.
Belt lock off mechanism for child car seat
Disclosed herein is a system for securing a base of a child car seat in an associated vehicle using a safety belt of the associated vehicle. The system comprises a base configured to support a seat of the child car seat and a belt lock off mechanism. The belt lock off mechanism includes a first arm movable between (a) an unlocked position in which the first arm is not configured to tension the safety belt of the associated vehicle, and (b) a locked position in which the first arm is configured to tension the safety belt of the associated vehicle. A second arm of the belt lock off mechanism is configured to engage with and urge the first arm to move from the unlocked position to the locked position so as to tension the safety belt of the associated vehicle.
LOCKING HARNESS
